I love their Phở. The place is pretty simple not fancy, but the food is good. At least what I have been eating so far! Which is Phở(vegetarian and beef). Service is OK, but not excellent. I didn’t have any any issues with their service, except they don’t go above and beyond to serve you(and I’m fine with that so far) When I have flu, I eat Phở and I get better Thank you!

I have been here a few times. The staff is always friendly. They don’t skimp on carryout orders, and even give you hot tea while you wait! I have to pass 4 other phở places to get here, but it’s worth it!

I’m not a Phở pro but when the server gives you a choice of white meat or dark meat in your Phở Chicken soup, that got my first star. The ingredients were so fresh and the bowl full to the brim with meat, super thin sliced onions, spring onions, cilantro and rice noodles made on the premises fresh everyday. The service was so prompt and courteous, I’ll frequent this establishment often.

Love Phở 495. I’ve been going there for the last year since I moved to the area. Their broth for phở is delicious and they have very reasonable prices.

Literally the worst place by far. I ordered vegetable phở, number 18 from the menu. First thinking they use vegetable phở, as in the water of the soup. they don’t. Then I found a piece of meat, then nicely telling the owner I proceeded to just keep eating it with out making a hassle out of things. After that I took a few more bites to FIND A FUCKINGFLYINTHEPHO. A DISGUSTINGFLY. SAVEYOURSELFTHETROUBLEANDJUSTGOSOMEWHEREELSE.

I have dined here twice and really don’t have anything special to say about this place. Least the service was okay the first time. The food is mediocre and portion for an entrée(other than phở) is little small.

Full disclosure: I’m American, but my friend is native born & raised Vietnamese. We both enjoy this restaurant very much. Both times I’ve had pork, he also had Phở soup and beef with thin vermicelli noodles. Today I had pork with vermicelli noodles & spring roll and the flavor was amazing. It comes with cucumber, carrot, lettuce and a few other veggies tucked in there so you can feel that you’re actually eating quite healthfully(if like me you believe that meat & «good fats» are a perfectly fine part of a healthy diet and I’m a size 6 thank you very much!). I hope more people give them a try, it’s never been crowded when we go(around 5 p.m. on Saturday). It’s in Springfield, across the street from the Richard Byrd Library, on the back side of the huge shopping center with practically any store you could need(Giant, dollar store, Kmart, Buy Buy Baby, David’s Bridal, nail salon, running shop, Treasure Trove thrift shop, CVS, Trader Joe’s). Consistently good flavor, good quality, freshness and good service. Highly recommended!

A friend took me by here one night last week before they were closing. I was happy to get a chance to see a Phở place in Virginia. This restaurant is spacious and clean and hosts the standard phở menu. I would skip their lemonade in favor of regular water. Order the number 17 — chicken phở ga and spring rolls, then let me know what you think. Looking forward to coming back to this place again for a more extended exploration of the menu.

I give 4 ½. The food is pretty good! The phở taste like the one my mom makes at home and my mom is a pretty good cook !! Often I don’t try new phở restaurants because they lack flavor and they make pre made stuff. But their bo vien(beef meatballs) are legit! The beef broth is full of flavor and so hearty. I also had to try their chicken wings. It wasn’t amazing but sufficient. It was slightly crispy but not everything can be perfect, right? Tips: If you love onions try the onions soaked in vinegar with your phở! Try steamed bean sprouts, they are a new texture to your soup I will be coming back!!!

The phở was decent. The service was«ok». Sometimes when I get beef phở my stomach gets upset, and I haven’t made a correlation between cleanliness or if my stomach can’t handle the undercooked beef. I’d come back but it would be like my 3rd or 4th choice. The place is probably the only Phở restaurant I’ve seen that can accommodate a larger crowd though.

My family likes this place since it’s close to their home. I’ve been here a few times with them. Service is friendly enough but they aren’t that attentive. Employees are a bit on the slower side. We enjoy their chicken wings, Phở, and rice plates. Though I wouldn’t say this is the best Phở out there, it’s still good. The broth has a nice flavor and everything comes out fresh. There is plenty of seating inside. If you’re in the area and in the mood for Phở, this place will do. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here though.

Ive been here many times because I really enjoy the phở but the service ive recieved was mostly horrible. The Phở is ready fast, a little greasy but tastes great to me. Everytime ive gone there has been a particular server who is always extremely rude. Very rushed. And doesnt even make eye contact when taking orders, looking off elsewhere as of he didnt care whether we ordered or not. On a a visit with my brother and our friends after we paid separately this same server shoved the tip jar towards my brother(we always leave the tip on the table) and my brother felt very offended. Its quite a shame because if i didnt feel like such a bother on the staff i would return more often. Pros: good food Cons: service so rude we only go if we are really craving phở and dont want to drive farther than we have too.

So I’ve been giving this place several chances to improve and they certainly have done a great job. I have no idea where that mean man went, the one that seemed annoyed after I asked to order more food for my family(which included a toddler). Their new staff is great. You still have to ask for water refills, which is an annoying standard for most phở joints, but all in all this place has done a complete 180 in my book. Food: I only go there order 1 of 3 dishes. Phở #2 Large. Slices of well-done brisket, well-done flank, fat brisket, soft tendon, and book tripe. The tripe is the best. Grilled chicken Banh Hoi which is their vermicelli option. Comes with thin rice noodles and fish sauce. I always order 2 fish sauces because I’m a Filipino savage who can drink that stuff it’s so darn good. Chicken Salad. I can’t say enough about this fantastic salad. If you want something fresh and won’t make you feel all fat then try this bad boy. This Vietnamese chicken salad is the only reason I have come back to this place over and over even after the mean man was… well… mean. As always ask for it in a bowl so you can bathe it in 2 orders of fish sauce. My white all American girlfriend always gets #15. So if you want to try something safe, try this. It’s just slices of eye-of-round steak. Nothing fancy, nothing weird, just delicious and simple. If she can eat it then anyone can! All dishes come with traditional fresh OR steamed bean sprouts, hot pepper, lime, and basil leaves. Mean man gone, other mean lady gone, new people nice, tables don’t smell like a dirty wet rag anymore, I guess I can’t complain. If you live in the area, Phở 495 is an amazing place to go to if you want Phở and you don’t feel like drying far. Stay away mean man!

The phở is alright, better than bad phở I’ve had at a few phở restaurants in the area. Don’t get the Fresh Spring Rolls, the ones I ordered the lettuce was not fresh & the outer layer of the rolls were not completely soft. Service is pretty bad, water refills are hard to come by unless you get their attention. If you ask for something not to be put in your phở, they will most likely forget & put it in there. Overall, I would choose another phở restaurant to go to, but if this is the most convenient or if my friend wants to eat there then I would not object.

This establishment has some amazing Phở. Ive been frequenting this place for years! The broth is fantastic and will warm you up on a cold and rainy winter day. Second reason I come here often is the ridiculously cheap price for a LARGE bowl of Phở…$ 8.95

Pretty spacious place. Lots of windows so if it gets lots of natural light during the day. The phở here is alright, better than average I’d say. Meat good too. Large bowl is 7.95. I like their eggrolls here though. Their eggroll skin is fried different or something and is crispy and delicious. I got their Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk as well. It was pretty good. Overall a decent phở place but nothing that makes it stand out in my eyes… other than the eggrolls haha Unfortunately, this does not seem to be the cleanest of establishments. Normally clean, but I usually get a feeling of it being a bit dirty. The last time I went, I found onion peels in my soup. Also their service is pretty bad, even for phở places. And that’s why I’ll take off a couple stars

This review pertains to carry-out. I ordered four entrees(Not Phở) Com tam, bun thit nuong, and two other rice dishes with chicken and beef. While I was waiting for my order I got approached by the wait staff on two separate occasions asking if I wanted water during my wait. The wait staff was nice and courteous. After receiving my food I went home and I have to say the food is just okay. I have definitely had better. This place will do if I feel real lazy and want a Viet fix. The portions are decently sized and is similar to sizes offered at other Viet restaurants. I will probably come back to try their Phở and see how that goes but it probably can’t beat the best phở in my opinion, Phở 75. Parking here is simple with a lot of open spaces. Cleanliness/décor of the restaurant is like any typical phở restaurant, it’s not bad but it certainly is not great. While I was there the tables were being cleaned right away once the customers left. Overall, the food is mehh, but I will give them a second try eventually for the Phở.

The food was good. Nice to eat some phở after a night of having a few drinks. I got the summer rolls which were good too. They had fried chicken that was okay. The seasoning was really good, but I wish the chicken was fried harder. It was too greasy and the skin was too soft. I would have given them three stars, but they had horrible service. They never came over to check up on us and when I tried to get their attention they were no where to be seen. I desperately needed some water. Eventually, we called them over after they delivered some food to other customers.

Phở 495 is convenient because it’s about 10 mins away from me. However, if I was closer to some other phở spots, this wouldn’t be my first choice. Servers don’t really check up on you, but that’s kind of expected. After trying phở here a few times already, I wanted to venture out and get the vermicelli noodles with grilled pork & spring rolls. I liked it, and it’s a good break from getting the usual phở. If you’re really hungry, get the fried chicken wings as an appetizer. It’ll fill you up and they give you salt, pepper and lime as the dipping sauce.
