I love this spot! It’s wonderful when I get to sit outside, but even the inside is cute and quaint. The food is always delicious, I’ve never had anything here that wasn’t scrumptious. The tea selection is fantastic and their cocktails are tasty too. Definitely make your way here, as this tea room is FTW.

We used to love this place, but tried for lunch and lasted only 15 minutes. Were seated in the back corner, at a dirty table, with dead flies all on the window sill. Crumbs were all over our table and stains. Waited 15 minutes, while the server walked by and ignored us. No drinks or greeting. The food is decent, service is horrible and environment is gross. Lost our appetite and left. Won’t be back!

A place is good if the food is good, and the food here is excellent. Do you want fresh? Go to the back courtyard behind the seating courtyard and look at the intensive garden where the freshness comes alive from the ground to your plate! Lime & thyme potato salad is solid. Mediterranean sampler is house apex dish, secret homemade balsamic dressing, authentic feta, house made olive tapenade, and excellent humus and cucumber yogurt dip. Beer is cold, service is good, ambiance is nicely done! Cool neighborhood, great seating options, great deserts, everything is scratch cooking with the best minimal ingredients so you can really WOW with the flavor.

Great service, charming little café, Goji Berry Oolong tea was super. The food was good. I had the Mediterranean Sampler, and Mozzarella Pesto tomato panini. Everything was tasty. The balsamic vinaigrette was a bit too strong though.

Some of the best chocolate cake ever. The wife, and I stopped in for desert. I had the cake the wife had a peanut butter chocolate browny. For both it was under $ 8… The place is small, and quaint. Don’t plan on taking more than 4 people. Especially if dining inside. It’s an eclectic place with small side rooms. Petite chair, and tables. Water is served in mason jars with pictures and knick knacks throughout… That being said; I’ll be back for sure!

This place is very charming but very tiny. My husband and I just came in for deserts. I had a chocolate cupcake with chocolate ganche, my husband had a scone and lemon bar. I wanted to give this place more stars but I couldn’t. The bakery items tasted old and the place was cramped. I felt like I couldn’t turn around without bumming into something or someone.

I absolutely love the atmosphere of this little(I mean little!) restaurant. My mother and her cousin visited recently and the food was excellent. Service, too. I really look forward to another visit. The quaint, older neighborhood/location is another plus for me!

What a cute find in town! I love that you can mix and match any teas you would like, if you are unsure of what to order the waitresses are great at recommendations. Their hummus and warm pita chips are my by far my favorite I have ever eaten and their salad are pretty delectable too. The only cons to this little treasure is that the inside is very tiny so if you want a little breathing room you have to sit outside in the garden area. Also the service was not great we waited 15 minutes at the gate to be acknowledged while waiting to be seated, I actually had to wave down a waitress to finally get a seat. After being seated we were attended to right way but once we got our drinks, salad and appetizers we again had to go find a waitress to get refill on drinks and our checks.

The patio is reminiscent of a Spanishy patio, which is just a nice relief in Springfield, MO. The inside is close and intimate. Their walls are constantly changing with local art. As you would expect, they have a nice long list of teas. The rooibos vanilla tea is phenomenal! I have tried nearly all of their vegetarian options. The hummus is pretty good, I’m not a fan of the potato salad with thyme, and the grilled cheese is nice. However, it is the daily special of quiche that keeps me coming back for more. Their soups are sometimes vegetarian, and every time I have had it it has been great. It is not for a quick meal, but a wonderful place to escape to.

I was told this is where to go for quiche, but they didn’t have it during dinner. Whoa is me and life must move on, but there is a sampler! Pros: Specials, specials, specials(Gnocchi) Chicken curry Salads Corn Quinoa Salads Herbal Teas Scones This a small tea house, hipster, relax, outdoor seating when it’s not humid(wait when is that going to happen in MO?). If you are looking for something of more substance and comfort, honestly don’t come here. This is more of a place for conversations, read a book, drink some tea/talk about politics, etc. with some friends and eat a salad b/c you just had some biscuit and gravy for lunch.

A-OK sums it up. Cute tea room, fun location. Food it mediocre and small portioned. If you want to feel like you are having a «cute» meal rather than a tasty and satisfying one, this is the place to go.

Thank you, Unilocal, for uncovering another hidden gem in an unexpected city! 8 reasons I will definitely return to Tea Bar & Bites: 1. The extensive tea menu, including lavender(the first cup of my choosing)! 2. They offer outdoor seating. 3. Curry chicken salad was plentiful, fresh, and tasty! I would definitely go back for this. 4. Unique atmosphere: the interior has windy hallways, and you may be seated in one of 3 or 4 rooms. It really feels homey in the best way possible. 5. Omg, did I mention what a variety of tea they have? Don’t worry if you don’t want the caffeine. There are so many herbal options! 6. Tea is served in a cute teapot(mine was pink!). 7. Super friendly waitstaff. 8. Merchandise(tea supplies, trinkets, of course, tea…) sold at the front.

Its been a while since I’ve been to tea bar due to my busy schedule, but it is the place I’m always saying«I got to get back there». Each time I’ve gone the food, dessert, tea selection and atmosphere has been perfect for my taste. Definitely the prettiest and most relaxing patio atmosphere in Springfield, a menu that screams fresh, healthy, original flavors. There is also a perfect balance of quaint and intimate décor with the right amount of rough edges to remind you this is a local family owned establishment built out of heart and not greed. Please check it out. Its a gem.

Had a great cup of coffee and delicious salad. Attentive server. It’s been way too long so we ate there. The décor is so refreshingly different. It’s not overpowering. Lots of light flowing in through charming little ancient old windows. Lovely old tablecloths. It could be a set for a movie with Rachel McAdams. Under«Attire» I’m going to click«Casual», because it doesn’t seem like a heels and dress-shirt kind of place. That said, my guess is that most diners at this little restaurant do not wear the duds they’d wear to clean a car or lead a baseball practice.

This place is absurdly adorable. I had lunch here with my family(Mom, Dad, Grandma, Aunt and the hubs) while I was in town for a visit, and was completely surprised by the location. You walk through a gate and courtyard to get into the lobby, and if you want to sit inside the server will lead you through a maze of adorable little tea rooms. They also have shaded tables in the courtyard of the building they share with other businesses. The food and tea are delightful. I ordered the house iced tea, which was probably the best restaurant iced tea I’ve ever had. Honestly. It had orange and cloves or some deliciousness in it that had me slurping down several glasses. I also ordered the sampler plate and chose(among many options) tuna salad, pesto pasta salad, asparagus soup and a scone. Just. Amazing. The food, the outdoor atmosphere, beautiful weather, my family, that iced tea! I had a precious experience at Tea Bar & Bites!
