My wife and I each ordered the chicken modiga, it had a good taste but could’ve been hotter it was barely warm. The service wasn’t all that great either, we had a group of 7 and over half was waiting for the server to come around with refills. And like somebody else mentioned we saw the staff drinking and watching the football game.

The food was blah some of the beer over priced and the service terrible. Service was extremely slow. Our server got our order wrong, didn’t give us plates, utensils or napkins. We had to ask him repeatedly to remove empty glasses. We will not be returning

I would not recommend this restaurant. We went there one Sunday morning for brunch, not bad. So, a few weeks later we thought we would try dinner there. We received our salads, with the meal. Our fries were not cooked and food was not as ordered. We saw employees drinking on the job. We asked to talk to a manager, it took about 10 minutes for him to appear. He made excuses and did not even apologize. We will not be going back again.

Rounding up to 4 stars. I came in for a business lunch today having never been here before. Service was prompt, friendly and accurate. Food was a bit better than average bar fare. Pricing was reasonable. I asked the waiter’s opinion of their buffalo chicken sandwich. His response was that it was the most popular thing on the menu. He also said that they are known for their BLTs but 9 strips of bacon on a sandwich didn’t sound like it would lead to a productive afternoon. I chose the buffalo chicken sandwich and had them sub a small Caesar salad for the fries. The salad arrived just before the sandwich and was pretty good. Their Caesar dressing is thick and creamy with a really big flavor. The salad would have been fine with about 2⁄3 as much but it was really good. I also liked the thick shaved pieces of Parmesan. Add some croutons and it made a great warm-up for the sandwich. Their buffalo sauce had a little bit of spice to it but nothing near a medium level of heat. The bacon was crispy and had a nice smokiness to it. Good roll also. The only downside was that the chicken was a little bit overdone and a little dry as a result. There was cheese also but it almost got lost due to the bolder flavors of the buffalo sauce and the bacon. My sandwich came with bleu cheese dressing on the side. I’m pretty sure it was house-made because it was one of the chunkiest versions of this I’ve been served in quite a long time. My dining partner had a burger and seemed to really enjoy it and the steak fries he had as a side dish. Next time around I will probably try the same. The BLT is tempting but I’m not a huge BLT fan.

The service at this restaurant was horrible, the food was terrible and to top it all off, all of the employees were drinking. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. They can’t even afford to light their parking lot. Don’t plan on coming back

The tap cakes, like crab cakes but with lobster, salmon and crab, are wonderful! Chicken quesadilla was very good. But the service was slow. And they weren’t busy. I would come back but hope for more attentive servers.

My sister wanted to go to Brunch and I suggested this place as my boyfriend and I had a Groupon and she said«No way, I will never go back there.» she had been there twice and said the food and service was absolutely terrible. Ok. Off to a good start… so it was just me and my boyfriend for brunch. We pulled up and walked in. I don’t know if this place turns into party central late nights on the weekend or what, but outside in the landscaping we saw a beer bottle, a beer can, a whole HUGE pile of dumped cigarette ashes, rusted strewn about landscaping tools, two empty wine bottles, and the decorative planter/cigarette dumping ground was half filled with sand and water and littered with floating cigarette butts and empty cigarette cartons. Didn’t really give a good first impression and I got more worried. Luckily we walked in and the place looked clean. The table we sat at was clean. We were the first ones in the restaurant so our service was prompt. Our groupon included bottomless mimosas, but the mimosas were weak and mostly orange juice, so I just had one. That was a bummer, but I guess you can’t expect too much with bottomless mimosas. Brunch is a buffet, but it’s not like a sprawling spread to choose from, and it is only breakfast items. The lady, girl, and the guy working the stations were all friendly. While the food selection was limited, what my boyfriend and I put on our plates was good. We ordered a waffle from the station and the young girl working over there brought it over. It was good, too. No complaints. The gravy for the biscuits wasn’t the best, but at least it wasn’t too salty like most places. The chocolate cake I had for dessert was tasty. I’d be tempted to come back and try other items on the menu and see how that goes. Overall, it wasn’t bad. Not amazing or anything, but I did not have a horrible experience. I have another groupon to use by the end of September. Maybe I can smuggle in my own champange for mimosas next time. Teehee… Just a note to staff/management: Please clean up the exterior of the building! From what I saw outside I’d expect to be walking into a total dive.

So my GF and I waited a whole year to try this place once again from when it first opened some time ago. The first time we came it was absolutely horrible. Poor food, service and prices. This time around they added better food and it actually look decent. It was a good night with good food. Low key but yet the bartender on duty was a little lacking. We would ask her for something and she would forget and then we would have to ask again. Didn’t offer to bring us water until we asked.(Tei jai) or something was her name. She seemed busy with talking with co workers and complaining about being hungry. Overall the experience this time around was way better than when they first opened. More food choices. Just keep making sure the service gets better would be my recommendation Get more tap tables! Seriously this is in your name and you only have 2 tables?!

We like the atmosphere at The Tap. We went to lunch yesterday and all you can eat brunch today. Brunch is served from 10 – 2. My mom said«the brisket is delicious.» My daughter loves the fresh fruit and the lemon cake with ooey gooey butter cake in the middle.“ My husband loves the biscuits and gravy. My oldest son loves the cheesy potatoes and the signature cookies and cream cake bites. My youngest son loves the bacon.

The place was interesting concept. They offer a late night menu; 10 – 11. The potato skins are good! They have an honor system on the draft beer which is good. The thing that bothered me the most is the workers; in uniforms sitting at the bar drinking. Most restaurants have rules like they can’t sit at the bar or they have to take their work shirt off. Servers and cooks. They have«strreet» spelled wrong on their receipt. I’m surprised they hadn’t been fixed yet.

Come for the beer but not the food. Service was nice except the waitress was under age and could not answer all the questions.

Went for Mothers Day and couldn’t order off the menu — just breakfast buffet and it was just okay. The omelet station and waffle station was backed up and we waited 30 minutes for the rest of our food. Nice staff that was quite busy and handled the delays with grace. I can’t go more than 3 stars based on the experience I had that day but I would go back again to try the rest if I were gone in town.

We have been here a few times now and will keep returning. The only negative I can think of is that many of the bar stools are REALLYWOBBLY and need replaced. When you mention this to the staff they say they tell the owner all the time but he still refuses to repair/replace them. Hopefully he will read this and get that fixed ASAP. The Loaded Potato Cakes are a must have appetizer, we get them every time. So delicious and very filling. We have tried a variety of sandwiches, burgers, entrees, and pizzas at The Tap and they all are good. The burgers you can get as a hamburger or chicken filet which is nice. In the bar area they have a few tables with taps at the table to serve yourself — my husband likes this feature. At the actual bar they have an ice rail to keep your drinks cold as well.

This is the place I stop every time I’m in town on business. Great beer selection and menu never disappoints. Ask for Beth(best server I’ve ever had).

Went with a group of people and everyone had the same opinion… Good place to get a few apps and drinks for happy hour, but anything beyond the apps just wasnt impressive. Their«house» beer was awful. It tasted like u were eating a can. Other food tried: Ravioli– only get 3 but rather large and tasty Lobster rangoon– yummy and tasted fresh. Good amount of filling Spinach artichoke dip– just ok. LARGE chunks of artichoke threw off the texture but overall flavor was decent. Fish and chips– BLAND. Very crunchy exterior(tasted like Andy’s fish seasoning) but lacked flavor. French onion soup-YUCK! Tasted like it had sat atound awhile. Fried cod– better than the fish and chips but still Bland. Chicken wrap– tasty with good amount of meat Griddle burger– SMALL. Sad excuse for a burger and had no taste. BLT– AMAZING. IF i ate another entrée here, this is what I would get. Pizza– SOGGY. Thin St. Louis style, but crust was very doughy and soggy. House made chips– decent Fries– soggy and no salt Definitely wont come back. Poor food and waiters seemed like they really didnt care about their job and didnt have anything good to recomend besides the BLT.

This place is okay for food. I got the French onion soup(pretty much broth). I also got the pepperoni pizza and it wasn’t what I was expecting; weird sauce and too much cheese(mozzarella). My mother ordered the ribeye, they first brought her a sirloin, when they came back with the supposed right order being the ribeye, they gave her pork. Pretty awesome. They were busy, but that’s not really an excuse. They do however, have a great beer selection.

My wife and I recently visited this new location to St. Charles. It’s close to home, which makes it an instant check out. We went on a slower day, mid afternoon. We were one of three couple there. Overall the place was cleverly decorated and clean. We ordered our food. The menu is also cleverly written with many references to «Tap». I liked the menu. I had the buffalo sandwich, it was truly delicious. It ranked top 5 of all buffalo sandwich time, and if you know my eating habits, I really like buffalo sandwiches. My wife had a fish dish, which she really like as well. Overall, the quality of the food, the friendliness of the staff, and the location are all winners in our book. Only time will tell how this locations fares, as many other restaurants have not fared so well, but I wish them well. We need a nice little place like this near New Town.

Having recently moved into the area, I wanted to try this place. Since the first time going, I’m a return-customer. I’ve never had a bad experience at the TAP. I’m usually seated almost immediately — there’s never really a wait. So far, I’ve gotten great service and the food has come out rather quickly. I’d highly recommend the toasted ravioli, or their pizzas. The beer list is great, but it’d be cool if they could add more to the draft list or at least swap some of the featured draft beers out. Either way, I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a good beer and good food in the St. Charles area. Not perfect, but a solid establishment.

Arriving there we were seated right away… then sat for 15 minutes… the hostess came up and asked if we were helped yet… No… then about 5 minutes later the person bussing the tables asked if we were helped yet… Still No… then maybe 5 more minutes later someone came up and said…“Im sorry, I’m a little busy, Ill be right with you” did he? NO… THEN maybe a few minutes later someone ELSE came up and asked if we were helped… once again, NO… HE then stayed there, took our order and got our drinks … The food was JUSTOK… I ordered the French Dip… meat was tough and fatty… the Au Jus was greenish-grey in color… Not even sure WHAT it was… it came with chips which were mostly soggy and not cooked enough… real mushy and soft… YUK! It ALL had to be seasoned with something… Salt and Pepper to the rescue… Hubby ordered the Smoked Pork Steak… he said it was just OK… the knife wouldn’t cut through the pork ATALL… it was like he was using the Other side of a Butter knife…(even worse, right) I could see him fighting with it trying to cut off each piece… I gave him my knife but had the same results… He said the«cranberry compote» was very interesting… not a fan of it… We’ll probably not go back again…

So I’ve always been the type of person who thinks beer is totally gross. Well I was wrong! Sometimes you have to step outside of the norm and experiment. I tried a fruit beer/cider called angry orchard and I’m in llloooovveee! It’s crazy I had to come all the way to Missouri to try it out. I wasn’t a big fan of any of the appetizer but hey I found a beer I can drink. So it’s a win win. Garlic Bread was ok Toasted Ravioli pretty big and bland Lobster Rangoon– this has a pretty good taste but to spicy for me.
