I heard that Junkyard Dogs was recently opened so I decided to give it a shot. I like hot dogs from time to time, I feel like I’m a decent judge on whats good and not. This place was honestly pretty good. When you first walk in you’ll notice the floor. You can take markers and draw/sign your name on the floor. I thought this was fun! Second I saw the simple menu written on a chalkboard. Placement of the menu was horrible. The guy behind the counter was completely covered. I stood there wanting to order and I had no clue there were even employees in the building… Until he walked to the register a full minute after I walked in(he was busy filling the order of another customer). They should hang the menu from the ceiling if you ask me. I ordered the regular hot dog and I paid a dollar fifty total. It tasted great, I will be back. I have to admit however I was disappointed they didn’t have many options to dress the dog with. Ive been to street vendors in Chicago that had more options. Ive been to restaurants in Argentina that had so many options that I couldn’t even count to the total number with out getting confused. The different options to top you dog could be counted on one hand. Bottom Line: Was it good? Yes Will I be back? Yes Do the need to keep expanding their options? Without a doubt!
