Springfield Music

We live in California and were headed to Missouri on vacation. The kids play the cello and violin. Our conundrum was that the kids needed to practice and it really wasn’t practical to fly with their instruments from a cost/​damage standpoint. But. .. the kids gotta practice. Why, oh why, couldn’t they play the piccolo and flute???
A few weeks before our trip, my wife found Springfield Music on Unilocal and spoke with Mitch. The dude was helpful, accommodating, and spent a lot of time making arrangements to set us up with rental instruments.
Wanna talk about delivering? Mitch was not working the day we arrived. .. However, the other employees were aware we were coming, everything was ready for us when we got there, and my son even got to try out two cellos to decide which one he liked better.
Instruments. .. check! Cases. .. check! Bows. .. check! Rosin. .. check! Contracts filled out. .. check! Exceptionally reasonable prices charged. .. check! 20 minutes in and out. Everyone was exceptionally polite and did an outstanding job.
On top of that, the place was impeccably clean, all the employees were beyond nice, and they had just about everything music-​related one could possibly be looking for.
When we went back to drop off the instruments, we got to the store about 25 minutes before they opened, as we needed to get to the airport for our flight. No problemo! There were two employees in the store who opened the doors for us and completed the final inspections and paperwork. In and out in 5 minutes! Maybe it’s a Missouri thing, but where we live the employees would have ignored us while they sipped their triple mongo half-​caf frapp with a sideways shot before giving anyone the time of day, then would have intentionally opened 5 minutes late.
When in the Springfield area, don’t hesitate to go to Springfield Music for any needs you may have. While they didn’t write the book on customer service, they definitely have contributed a chapter!

I live in Los Angeles. I have never been to MO let alone Springfield Music. I purchased some gear from them online and the service and communication was outstanding! I got the personal touch even thou it was thru the internet. We don’t have many old time music stores in LA anymore — We have the Guitar Centers and places like that but I know just from the one deal I did with Springfield that they truly care about their customers and will do whatever it takes to make them happy! If I ever have the chance to visit MO., Springfield Music will be the first place I visit when I get off the plane. Thanks again for everything.

This is a locally owned store. Their prices are much more reasonable than Hoover or Palen Music. On some things they can beat Guitar Center on price. The main benefit is that the staff here are friendly and eager to serve their customers. You certainly won’t find that at Guitar Center. At Springfield Music they always are knowledgeable on products and if there is a question they will find the expert or research for you. I’ve been going here for almost 15 years and prefer it to any of the other Music stores in Springfield.

I moved to San Francisco… but if I need anything music related, I am calling Mitch and Springfield Music to help me! Great inventory, knowledgeable staff, and an amazing lessons program. I would suggest Springfield Music for all your music needs.

They have a good inventory & a good helpful staff. They answer every question they can & get you the answers to the questions they can’t. They are also willing to order products they don’t normally stock if they can.

This is one of the best music stores in Springfield. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. They also sell a range of instruments from banjos, guitars, drums, to ukuleles. Can’t say enough good things about this store!

One of the best stores in Missouri and the best store in in Springfield. The staff is exceptional and the service exemplary. Great selection of gear! I love these guys.
