I went in today to buy my books. I’m doing distance learning from Kansas City because I have a few credits there. I walked in with my list of books, and must have had a confused look on my face, as a gentleman came over and asked if I needed any help. I said yes, and he immediately took my list and led me around. I was expecting one of my books to be only available as a new book and was pleasantly surprised to see that they carried it used. It saved me roughly half of what I was expecting to pay. He even took the time to find me a copy of the book that was not so «used» looking. The other book I needed was found just as quickly. When we had found all the materials needed, the gentleman wished me a good day. Looking over all the«spirit items» in the store, I was impressed with how much stuff you could buy to show your pride. I admit, I had to get a t-shirt. With me living in Kansas City, I’m always proud to wear things from my hometown. Check-out was a breeze. I’m expecting financial aid for this year, and with this being the first time I’ve ever had to use it, I was elated to find out that I could defer the payment for my books until my aid was put into my account. Start to finish, the process took less than 10 minutes, and I was in and out. Everyone I encountered was so pleasant to deal with, and I left in a better mood that when I went in.
