We love the cooking and offering from the family that owns this bakery. The shop is closed when we stopped by last weekend. Everything was gone, no sign to tell you what and where they went. I suspect gentrification, the plaza owner may have raised the rent or evict once lease expired. Same thing seemed to happen to the Indian restaurant in the same complex. Sad to see this happens to these family owned small businesses that bring good food and character to a local community based strip mall. I am willing to drive 40 miles to patronize them often and purchase in good quantities for their food. I went to a nearby Vietnamese phở shop and asked the owner if she knows what happens and if the bakery owner is going to reopen elsewhere. It was great to hear that they will be open again near the LA chinese grocery store nearby once they get their licenses approved… Happy to hear that news! Can’t wait to take my boy to have their special and tasty authentic Vietnamese hot soups !

Le Bledo is supposedly in the process of re-locating to the shopping center in the 6400 block of Blandon Ave, Springfield. I spoke with the owner(?) in late June(2015), and she expected the move to take about 3 months. As of early August there was no apparent progress at the shopping center, so fans keep your fingers crossed.

Was passing through the area and wanted Vietnamese coffee. It was good, cold iced coffee and quick. Heads up they are moving.

Went in for baked goods, but was sorely disappointed. Maybe they sell out very quickly? Got to the shop at around 1030 am on a saturday and there were two pâté chaud left, and a box of cream puffs. They were meh.

I come here almost every morning for their iced coffee and it’s probably one of the best iced coffee in our area. It’s so addicting!

Half restaurant, half bakery/snack store. Not a lot of eating area. We ordered 3 banh mi’s(2 combos and 1 bbq pork), which definitely takes time to make, so be patient… it’s worth it. I tried both. The combo is good while the bbq pork wasn’t the type of meat I was thinking about. Beware of the Chick-fil-a drive thru line. I think they’re the reason why the parking is shitty.

This place is nearby Chik-fil-a. Every time I go by Buy Buy Baby, I try to stop by here lately. I love their Vietnamese Ice Coffee and bánh bèo and fish sauce. I tried their bun c but for me the soup was too salty, but my friend said it’s too bland. So it’s dependent who you ask. My husband said their bánh mi is good. Their homemade rau ma(pennywort drink) is decently good. I like the fact they asked me if I want to add sugar in it or not. Friendly customer service. Definitely will be back.

The to go foods here are pretty good. Try bánh bèo, bánh bot loc. They are decent,(I think it is better than the one at Eden center). Their bánh mì are not bad and the price is reasonable. I would recommend this place if you want some authentic Vietnamese place.

A couple months ago my boyfriend ordered a 12inch pandan cake for my birthday. I had about 15 people at my birthday dinner and every single one of them asked where we got the cake from. It was so HUGEEEEEEEEEE that 15 people can’t finish it. We had over half left over and he took it to his work to share with his coworkers — everyone enjoyed em’. It took us a little over a week to finished it. I’ll definitely send him back here next year … but a bigger cake: D

I love that they make the baguettes for banh mi here so I’m guaranteed to get fresh bread. I think its charming that the bread i get is at times irregularly shaped. The perfection is not found in its form but the warm and toasty end product you get when you stuff it with a well seasoned filling, wrap it in wax paper and pop that bad boy in the oven @ 350. Do it. I purchased some turnovers which were pretty good if you like something like empanadas. Not a fan of the steamed bun, found it bland. Bun bo hue broth had good flavor, but I’m not adventurous with my cuts of meat so if you’re like me and you’re not fond of the odd-ends/cartilageous/blubbery/tendony parts, you might find yourself cherry picking through the meat pieces.

I had a strong craving for Bahn Mis a couple days ago but unsure of where to go. So I googled it. This bakery came up and it was 5 minutes away. I knew the area it was located but I couldn’t for the life of me think of exactly where it was. So I put it in my GPS and drove out and lo and behold I found it tucked into a corner, hidden from the world. This place if I never read the reviews I would not have eaten there. It was cluttered it looked as if it may have been an unclean establishment, but I had read the reviews and ecpected this. The menu is right up above the register. I had decided to order a BBQ pork banh mi, only $ 3.50, great price. So the lady went back an made it. While she was back there I decided I also wanted chicken on my bbq pork banh mi so I called back and asked her and she replied«no it won’t taste good». An that was that. I mean who am I to argue about another culture’s dish. Plus she was an older lady which made me feel like I was at someone’s grandma’s house and I didn’t want to be dude by arguing. The cluttered atmosphere also added to the grandma’s house feeling. So the food finally came and I was impressed by how good it looked and tasted. All tables had Sriracha so I was sure to add that. My only complaint was that I wish the bang mi was bigger. Next time I go I’ll ask if there is a footlong option or just order two.

Every time I go here, which is less and less, I regret it. It used to be great but the owner has let it go downhill. The place is old, not so clean, and the service is atrocious(except for the nice guys who bring you the food when you eat in). The owner likes to scream at her staff and today when I called to remind her of my order for Christmas day(because the last time I placed an advance order they forgot) she hung up on me because she was too busy. Seriously. As for the food, let’s just say it’s no longer authentic. They throw in cheap alternatives rather than staying true to the recipe. Everything is made in advance and then reheated. It’s such a shame because there are few Vietnamese take outs in Springfield.

First time here had to try their bun bo hue since I heard it was good. Result: not good. Ordered it to go and it was stone cold already packaged days ago. Strangest thing ever IMO, thought it would be steaming hot.wrong. And it still tasted bland and was missing some heat and flavor. –Ordered the grill pork Banh mi. Bread was tossed into a microwave and meat was cold inside. Almost spit it out. But I was hungry af. DC Banh mi is the best still in this area. Only reason I came here is cause it’s open at 7am.

Le Bledo Dalat is a great find! I had no idea this place even existed, but to be far it is kind of off in the corner. My friend and I met up for dinner here one night during the week. We were the only ones eating and the place was empty. The owner was really nice and came over and chatted with us throughout making sure we had everything we needed. The menu is limited with only phở and bahn mi, but what more do you really need? It is also a market so you can take home all kinds of Vietnamese goodies. The prices are reasonable and everyone was friendly, I will definitely be coming back here for the delicious phở.

It’s a mom n’ pop like shop. It’s been at the same location for over 20 yrs. Nice owners that serves simple Vietnamese fast food at a reasonable price. Was here with a friend that I’m some-what hooked on their Crab & Shrimp Noodle Soup. So yummy! Will be a regular for sure!

Even before we moved to the area we’d stop in Le Bledo for iced coffee and banh mi en route to a family function nearby. Now it’s even more convenient being just down the street from home. They must put crack in the iced coffee, it’s that good. They finally switched to flat lids vs the frappé whipped drink lids that accomodate whipped cream. Has nothing to do with the flavor of the coffee, but always irked me. Their Banh Mi are great — bread soft and warm from the oven, pâté and mayo spread giving it richness. Le Bledo doesn’t have as many filling options as somewhere like DC Sandwich or even Ba Le, but they have all you need, really. As Jay B. said, don’t miss out on the soups. They’re phenomenal. Bun Bo Hue is delicious and this is the first place I had Bun Rieu a few years ago. Not to miss, but don’t try to visit on a Monday when they’re closed.

*review is based on Banh-Mi only. For convenience, my family buys Banh Mi here based on the closest proximity to their home. I swear, every time my mom buys it from this place and tries to feed it to me, I feel we’ve been cheated. The meat is low qualit. So to make the banh mi worth it, we have to buy extra meat to put in it! The pâté is okay, the Vietnamese mayonnaise was lacking on flavor and quantity, the cucumber slices were normal but there were only 1 – 2 pieces!, pickled carrots and daikon were way too shredded that I had to take them out of my sandwich. Overall, I never like my banh mi from here. I’m dissappointed that the sandwiches weren’t better. However, I read the other reviews here and would definitely want to come back to try the Bun Bo Hue! I love cooking Bun Bo Hue myself so next time I’ll try it and hopefully will be able to re-review this place.

Although somewhat hidden Le Bledo Dalat Bakery provides south Fairfax banh mi lovers the convenience of fulfilling their craving without having to drive to Falls Church. The banh mi menu is located in the middle of store close to the cashier. Unlike other banh mi shops Le Beledo’s menu does not arranged banh mi by numbers. So ordering can be somewhat complicated unless you speak Vietnamese. The price is comparable to other banh mi shops as well.

Tips: Credit Card accepted and they have a little sit-down area on the side We come here for the Banh Mi(Vietnamese sandwich) only. It’s pretty tasty and prob the best within the 10 mile radius. Great for a quick and cheap lunch. The Vietnamese Coffee($ 3.75) was way too creamy and we cannot taste the coffee at all. Guess we just have to go to Starbucks for the coffee with our banh mi. The last time we were there we saw people sitting at the tables on the side eating noodles. We’ll prob try it next time and maybe it will make up for the bad coffee. Will update if needed.
