Penn Station

I am a HUGE fan of Penn Station, and this one in Springfield is no exception. Always clean inside, and service has always been fast and friendly. No matter how packed the restaurant is we’ve never had to wait more than 10 minutes for our sandwiches, and they are ALWAYS delivered to your table hot. Penn Station has some of the freshest, crispiest veggies you’ll find in any «fast-​casual» type restaurant, and their bread… oh my goodness, their bread is AMAZING! So chewy and perfectly baked. My mouth is watering now just writing this review! My favorite subs are the chicken teriyaki (all white chicken breast chunks), the pizza (they lightly grill all of the meats), and the Italian (drizzled with just the right amount of Italian dressing). So delicious. The french fries are the best I’ve found in Ohio at a fast restaurant — brown, crispy, and so addictive. And ALWAYS end with a chocolate chip cookie. They are the softest, cakiest cookies I’ve ever had that are full of large chocolate chunks and almost taste buttery. Obviously I love this place and would recommend it to all!

Pretty good sub shop. Sandwiches made to order while you wait, excellent fresh French fries every time, fabulous homemade lemonade, & friendly staff. Only downer is sometimes the place isn’t as clean as I wish it would be. Restaurants always cut staff to save on payroll & then tables aren’t cleaned, restrooms get out of control. Gross! I can’t understand why mgmt. People aren’t smart enough to know these details count Big-​time!

My favorite place in Springfield for delicious sub. My favorite is the pizza sub but I also love the philly cheesesteak and reuben. My order has always been prepared correctly and in a timely manner whether I’ve dined in or used the drive thru.

I love the Italian, Philly cheesesteak and the Reuben, but this place is crazy during dinner time, especially on the weekends, but the food is still great

The food here vastly exceeded my expectation. The restaurant was clean and the staff was extremely friendly. I tried their Philadelphia cheesesteak with the «freshly squeezed lemonade» and fries expecting mediocracy and was blown aback.
**note: this place gets extremely busy! So if you need to get in and out fast avoid Lunch and dinner times.
**note: they offer a sort of call ahead drive thru pick up. My second time back here I tried this and it completely eliminated my waiting time. And I only called ahead maybe 10 minutes before I got there. A++

Been to our local PS dozens of times and it’s never disappointed me. Food is high quality products all the way down the line, especially love the turkey club with mayo and provolone, top notch. Not too crazy about the fries but never been a huge fry guy anyway. But they have chips as an alternative which works great for me. The price is quite high but I prefer to pay for quality so I am happy to pay it. And the crew has always been courteous and even a bit entertaining on occasion. The only thing that ever bugs me is it can get a bit crowded pretty quickly but hey that’s what happens when your popular, probably my favorite restaurant in the area because of the commitment to quality food which is always the bottom line isn’t it?

Greasy, flavorless subs. I felt like I was eating plastic play food.

We were out one day, everyone was hungry so we stopped in. Kids got pizza subs. My wife and I each ordered a chicken cordon bleu sandwich. Kids’ subs were fine but ours were terrible. First off, the dimensions of the white bread bun don’t allow for any toppings. They are too thick in height but the width is too small. We hardly received any chicken or anything else on them for that matter. We got a refund on our sandwiches and sat there while the kids finished up. We’ve been there before but have never been overly satisfied but this was the final straw. Never again will we go there. If you need a sub in Springfield, go to Our Hero or Mike and Rosy’s.

I had a takeout order from this location, and everything was perfect! The sandwich was just as I had ordered and hot! The server forgot it was to go, so for my time having to wait they gave me extra of those tasty fries!

This place runs a close first with my favorite Potbelly Sandwich works. Since I don’t live real close to a PS this hits the spot when I have that sandwich craving.
Their customer service is always outstanding and quick.
