I hadn’t seen this review when I added mine under the new name(Oh Bok Jung: ). It sounds like they were still getting things together, because my experience was nothing like Jason’s. Everything was clean and the only smell in the air was sizzling meat. I also got hot water(boricha) as soon as I sat down and refills without asking. The menu had all items listed in phonetic spelling first, then Korean, with an English description underneath most. Also, they took my Amex without question.

I had enjoyed my previous visits, so I decided to have lunch here today. The place has a new owner, who is enthusiastic and friendly, but that’s about the only good thing I can say about this place now, unfortunately. The menu is almost indecipherable. Unless you read and understand Korean, you’re out of luck. The wait staff wasn’t much help. Some English translations would be nice. The fish stew had more bones than fish, which made eating a chore. The flavor was a bit off. Water is available only after repeated requests, apparently. They cannot accept credit cards although the warning signs were written only in Korean. And finally and fatally, a thin, high reek of rotting garbage repeatedly made its way to my nose. Do not want.
