L.A. Tan

This is the best LA Tan to go to in the area!
I have one much closer to my home but I go an extra 6 mi out of my way because the beds are better maintained, the facility is larger and cleaner than S. Elgin. The staff is always warm & friendly. Amy & Carolyn were very helpful & knowledgeable in getting me started after being away for a couple years.

Had a wonderful experience tonight! The versa pro line was a 45 minute wait. And Ashley (one of the receptionist) asked if I would rather airbrush! I said yes because I love the way airbrush looks! So she sprayed me and she honestly was so professional and genuine! I will defiantly be coming back for an airbrush by her!

Amy and her staff are truly amazing people. Their knowledge of your tanning experience will be personalized and professional as mine was. The cleanliness of the rooms are meticulous. Love my time spent there. All they need is a Palm tree and I would believe I was on the west coast. See ya soon!

The staff here is nice and knowledgable about the products they have in store. I like the large number of tanning booths, as there is little to no wait, even on $ 5 Tuesdays. I am giving this location ⁴⁄₅ stars because in the tanning room there was no mirror, trash can, or towel provided for me. I would have liked to be able to wipe myself off after tanning, and be able to look at myself while applying lotion, so I have even coverage. A little disappointed in the individual rooms, but overall a fine visit.

When I first signed up for my membership three years ago, they were very friendly and helpful. Before I became a member, I have never gone to a tanning salon before so they were very helpful and gave me good information. They also recommended what kind of lotions to use. I still go to this location and I’m always satisfied. They are very nice, and they make sure the beds are clean at all times. It seems that the tanning equipment is up to date and they change their bulbs frequently. I have gone to other La Tan locations, and Saint Charles is the best. The rooms are big and there has only been one or two times I’ve had to wait for a bed to become available. The other locations I’ve gone too aren’t nearly as good as Saint Charles; the rooms are crammed and they sometimes have longer waiting times than here since the other locations have less beds available. I saw previous reviews that had complaints about the restroom, they recently remodeled it and cleaned it up. It looks great!

I love this la tan. The staff is always helpful and so nice! I never find that I have to wait in a long line or for a bed. Maybe on $ 5 Tuesdays but the deal is worth it! Some salons feel grungy when you walk in but not this one. It’s always clean and decorated so nice! I would definitely recommend this location.

This is were I like to go to tan. The place is very clean and the staff is great. The equipment is maintained. This location is so much better then South Elgin. There’s no reason to go to another location.

I will travel 15 minutes away to go to this LA Tan before I ever step foot in the South Elgin location again. This LA Tan is clean, organized, and the facility is big with multiple beds. They change the light bulbs, they know their lotion products, and they are extremely clean.
The reason why I am giving this location four stars instead of five is because unfortunately one of the girls that works there can be a bit rude sometimes. It seems that she likes to sell more lotion than to actually set up a bed for a customer. Other than that though, I say a big thank you to the Saint Charles LA Tan location.

The staff at this L.A. Tan is incredibly knowledgeable and offer great opinions and advice which always holds to be truthful. The salon is kept clean and professional. I have been tanning for many years and have been to various locations and at this location every time I walk in they are cleaning and the bathrooms are very clean.
The girls refer to me by my first name as well as others and get to know each customer individually, which in my books is great customer service. On top of that I always see smiles and hear them telling each customer to «have a great night.»

There is one girl that is so rude she only cares about making her commission off of selling lotions. I understand they want to make money but when its obvious and very pushy it just turns into bad customer service.
They also have outdated beds… there are several other local locations that I will be going to now… I don’t mind driving a bit farther for better service and beds.
