We rolled in here around 11 am on a Saturday and it was very quiet and the case was still more than half full. At first that kind of worried me because my hometown favorite donut shops are out of everything by 9 am on Saturdays… no need to fear, these were some of the BEST donuts and Danish I’ve ever had. My husband(also a major donut lover) totally agrees. While the red velvet and blueberry cake donuts I sampled were both fantastic, the star of my visit was the ridiculously cream cheesy Danish. Oh my gosh, so good. Low prices too. A friend recommended this place to us and we bow at her feet it was so wonderful. We got some pretty good coffee later at a donut chain in town but after these phenomenal St. George donuts, I know their donuts would have tasted like absolute junk!

Hands down the best donuts in Springfield! The flavor of the glazed donuts reminds me of the donuts I had when I was a kid. The donuts melt in your mouth and it is pretty much impossible to eat one without a «mmmmmm» sound as you bite into one. I have tried many of their donuts and have yet to find a donut I didn’t like! One recommendation would be to get there as early as possible because they only cook a certain amount of each donut and when they run out that is it for the day. You should be ok if you arrive before 9am. After that the picking gets slim, but like I said earlier you can’t go wrong with any of the donuts. I also think they close pretty early around noon or when they run out of donuts. Not very many places to sit down in the restaurant, but I always take mine to go so that never bothered me.

Traveling on I65 looking to stop for breakfast. And there it was, amazing St. George’s Donuts. Stopped in for a little pre-breakfast. Tried the chocolate raised and chocolate cake. Yep, amazeballs good! Love the crispy texture. Stop where you are and go to St. George’s. Even met George Jr, nice fella!

I was in an out within five minutes. The show case was stocked and a nice large sign showed what donuts were available. This location has a small amount of seating inside too. The Boston cream donuts were delicious and St George’s is known for their Old Fashioned donuts which remind me of fritter style donuts. Filled donuts of course cost more. Small selection of milks and juices. they were open on a Sunday.

Legitimately the finest donut in all the land. The classic glazed donut sings symphonies to your palate. The bear claws are excellent, the chocolate are exquisite, the cake donuts are fastidious, the glazed twists are elegant, the donut holes are ethereal and the people are friendly and helpful if you have any… questions… The thought of eating San Jorge Donuts makes my soul leap with glee. Unfortunately, I live in Columbia and have to settle for the sawdust that is Dunkin Donuts. In fact, I morally oppose any corporate donut production so I refuse to go there ever for the rest of my life, please believe me. As I rot away without any donuts in my stomach, I write this hoping that the next time you visit San Jorge, you toast a donut to the nearest patron in the store in my honor. God bless.

I admit that I may not be a donut aficionado, however what I lack in a discerning tongue I more than make up for in sheer quantity of donuts consumed. With full confidence I can say that the plain glazed donut fresh out of the fryer at st. George’s is the best I’ve ever had. The other donuts are also good but the real star is the glazed. The cinnamon roll is also a gift from the heavens. Get your donuts from st. George’s.

Fantastic Donuts! When they hand you your box of donuts, the weight alone lets you know you just got DONUTS. There is no need for special effects such as being topped with a candy bar or a bowl of cereal. These donuts stand tall on their own. They have a delicious, slightly crispy texture that makes them my favorite.

Coming from New York, it’s tough to find a donut shop that compares to the many amazing choices here. St. Georges gets pretty damn close. Their donuts are made fresh on the spot and constantly being brought out. I’ve not had one yet that I didn’t thoroughly enjoy. While cake donuts tend to be a tad dense, these seem to have a light airy texture to them. The blueberry is by far the best one they offer, followed closely by the simple yet delicious cinnamon sugar. The red velvet is another favorite. The cinnamon crumb donut is one I haven’t seen before, and is really good as well. They also offer several jam and cream filled options. The strawberry one I tried was pretty great, and extremely fresh. Honestly, you can’t go wrong here. The line can get pretty crazy, but it moves fast. The staff for the most part is pretty friendly and helpful. They tend to be a bit brash at times, but that’s probably due to the high volume of people coming and going. By far best donuts I’ve had outside of New York.
