Fazoli’s

I have to admit this is my guilty bad food indulgence. The food is not always so great and the serve is less than stellar but I have to say that their garlic bread sticks and spaghetti with meat sauce is one of my favorite.

In recent weeks my husband and I have been going to Fazoli’s every Saturday for lunch. This weekend did not turn out as we had anticipated. My sister who I have not seen in five years is visiting from Georgia and of course she joined us for lunch today. So we order our food everything is fine, we see the girl pull the first tray of food out of the window and set it on the counter and then proceed to clean her fingernails above our plates. Needless to say we were very disgusted. The young man who delivered the plates to our table was advised that we would not be eating, so he returned our plates to the manager trainee that has been cleaning her nails above our food. When he told her the reason for the returned food she rolled her eyes turned around and informs the general manager. He did offer to make us new food; we opted to get our money back. Needless to say we will not return. What does this say about the cleanliness of this restaurant and of the Fazoli’s brand? So if you eat at Fazoli’s and the pasta seems a little crunchy, no worries it’s probably just fingernail grit; not under cooked pasta!

Food was sub par to be generous and the entire restaurant was dirty. Dirty tables, dirty counters, dirty floors. Just completely unappetizing!

Our last two visits to this Fazoli’s on Independence have been less than stellar. The last time we were there, we weren’t given a number, so when the food runner was walking around trying to find our table, he couldn’t find us because we didn’t have a number. We also weren’t given our apple juice for our daughter’s kid’s meal even though it came with a drink. And, we weren’t given our cups for our fountain drinks that came with our combos.
The time before that, we waited for 20 minutes for our food when my husband decided to check on our food and find out what the hold-​up was. What he found out was that our order was never placed. We were charged for our food, but the order was never put in.
We used to really love going to the Southside Fazoli’s, but based on our recent experiences, we’ll stick with the North Fazoli’s when we’re in the mood for fast Italian food… because the South Fazoli’s has proven to be anything but.

Decent fast Italian food, much better than the the Pasta House. The bread sticks are really great. Fresh, soft and garlicky :)

It is what it is… unapologetically. Fast Food Italian which to a Roman is an oxymoron! Anyway, if you hit it on a Sunday after church with a big extended family BEFORE noon, you’re in luck. No line and quick delivery to table. Stumble in after 12 bells and you’ll wait 20 minutes just to order at the counter and it’s likely you’ll get a mixup with the families orders surrounding you. Lite menu is cheap and just the right size with the unlimited bread stix they peddle incessantly table side. Dream of Tuscany but smile at the thought of the Euros you’ve saved and put it toward carnival in Venice!!!

One of my favorite Italian places to eat! Cheap, fast, and fills me up! Portions are really good!

Good Italian food.

It’s fast food, but served on plates by servers, right? So, it gets 4 stars. We just had a fun time. We went on a Tuesday night. There were balloon artists working. It was festive, and we didn’t even have any little kids with us!
I like the free breadsticks.
My salad was good. The people I was with ordered pizza, some chicken pasta thing, and lasagne I think. Everybody was happy. This is not the same as eating at Gilardi’s or Bambinos in Springfield, but it’s good enough!
We liked the fact that a little sign on the table pleasantly reminded you that you don’t have to tip. That was a savvy little gesture on the part of Fazoli’s, and it saved me $ 4.

Sub par Italian food. It’s not great but it’s cheap. The bread sticks keep this place a 2 rather than a 1. Sometimes someone comes around with a basket of hot fresh bread sticks… thats what I look forward to when I go. The rest was just filler. Don’t waste your time here.

Good emergency italian fix, but what’s with the big posters in the restaurant that say «almost trans fat free». GET RID OF THE TRANS FATS. Hello?! Why not «almost didn’t kill you, but it did», or «will only give you a stroke, not a heart attach».

I have the sampler platter from this place all the time for lunch. You get some spaghetti, fettuccine
alfredo, and lasagna all on one plate for a really good price. And if you’ve never had their garlic bread sticks, you could make a meal out of them alone. Word to the wise though, do not tilt the to-​go containers on their side or all of it will end up in a pile on your floorboard.

I’ll give any Fazoli’s 2 stars for their good breadsticks but everything I’ve tasted there is excessively greasie and lacks real flavour.
