Well, I should have said something when the waiter brought my pasta with pesto sauce. The pasta was swimming in probably ½ cup water! I was really hungry and since the service sucked I didn’t feel like waiting for another entrée! I did mention the water issue to the cashier and he gave me some BS about the pasta being«steamed» and the cooks didn’t want to burn the pesto! WTH? Won’t be going back!

I built my own pasta and it was delicious, spinach linguine, pesto and mushrooms. Customer service was great and efficient.

Not impressed. I have experience in the restaurant industry so I’m always willing to give a place the benefit of the doubt. I really tried. Service was awful, I ended up having to fill our own drinks at the stations and grabbed our own utensils out of the bins. We never got breadsticks, they were out of multiple items so they had to come out several times to ask us what we want to sub. It appeared as if they were understaffed, our server was taking care of every take I could see as well as pitching in in the kitchen, so kudos to him for doing the best he could. The food was very underwhelming. I assumed this place would have a much higher quality of product based on the name. Our meals all tasted as if we could have bought them out of the freezer section at the grocery store and microwaved them at home. Extremely overpriced for the quality of food. I want to like the place, and as I said they perhaps are having an off night, but not a fun experience for our family for our last meal together on vacation.

Delicious! Loved the garlic parmesan breadsticks. Had the make your own pasta dish with angel hair, pesto and veggies. The pasta was cooked perfect. The pesto was fresh and tasty and the broccoli, carrots and cauliflower were fresh and crunchy. Overall great meal. The only drawback is they don’t serve alcohol. But, it is in St. George after all!

Seating is limited inside but there is an outside patio. I was passing through this city and someone at my hotel recommended it. It is not a chain; small family run business. They make the pasta fresh daily. I had the make your own creation pasta and had tortellini with Alfredo sauce. It was delicious! The Alfredo sauce was cheesy and creamy as I like it and the tortellini tasted homemade. The ½ portion was smaller than I thought it’d be. Prices were very reasonable.

I am not a pasta fan but the Primavera pie had me drooling! I couldn’t stop eating it was so delicious! My serving was so big I could have easily split it with someone! My mouth is watering just thinking about it! I’ll definitely be back to indulge in another before my next big race!

Ate here for dinner while passing through on way home to California. Our server was great and the diet pomegranate lemonade is not to be missed. But, the food is not impressive. Yes, the breadsticks are very good and the menu selection looks impressive(build your own pasta dish is a wonderful idea) but I seriously question if this restaurant has a real chef. The pasta does not appear to be made in house, and the sauce flavoring is either bland or loaded with pepper. The alfredo is too heavy, the meat sauce has too much oregano and it is painfully obvious that the served meats(meatballs, chicken, shrimp) are frozen packages from probably Costco or a similar vendor. This restaurant needs someone in the kitchen who actually can cook and not just heat up food from a package or can.

The Pros: clean, friendly server, excellent bread sticks, reasonably priced and the build your own pasta is an great premise. The diet pomegranate lemonade and raspberry lemonades were both excellent. The Cons: the bruschetta was not toasted but more like warmed bread, the pesto sauce while flavorful was heavy and creamy. I’m a SoCal girl and I’m used to fresh not sun dried tomatoes. My son and I both ordered pasta with Alfredo sauce his with chicken mine with shrimp and sautéed vegetables, the chicken was rubbery and the sauce too creamy and fatty, it actually began to separate in the bowl so I could see how much fat was in it. The shrimp was previously frozen not that that’s bad, but some of them had not been cleaned properly and still had the digestive track still visible. The hubby ordered spaghetti with meatballs and meat sauce, the meatballs were store bought. If you’re just looking for food, then this place is fine. If you are looking for something not quite so heavy then try Olive Garden.

I don’t get the 1-star reviews of this restaurant at all. The build-your-own pasta lets you order very custom pasta combinations. My favorite is angel hair with marinera, artichoke hearts and grilled chicken. It’s an awesome combination! Add their fresh grated parmesan and this is some of the best pasta I’ve ever had. Lunch specials are particularly good adding salad, drink and bread sticks for about 7 bucks. The food is always fresh and the service is good to great. I’ve had to wait a while a few times but generally it’s very attentive, and the wait staff is always great too.

This review is mostly for the fettuccine alfredo and the bread sticks, which are amazing. The service is about average usually. The food seems to be a good quality, but overall is an American interpretation of what Italian food is. The fettuccine alfredo is the exception. It is very delicious, so if you like that, go here and eat it up. You won’t find any better out there. For really good Italian food, go to Las Vegas to Sirio at Aria or Carnevino at The Palazzo. The atmosphere here is cramped and loud inside or hot and sweaty outside. Take your pick. On a positive note, they serve Coke. So give them a try for that.

My wife and I were recently in the St George area for a vacation. We went to the Pasta Factory for dinner on a Saturday they where not terribly busy. We were less than impressed. Thier main indoor dining area is small and incredible crowded so that servers and clientele alike have a difficult time navigating the dining area. The food was medicore nothing that would make me want to return there. The breadsticks where good. Our server was less than impressive. As we where seated and it took about 10 minutes before anyone came to our table to take our beverage order. During our dining expierience we witnessed an couple of older women whom practically had to beg thier server for drink refills, and then took thier credit card and check and waited over 20 minutes before returning it. Overall mediocre food, service leave much to be desired. Would not likely return.

We always love going to the pasta factory whenever we are in St George. Make sure to go during the lunch special(I think 11 – 3). You get breadsticks, a salad, half a plate of pasta, and a drink for a good price. Order extra Alfredo sauce to dip your breadsticks in. Mmmmmm.

The food here is uninspiring. It tasted like something you could get from the sample tables at Costco – not terrible, just not fresh and flavorful. We won’t be going back anytime soon.

I’ve been eating here for years. The service is great 9 times out of 10. I don’t usually leave reviews but 2 things prompted me to this time. The food quality is just not what it used to be. The chicken breast they put on your pasta is more like chicken scraps. The dishware has also been dirty the last 3 times I’ve eaten there which is a big turn off. Expect great service and decent food on dirty dishes.

We went to The Pasta Factory with some friends tonight. Four adults and five kids and the bill came to just under $ 100 before tip. I guess that isn’t too bad but… The food was mediocre at best. We all built our own pasta bowl, which means we picked the pasta, sauce and and additional item(s). I had penne pasta, meat sauce and Italian sausage. The penne was decent, the meat sauce was better than average and the meatballs tasted like the frozen kind you get from the grocery store. The waiter was pleasant, but nothing special. The weird thing is they are in the same building and The Pizza Factory, but you can’t get pizza at the pasta place and you can’t get pasta at the pizza place! Seriously, just combine the two and make one restaurant. Oh, and try making your meatballs from scratch, don’t buy them at Costco!

I have eaten at the Pasta Factory two times in the past month. I like the build your own pasta option, and the option to get a full or half portion. The white wine sauce is forgettable but the classic pesto and marinara were very good. They offer veggie noodles which made it nice for the gluten free members of our party. The szechuan chicken added a lot of flavor to the veggie noodle. The breadsticks are always warm and yummy.

I am not sure if you can call this Italian food. Service was good. The waitress was accommodating and polite. The food was not. The angel hair was stuck together and the sauce had no flavor. The meatballs appeared to come from a frozen bag and reheated. I would not go back again.

I am giving The Pasta Factory three stars because I went in with a large party on a very busy evening, and the service was great. If I was basing this review on food alone, this would be a 2 star review. I was visiting St. George for the Ironman, and my companions wanted to load up on carbs before their big race the next day. They were clearly not the only racers with that idea, as Pasta Factory was PACKED. The hostesses did a good job of trying to limit our wait time, and our waiter was great. The food was very lackluster with the exception of the delicious breadsticks. I had the angel hair with pesto, and I added a dinner salad. My pasta was fine, nothing exceptional but ok… The dinner salad was beyond boring. My husband had the linguine with meat sauce, and had meatballs added. He ate half of one meatball and pushed the others aside. They looked like the meatballs you purchase in the frozen section of the grocery store… As I scanned our table, only one of the dozen or so people I was with finished their meal. Many left large amounts of food on their plate. The overall consensus from our group was that while the food was fairly priced and the portions generous, the taste was lacking. I do not see myself returning to The Pasta Factory in the future.

Like other reviewers have stated, its OK. The excellent service and friendly waitstaff set it apart from other places. Same owners of the Pizza Factory next door. Note: Don’t attempt to eat the bread sticks by yourself! Find a friend or two as those big, twisty things are huge! And tasty. I mean really huge and delicious. The pasta offerings? Eh, so-so. But priced very reasonably. And the crowds of happy diners should tell you everything you need to know. Good for families and groups. No alcohol on the menu.
