Taylor’s Tavern

Still one of the best meals for the money in the area. The service is very good and the food is delicious. I always enjoy coming back here when I get in town.

We were looking for a local, non-​chain place for dinner while in the Enon area and came across Taylor’s Tavern. Although it has the appearance of a bar, they have much more than the standard bar food fare!
The Cobb salad was delicious. The others in my group got the buffalo chicken salad and the pork tenderloin grilled meal — both said they would recommend them. The portions are rather large so come hungry. Also, they have a nice sized patio.

Good local restaurant! The service and food is usually good. I love the quesadillas! They have also made some nice changes recently to the exterior and it looks a lot better. This is one of our go-​to local places and we will be back.

Love the patio and the food is very good bar food. The menu is huge with a ton of options. No draught beer is a big drawback for me. The inside of the bar isn’t great, but it is a true «local bar.» The staff is very friendly, but the service isn’t great, and can be bad at times. The patio alone is worth the trip in the summer, just wish I could drink a draught beer on it. Overall, it’s a decent bar.

On a co-​workers recommendation gave this place a try and was pleasantly surprised. Friendly waitresses, cold beer and some really good specials. I tried the lasagna and it was really good. The salad was very colorful with all the different veggies. The garlic bread was not the greatest, but was edible. Would recommend to anyone

We always stop here when in the area for work. The staff is great, the place is very clean, and they really have decent fresh food with a good selection on the menu. Not your average bar… check it out.

Taylor’s Tavern is getting a FACELIFT! I had/​have no complaints about their «divey» entrance, but I guess the rickety wooden entrance with peeling paint might scare off some!!! GREAT bar food, WONDERFUL outdoor bar/​patio, and top notch service! Give it a try, especially now that it’s getting warm– the patio awaits!

This place does not look like much from the outside, but they have a nice patio and outdoor bar. They have a great selection of food, some of which is not your typical bar food. Our server was very attentive and pleasant. We were disappointed with the timing of the food service because we ordered appetizers and then waited about 10 minutes to order our meals, but the appetizers, salads and meals all came out at the same time. Our server apologized and after we expressed our dissatisfaction again we ended up getting free desserts. Overall, the food was great and we loved the outdoor patio so we will definitely give it another try.

We were en route from the Marion Ohio popcorn festival back home to the Cincinnati area, getting hungry, but bound and determined to avoid chain restaurants right off the highway. Thanks to Unilocal we found this great tavern.
Don’t judge a book by its cover, I’ll tell you… From the outside I figured the best we’d do was a decent burger, but they’ve got a menu that puts Applebee’s to shame! All kinds of sandwiches, soups, dinner plates, specials. I had a scrumptious lasagna that came with an enormous fresh salad. My husband had a to-​perfection BLT that came with fries, and a bowl of soup. The food was plentiful and delicious. I fought temptation and passed on dessert, but I’m confident they are also homemade and great.
The barmaid/​server was friendly and helpful, and on the spot with refills. There were about 10 other people at the bar. They were all regulars, which is most definitely a cool and normal thing for a tavern in a small town that is not immediately off the Interstate. Did she give them a lot of her attention? Well of course, they’re her regular customers. Does that mean we felt unwelcome or ignored? Not in the least.
I just remembered… They have open WiFi! On with the extra star! For a small town tavern, I found nothing lacking.

Do not let the exterior appearance of this great little bar/​restaurant deter you! We eat here about once a month. The food is excellent. Great ribs, quesadillas, steaks and sandwiches. The side salad is also excellent. Service is prompt and friendly. The only thing that kept me from giving Taylor’s 4 stars is the fact there is no draft beer (cans and bottles only) and the dart board is too close to some of the food tables. I’ve heard great things about the patio but have not been out. Good selection on the juke box and reasonable drink prices. They have bands sometimes on the weekends but we like to go for dinner thought the week so we can take our son. The outside of the building is in need of a little TLC, but in no way indicative of the food, atmosphere and cleanliness of the inside. Taylor’s scores and A+ in all of those categories. I love the food. Excellent quality with a great price. I always get the ruben sandwich. They carry a wide variety of menu items from salads, steaks, seafood, pasta and many others. They have a large patio for the summertime with an outdoor bar. This one of the best places you can eat at in the area.
