We recently purchased a new mattress from this store and the purchasing experience was fine. We were having a hard time deciding so the sales rep told us not to worry that if you get it home and decide it’s not the right bed you can exchange it no problem once for something else instead. The way he was saying this, both my husband and I got the impression that this was a free of charge exchange. What he failed to mention was that it cost $ 250(pretty much a 1⁄3 the cost of the mattress) if we wanted to do this exchange(plus the difference of cost in the new mattress). That’s something that needs to be told up-front so customers don’t purchase a mattress they’re not 100% sure about. Also when I called back to ask the store about this, the salesperson we bought the mattress through wasn’t in and when I explained to the salesperson on the phone that they never mentioned there was a $ 250 charge for the exchange he rudely told me «I doubt it.» My husband and I were both there, no mention of the $ 250 charge was ever mentioned, we’re sure of it. Sleepy’s is all about the fine print. updated: their customer service team corrected the problem and informed us that the salesperson should have told us about the fee and allowed us to exchange the mattress. We had purchased a king mattress set along with a sleigh bed 6 months ago. The mattress we selected turned out to to defective and Sleepy’s gave us a credit without any problem. In fact, that alone was a good sign to me that we selected an excellent company to do business with. We went to the store in Springfield, PA(TY Showroom) because it has a very large selection being their largest store in our area. I have to give the sales reps at this store an A++++. Both Kathy and Vlad bent over backwards to help us make a selection that we would be happy with. What I also liked was that they gave my husband and I space to privately discuss our thoughts about the mattresses we tried. It was refreshing that they did not crowd us. They both had excellent knowledge about the products that they sold and worked diligently with us to make the sales credit we had a good experience. Because we were working with«mattress professionals» we listened to what Kathy and Vlad had to say and based our selection on how the mattress felt to us and the information we were given. I highly recommend Sleepy’s and I strongly recommend visiting this Sleepy’s Showroom in Springfield, PA. Ask for Kathy or Vlad for top notch service.
