Ryan’s Nails

It’s been a while since I’ve been here because I had a bad experience. This is a typical walk-​in nail salon and I’m not a regular client, so my standards are appropriate. I just wanted a good manicure/​pedicure that will last longer than a few days. The women there are very nice. You can tell they love their clients. I’m not a regular, so I get to be a fly on the wall. This last time, I started out with one nail person, but then she handed me off to an older gentleman who seemed to be helping out. He didn’t appear to know what he was doing because of the long thoughtful pauses and awkwardly handling of my feet with various utensils. I felt bad for him until I started getting annoyed with the time. I was sitting with my feet in water for about 45 mins. It turns out the man was a nail person’s boyfriend (not sure how accurate I am about that…) «helping» out on a busy afternoon. So, I’m putting it out there, I didn’t like my experience.

Laura is amazing! She also has two younger girls and a young guy who work there and the girls are great! Ive had my nails done by each employee and Laura (im sure due to experience) is as good as it gets with nail techs. The salon is neat, VERY clean, and modern (not cluttered and out of date like some of the salons in spf) — and Laura never forgets a name! Shes personable, friendly, and will offer you a drink as soon as you sit down. The two younger girls are very sweet and theres a small one who did my shellac manicure last week and she did a fantastic job! I do recommend calling ahead but she takes walk ins as well Ive noticed.
