As far as pawn shops go, Pawn America is among the best. I’m always amazed at the selection that you find in this store, from musical instruments and construction equipment, to electronics, computer games and gaming equipment, clothing, movies, and much more.
The store is clean, and usually there are a variety of staff people on hand to help you find what you’re looking for.
One complaint I have is that they need to go through their movies. It’s pretty common to find about 60 copies of The Matrix or The Ring or other films. They could thin out the repeats and organize the selection a lot better. If you have a specific film you’re looking for, especially a children’s movie, it’s like hunting for a needle in a haystack. Using barcode readers they could easily keep inventory that customers could access to find whatever they’re looking for. I’m just sayin’…

Pawn America is decent for a pawn shop. It has a large variety of items and feels clean. I like that it is brightly lite and the staff are friendly. If they see someone standing by a display case, they ask if you want to see anything. It is nice that they find you not you having to hunt a staff person down. The staff do not seem pushy or insulting. The clothing selection is nice too. I found a pair of shoes that were brand new for s great deal. All in all, an ok place to shop or sell something.
