North Springfield, VT
Definitely the best supermarket in Springfield, but given that it’s the ONLY one in Springfield, that’s not saying much! and it’s not as good as either Hannaford or Market Basket in nearby Claremont, NH.
Product choices are often not as extensive as Hannaford.
The store plays the game of overpricing products on the shelf, then charging less at the checkout, and telling the customer they’ve «saved» money. (Unfortunately I’ve encountered a number of people in the area that actually fall for this smoke-​and-​mirrors nonsense.)
There is rarely enough checkouts open, and while they have 2 express checkouts, most of the time (even during the busiest periods), only one is open. And their slower, less trained cashiers are generally assigned to them.
Parking is rather crowded in front of the store, but there’s always plenty of parking in front of the Advanced Auto Parts and the Peebles right next door.
