I’ve generally always come here or Le Chamois at the base for Pizza and drinks… but if you’re looking to stay on the mountain, come to KT Base Bar. As the name suggests, this is located at the base of the KT-22 chairlift – which takes you to all of the Black diamonds at Squaw. KT Base Bar has both indoor and plenty of indoor seating. I love the bar outside on the deck, because the bartenders are always so friendly and talkative. I usually get the Hot Apple Pie(hot apple cider, Tuaca, a cinnamon stick, and whipped cream on top) as my drink – absolutely DIVINE on a cold day(or warm day) shredding the mountains. You can order food from both inside and outside, and the wait time varies. I recommend the nachos for a large group of people(7+)…definitely plenty of food to fill those hungry bellies. but not too full to make everyone go into a food coma before hitting the slopes again. :)

A great place to sit outdoors and have a beer and nachos. The nachos are very good and stacked with goodies. The at-table selection doesn’t have the onion rings that I wanted to try based on other reviews. That’s a shame. Also, the outdoor service seems confused here. My initial server told me he had just changed sections. Then it took a while to get a server, and once we did, he was responsive. Though, the food runners were constantly asking who ordered what. Might be worth coming up with a better system there for telling the runners where to take a dish.

This place is at the base of KT. Great atmosphere. It is restaurant style, and wait staff take your orders. Each food and alcohol drink item runs $ 9-$ 17 a pop. The quinoa and kale salad was great. Our waitress, Dylan, took our $ 50 order(2 drinks, 2 salads) and when I asked if I could have a glass of water she said she could bring me a bottled water OR I could go get my own water inside the building, around the corner, at the water fountain. Dylan followed this with, «I don’t have time to bring everyone water out here.» Ironically she did have time to bring us a cocktail at $ 10 a pop? The food was not delivered by Dylan … rather the food servers. Never in my life have I been in a restaurant where I was told to get my own water. Dylan, you may want to consider another profession. Squaw is a 5 star resort, and Dylan changed all of that.

Pricey but solid food. Love sitting by the fire pit in a sunny day sipping their spicy Bloody Mary with extra celery.

It’s hard to beat outside seating by fire pit on a gorgeous day out on the snow! We grabbed fish and Korean BBQ chicken tacos for lunch, and they were really good. I also had a hot chocolate, which was super! They had burgers upstairs, but downstairs had a nice spot for bagels, sandwiches, burritos, tacos, salads, desserts, and cupcakes! The actual bar food was pretty decent also — flat bread pizza was yummy.

Awesome stop in between runs right at the base. As long as the weather is decent it will save you a trip inside. I had 3 shots of fireball for $ 5/ea and I was ready for my last run down the slopes like a champion. Beers are a little pricey though.

We sat outside by one of the fire pits(which as it turns out doesn’t generate much heat), inside they’ve got a sports bar thing going. Our waitress was cool, though super busy… we didn’t see her all that often. Aside from a small drink mixup it was all good, their nachos were more or less as advertised and our beers hit the spot. I wouldn’t rule them out for apre ski if you’re right there.
