Let me start by saying, I LOVEPIER1. I love their products — great, unique, affordable, fun. Love, love, love it!!! I live in Springfield Twp and have to say, I am always, consistently and thoroughly disappointed and offended by the staff at that store! CANCORPORATESENDTHEMTO A «HOWTOBECOURTEOUSANDPROFESSIONALTOOURCUSTOMERS» SEMINAR??? The female manager, in particular, I find to be unprofessional, rude and just not a nice person. It is so frustrating!!! Because of the people in that store, maybe I visit the store once every 12 – 18 months(I live maybe 1 mile from the store) and I frequently shop online instead. I just made a phone call to the store to ask about a product I saw online. Lucky me, that female manager answered. In the words of Pretty Woman, «You girls work on commission, right? Big mistake, HUGE.»

I was recently shopping in Pier One springfield for outdoor furniture and accessories. The staff was very helpful and friendly. One of the managers Trish was just great. She even helped me pull together some color schemes that I loved. I’ve been shopping here for years because I always have a great experience and their merchandise is just beautiful and unique. Go there! The spring collection is coming in and its gorgeous:)

In terms of Pier 1 stores, this one is small. However, it’s still just as stimulating to the senses as a larger store would be, and I found what I was looking for, so I left happy. The parking lot is pretty tiny and a bit busy since there is a Panera in the same strip mall, so be prepared to maneuver into some tight spaces and avoid pedestrians.

I purchased almost $ 1,000 in one visit here and was met with such a rude and annoyed manager making this such a lovely experience. Notice my sarcasm. I will NOT be shopping in this store again until that lovely pleasant woman who hates her job is removed. What a shame.

I love pier one… But only because I like to go in a look. I can’t buy anything because it’s so pricey. Now that I have a young baby it’s nearly impossible to go because id hate for her to break something. The staff isn’t super friendly, the times I’ve gone in anyway. Just seems like you’re an annoyance.

Had a rough time at Pier 1 Imports. Wife and I were looking for Throw Pillows for our couch. Put a few down on a sofa to compare. We had to put the ones we wanted on the sofa because they do not have carts anymore. They use these oversized baskets with wheels. We can only fit 2 pillows in one basket and we could not find one that was clean. Looked like a glitter bomb had exploded in the bins. As we stepped away to look at other pillows right near there, one of the associates, Kim Rucker, comes over in a huff. Angrily she takes all the pillows we were looking to buy and angrily puts them back on the shelf. All the while mumbling something about bad customers who cannot put anything back. When we spoke and said we are still looking at those pillows, she states, «I understand, but I am putting them back so that other customers can see them on the shelf. The customers cannot see them if they are not on the shelf.» So they become invisible when they are taken off the shelf??? Also there were no other customers looking at the pillows. We were intending to buy at least 10 pillows that day. I think she had a problem with my wife wearing a hijab. Needless to say I will not be shopping at that Pier 1 every again. I am tempted to go in there and remove all the pillows from the shelf and leave them on the sofas now.

Every time I go in here I brace myself for a blood-pressure raising experience. This time I needed cushion covers quick, so I put in an order online and had it set up to be picked up at the store. I tried to use the coupon that said«free mug» but it wouldn’t let me use it online. So I get to the store and the cashier is on on ‘ludes or something, brings me half my order and then takes forever finding the other half. Then I tell her about the mug coupon and she has to ask her manager who tells me it can only be used online(where it didn’t work.) I mean, I could have gone in there and done all this myself with way less trouble. I was there over half an hour and was late for my other obligations. It’s enough to make me go to Ikea.
