Maybe it was the wrong time to go in at noon on Sunday but it was slow service, slow to order, slow to refill, slow to get food. The extra star comes from the food my wife ordered penne a la vodka. She really enjoyed it. I had the St Louis style pizza. Just avoid the pizza, crust was super hard. Should have gone with a burger.

Was amazing the first time. This time not so much. Don’t get mild or medium wings expecting them to be hot because they just taste like honey mustard. waitress couldn’t tell me why. The 5% off is pretty pointless but I used it just to make a point. Hope it’s better next time

I love this place. A little bit of everything on the menu, full bar, patio and volleyball. New Town people like to have fun and this is the place to be.

Its been a year since we were here last. Much better experience this time. Sat outside just looking for a quick bite and it happened to be taco Tuesday ! Woohoo! Tacos were good and cheap. Service was quick and attentive.

I live in Chicago, but grew up in St. Charles. Every time I come into town, there will always be a visit to Padavan’s NY. It’s a hidden gem in New Town! The service has always been great. The servers are friendly, attentive, and never make you feel like you are being rushed through your meal. I have always experienced superb customer service when dining at Padavan’s. The food is equally, if not better than the service at Padavan’s. If you like sushi, give the Padavan Roll a try. I typically start out with that, and it’s DELICIOUS. The NY style pizza is amazing, also. I always order the Meat Lover’s, and it’s SOFREAKINGGOOD! I am a vodka drinker, and the bartenders ALWAYS make my drinks just how I like them. STRONG. Not that watered down business. All in all, a great environment for families to dine. Or even if you are out for drinks and grub, solo or with a friend. I recommend everyone in the New Town and surrounding St. Charles area to go by Padavan’s. As I said above, it’s a hidden gem!

This place is hit and miss. Depending on who’s working and what not. I noticed a few servers are lacking in customer care and urgency. They could do better at times. The food is good most of the time. The menu is a little random. It’s a good place to chill and watch a game if there isn’t a bunch of screaming kids running around. I would like to see the owner care a little more about the place and pick it up a bit however. I would recommend the pizza but again, depends on the day and who’s working. I’ve had great pizza and also crap pizza

Padavan’s is a great spot with an impressive menu. The NY style pizza is unbelievable, you’ll have leftovers for a week. The Padavans roll is also a nice surprise… certainly worth a try! Check out the weekly specials for more hidden treasures on the menu. There’s also a nice outside dining area if it’s nice outside!

My family & I dined @ Padavan’s NY last night. It was our first visit & we had one of the best dining experience’s ever. We started out with the wings & they were the best wings we have ever had. The chef ‘Markus’ deserves ‘First Place’ in preparing these mouth watering wings. I had the corn beef & cabbage & the meat was so tender, you could cut it with a fork. The seasoning was perfection! Several of our guests tried the pizza and the crust was delicious! Great atmosphere and service! The restaurant was very busy and we were impressed how quickly the food arrived. The chef came out a couple of times to check on his guests. We cannot wait to have dinner @ Padavan’s again. Thank you for the great food, service & atmosphere. Megan & John

Ria is an awesome waitress! She is super attentive, sweet, and overall great. They also have good drinks, and some of the best pizza around.

Love this restaurant! The attention to customer needs is exceptional. Markus cooked something special for me to help me stay on track with my diet. Means a lot! Nice side salad, main course was poached shrimp and green beans! Very yummy!!! Nice glass of Chardonnay. On top of that, very friendly. Love showing up for lunch or dinner, sitting at the bar, and being engaged in conversation by not only the staff but the patrons. Love hanging here on a snowy Sunday.

I just recently moved to New Town and glad that I already found my go to place. Their pizza is amazing! I always get the meat lovers! Huge portions for great prices! The service is always really friendly and fun to hangout with! The waitress that served me was Ria. She is always really happy and makes sure I get great service. The drinks and shots were great as well! I am telling people they need to go!

I have eaten here several times and my favorites are the garbage pizza and dry rub wings. Also good are the penne alls vodka, burger dog, and mixed greens salad. One other cool bonus is that you can get pizza by the slice. Service is great as well!

Padavan’s NY is nestled in the creepy little village of New Town, which is so new and so sanitary that you feel like you’re on the set of The Truman Show. Unsettling environment aside, Padavan’s NY is a great spot for some food and drink. The staff there were extremely nice and attentive during my last visit, and the food was really pretty good. The menu is all over the place. Sushi, burgers, pizza, fried oreos. It’s a little bit of everything. I had the Fuh Geddaboutit, which was an absolutely delicious steak sandwich, served with peppers and cream cheese. The fries that accompanied it were also very good. I also tried some pizza, and this is the closest thing to a New York slice I’ve found in the midwest. Great sauce, great cheese, decent crust, and some really high-quality toppings. The drinks are well-poured, and there is pinball! I’m sold. All in all, Padavan’s is A-OK in my book. If it weren’t so far away, and if New Town weren’t so creepy, I think I’d head back there more often, especially if they add a few more pins.

I not sure what people are expecting — it’s a bar, with good bar food and American restaurant standards. Prices are reasonable, and service has been good when we’ve visited. 3 stars seems pretty harsh, unless you’re comparing it against the Blood and Sands of the world. I prefer to keep my reviews contextual to the appropriate category.

This place is either a hit or miss at times when it comes to service. They’ll get really busy or some of the servers or bartenders will forget to check on your food being ready. The food is always amazing, but when they’re busy you won’t enjoy your stay. This place is more of a party central. Good place to get drinks but if you’re getting both, or go for food you may have to wait awhile. Sometimes they’ll change their menu and say they either ran out of certain foods, or don’t sell it anymore but sell it the week after. Staff is hit or miss at night. Sometimes the staff is rude, other days they’re nice. Depends who you get, or when you go. If you go to dine, go during the day. Otherwise go at dusk only if you’re looking for some drinks and a good time.

You have to love taco Tuesdays. What a great deal on some fantastic tasting tacos. It’s definitely a Tuesday tradition. Sand volleyball and tacos. Bucket specials are reasonably priced while also being cold and refreshing. The owner Greg knows how to take of the customer. We had a small misunderstanding and stepped in a made things right. He gets the customers. Will be going back there again and again.

This is a great little place in New Town St. Charles! They have different specials every night and tonight was $ 1 taco night. We obviously had some tacos which were very tasty especially with Marc the head chefs homemade taco sauce that was served warm! We also tried some of the mild buffalo wings with a side of ranch. I have to tell you that these were some of the best chicken wings in the area! The ranch was also very good and had the texture like it was made in house. The service was excellent tonight even though the place was busy. The only thing I would say on the down side is that it can get pretty loud at times mainly because of the design of the restaurant but that’s also to be expected when people are enjoying a good evening with good food and friends!

It’s such a sad day when the changes made to your favorite restaurant make the overall experience less than stellar. I regret to inform everyone this is no longer my favorite spot. I have been to Padavan’s four times since my last review, and I am sorry to say I am not excited about how things have been. It seems every time we go they are out of half the things we order. We have tried to order their signature sushi roll seven different times over the course of dining here, and we were only able to get it once. They are always out of either the sauce, rice or other main ingredient. They were also out of unsweetened iced tea and Sicilian pizza dough. Those were the exact three things we were there to order. It just makes for a bad dining experience. The server has to get tired of saying, «Sorry, we are out of ‘X’ ingredient for ‘Y’ reason.» I settled for a New York style pizza, but to my dismay the center of the pizza was under-cooked and I couldn’t get it onto my plate without stretching the dough like taffy. I sadly took the lion share of the pizza home and tried to microwave the dough to a more cooked state, but alas… I was unsuccessful. In the last four trips they were out of at least two things we requested at each sitting. I don’t know if it’s a staffing issue, financial straights or whatever else it could be, but they seem to be shooting themselves in the foot more and more each time we frequent this formerly exquisite establishment. I think I will take a break from dining here and see if the problems can be rectified over time. It pains me to say this, because Padavan’s is close to my house, open late and until recently been so wonderful. Please bounce back so I can resume my frequent dining bliss!

My wife and I were on a mission to try out a little Frozen Yogurt place we had been hearing about called Doozles, and figured since we were driving to this side of town, we’d get some food close by as well. Unilocal led us to Padavan’s NY, which was in a part of town I simply never go to. I have to say, I do not avoid New Town for any real reason, I just never really had a reason to go. No one I know talks about this area, so why go? We found Padavan’s NY buried inside a gorgeous neighborhood, which opened up into a small business area featuring a pair of beach volleyball courts which were playing host to some sort of tournament at the time. There were several people out, both on the courts and spectating, and I noticed right away that Padavan’s had servers in the crowd bringing out pizzas and whatever else was on order. Walking into the bar was a bit confusing, as I am used to either a hostess or a sign permitting people to seat themselves. We saw neither, but the indoor area was pretty busy, so we went out to the nearly empty patio. We were initially nervous as to whether we would be waited on, but within 30 seconds of sitting down, Lisa, our server, came out and took our drink order. Service from this point on did go a little slow. We were taken care of, but we saw another server on the other side of the patio about twice as often as we saw Lisa. Luckily, the patio was very nice, good music coming through the speakers, and the weather was fantastic, so waiting didn’t really bother us. For dinner, my wife had the Burger Dog, which was basically a hamburger rolled into a soft tortilla, with the usual burger toppings of cheese, lettuce, etc. I had the Texas Burger, and we split a small order of wings, just because the menu bragged about how great they were! Both of us enjoyed our food, and the BBQ wings were quite good. In all, we had a good meal, had a good time, and we left smiling, which is as much as you can ask for when trying something new. We will be back, and if you are in the New Town area, I recommend you try it out for yourself. I’m not sure I’d make a long drive just for it though.
