A pleasant find in downtown Springfield, a downtown that has seen better days (decades), my first excursion to Emerald Art Center was «accidental». On the way to the Springfield library, my companion, a l’il person, was going to have an «accident» if I didn’t do something soon!
L’il person and I have enjoyed museums and visual art together since before he could walk or talk so Emerald seemed welcoming to us. Housed in a turn of the century (circa 1909) building, with brick walls and highly polished hardwood floors, is a spacious work, exhibit space for some very talented artists!
Workshops and classes are offered for all ages including «family» classes once a month.
Kid friendly is good with me!
