This is a once in a lifetime experience for anyone, any age. I took my 3 boys to visit Off the Wall Excursions on our trip through Louisiana. We were taken for a cruise on the Tickfaw River which borders the Tickfaw National Forest. We witnessed wildlife of all kinds. Including gator slides and snares. Unique swamp domeciles, cypress trees that were hundreds of years old, and migratory birds of all kinds. After our cruise the boys fished from the dock where they caught enough perch to fry up for dinner. The crawfish were also rolling, so we were able to boil up some killer Louisiana crawfish with some local made boudain as well. The flat we stayed in at the compound was very comfortable, clean, and neat. It is right on the river with the sounds of the Louisiana back country all around. Ours was a simple overnight introduction, but Mike offers many varieties of excursions. With New Orleans being only 30 minutes away, it is ideal for a couples retreat. It is no doubt a bird watchers delight as well. His hunting trips include swamp excursions for turkey, wild hog, and even gator. I can’t say enough about this layout and the gracious southern hospitality we were shown!
