Lindbergs has become our new favorite place to eat in Springfield. My husband and I don’t eat meat and we both agree that they have the best veggie burger in town. The pretender, another option for veg kids, is a vegan patty with some serious flavor. I always add the onion jam for a little bit of sweetness to compliment it. We’ve also tried(and thoroughly enjoyed) the grilled cheese and the hummus. The fries are always crispy and tasty, and the basil tomato soup and the French onion soup are both incredible. I’m SO glad they’ve started doing food. We’ve always loved going to Lindbergs and this just makes it an even more desirable destination.

This was my first time experiencing Lindbergs Tavern and the atmosphere is great, but the lighting is awkward and the food is sub-par. I went to the bar with a group of fellow architecture students looking for a way to unwind after a hectic week. We have been trying various beer spots in the Springfield Area. Walking into the bar, the lighting is great near the door, but as large groups are moved toward the back, the lighting becomes absent. Phone lights are needed to see items on the menu and when the food arrives, you can barely see it. Unfortunately, there is no happy hour and while their food prices are pretty reasonable, they are still above what most of us would like to pay. The food is also not that great. Many of the fries were over cooked and everything else seemed almost«tasteless». I had the«Daily Special» and was excited to enjoy a unique type of food entrée. When I received it, though, it was unique in an awkward, «is this really an entrée» way. The chicken was pretty flavorless and by the time you make it to the fries, they have become soggy and unappetizing. The best part of this entrée is the cheese curd element. They are trying and are a good local business, but there are definitely better options for a group hangout around Springfield.

Finally, I had my Lindbergs experience and it was nothing short of greatness! My boyfriend and I were rather hangry, and ranting off the usual list of faves to eat when he suddenly said, «wait, Lindberg’s serves food now!» So off we went with our expectations set on average pub food. Oh were we so blissfully wrong. I ordered a two patty Lindburger — added an over easy egg, and bacon, with a side of ranch for my fries. My boyfriend tried their daily special which consists of cashew chicken poutine fries. Needless to say, they took a Springfield staple and gave it a nice twist. The food was delivered in humble baskets but upon taking the first bite, my tastebuds went into heavenly overdrive and damn it was good. I ventured so far as to say their burger now surpasses the full ride over at Grad School(oh dang did I just start a «beef»). Now I’m not big on cashew chicken, but their cashew poutine fries were off the hook. The ranch dressing was superb, coming from a ranch snob, and definitely had to have been made in house. Our server included some ketchup and at first glance I was like«hah, I’m okay» but then THAT was also the bomb. Anywho, the gist is this: Lindbergs is great, so go head over right now and get their daily special which includes a beer for a measly $ 10!

The best bar food in Springfield by far. Everything made in house and a small, easy menu of deliciousness. Don’t miss out.

This will be a «food» review. I went in today because I heard they were now serving food, and lamb burgers were on the menu! To be honest I didn’t expect a «gyro» type burger. I really wanted just a well seasoned lamb burger… I actually ended up being very happy with it though. The lamb was a little dry, but had a nice light seasoning. The feta cheese was tasty with great texture, and you could tell it was of good quality. The tzatziki sauce was also good, and you could taste it was home made. I didn’t like that the sauce was put on the bottom of the bun. Because towards the end the bun got mushy. Maybe a slightly grilled bun would help hold in the moisture? The onions, lettuce, and paper thin cucumber slices were all fresh. And the side of fries were lightly seasoned, and«crunchy» praise Oden! With a fantastic house made catsup to dip them in… All at a reasonable price of $ 8. I’m a big guy, and was satisfied from the meal… Conclusion; well above«bar food.» And a smart move considering the other food establishments on this street close before 8pm. I’ll be back for Food, Beer, and Live music!

If you’re on commercial street, this is a great place to grab a drink and have a bite. Recently, they opened their kitchen and are now open at 11:00 am. Their in-house ketchup is outstanding. Take my advice, ask for another cup of ketchup because you’ll be wanting more. Another surprise is their cashew chicken poutine fries. Yeah, you heard right. They put two amazing dishes together and slammed it on a plate just for you. The prices aren’t too bad either. They carry White River, so have a Copper Creek IPA or a Table Rock Red Ale. If you’re there on the weekend, there’s usually a band playing, too.

A friend of mine moved back to the area and took a group of us here. It was a great experience. The inside is well kept and quality furnished. The music scene here is awesome. The first time we went here, there was a drum&bass and dub step show. These DJs were fantastic; it wasn’t just some amateurs with a set of turntables. They had huge displays set up with several girls on stage that knew how to dance and would come down and mingle with the crowd. It’s like there’s something in the air here; everyone is always having a great time and always very friendly. I’ve never had a drink made poorly here, either. I love this place. I couldn’t imagine going here any evening and not having a great time. Lindberg’s is, in my opinion, some of the absolute best concerning Springfield’s night life offerings.

Lovely old school bar. The staff is mega super nice. The drinks are also super affordable. They have a bingo night here that is crazy fun!

Lindberg’s is a cool little bar, supposedly the oldest in Springfield. It’s over on Commercial Street, away from downtown and with better parking. It’s a fun place to hang out, have some drinks, and hear some good live music. I’ve gotten to play music here a few times, and of all the Springfield venues we played, their sound guy always did the best job getting my violin loud enough to compete with the rest of the band. We had our«post wedding hang-out» here(’cause you can’t have a beer when the reception’s at a church) and heard several of our friends’ bands play while we socialized with friends. A good time was had by all!

This is a wonderful neighborhood bar that attracts a wide range of musicians due to the support the bar offers the music community. My cousin, who lives in Minneapolis and spends 5 nights a week enjoying alternative music venues there, loves this place best in her visits here.
