The menu is easy to select from. Good food. Friendly people. A good lunch experience on a busy weekend.

Loved this spot. Delicious food! The Machha Ra Bhanta(salmon and eggplant curry) was so good! I the salmon was cooked really well, tender and not dry. It was a good match with the texture of the eggplant. Such a good lunch. I really needed it too. Went on a wine tour on an empty stomach and wasn’t feeling it. But I got some of this curry in me and was good as new. Would absolutely come back again if we get the chance.

We’ve been to almost every restaurant in the Calistoga, St. Helena & Napa/Yountville area and would say with confidence this is our favorite. Every item we’ve tried on the menu has been absolutely excellent. They are very vegetarian friendly also, and it’s superb, just as good if not better than the meat options, which are also amazing. The service is always fast and very attentive. It’s wonderful to see such hard working employees also, it makes us really happy and eager to support their business knowing how much work & love the owners have put into this place. The prices are also so reasonable for the amount of food and flavor you get. My wife also forgot her credit card after we payed, and the waiter ran out of the restaurant after us to return it safely, so that honesty scored a lot of points with us also. If you’re in the area, definitely be sure to come by this gem. Our favorites are the vegetable tandoori & vegetable tikki masala subbed with their garlic basil naan as the side.

Took a quick stop here following a Wine Tasting at Rombauer. My wife had the Lamb Masala and my Mom had the Chicken Masala. I had the Tikka Chicken. All the plates were expertly prepared. I recommend Medium for spice and it won’t be overpowering. If you would like additional spice they will bring you a small cup. We chose to sit outside which allows you to people watch and enjoy the weather. Pricing is more than fair. These are legit Nepalese people who run the Restuarant. They are absolutely wonderful, very friendly and super efficient. You cannot go wrong. This will be a «Go To» establishment for future St. Helena visits.

We had two chicken items and the lamb tikka, one large beer, out bill was $ 73. The flying horse beer expired 3 months, tasted terrible. The food was ok and service was ok. Since it was bottle rock weekend the town was dead which was nice for once so we sat outside and enjoyed the evening, wish the food was cheaper and they served fresh beer.

As new residents of Calistoga, we’ve been dining out alot and this place is one of our mutually agreed favorites. We’re here right now, our third visit and they kundly brought water for our dog without us even having to ask. So, the food… The tikka masala is the best I’ve ever tasted. Salmon tandoori fantastic charred perfection. Mango chutney delicious. Momas and samosos both excellent savory dishes. Will be back again and again.

Love eating here! My fiancée and I have been eating here for the last year. The staff is super friendly. Shova is the best! She has honestly become a friend. Food is always great. They know our order. Love the naan. I would recommend eating here if you are spending the day in Wine Country.

Amazing food and hospitality! We tried the momos(dumplings), lamb, chicken and Alu Bhanta and then the kheer and kulfi in desert. Everything tastes fresh and delicious, must try in Napa if you’re craving Indian or Nepali food.

Sherpas eat well if this is the measure. I’m so grateful that St. Helena has this little gem. The Flying Horse lager compliments the medium spicy flavors I love. Two of us had daal soup. This time it was brown lentils with greens. It was flavorful and served with a crisp cracker. We ordered lamb tikka and chicken eggplant curry, both come with either buttered naan or rice, but the meats in the dishes were switched. Lamb in the yellow curry just seemed wrong and free range chicken in the tikka, just wrong too. We did not complain, and leftovers were tasty. Now and then when I come in, there is hardly any meat in the dishes and all sauce. This time the portions were more appropriate. The flavors are fabulous, and medium spice is devine.

It’s been a tradition in our family for the past 3 years to head up to wine country for the new year. We were very happy to stumble upon this little gem in downtown St. Helena. After days of sampling all sorts of French and Italian dishes, this was a welcome change! We ordered the Rack of Lamb, chicken Tikka and Indian pickles, included were the garlic Naan and basmati rice. The lamb was juicy and the chicken was quite flavorful. I ordered extra rice so I could polish off the extra sauce! Everything was very reasonably priced most dishes were $ 10– $ 20. I can’t wait to make this place one of my regular stops in St. Helena!

First time here and the food was amazing. The group I was with got tikka masala dish and curry dish. Both came to our table very fast and the waitress was very nice. I drove two hours to try this place and it was well worth it

Loved everything we ordered. Veg Momos, palak Curry, veggie Curry, garlic noon, chai, free rice. Must visit if around napa area. The guy who took our order was a little wierd when it came to ordering. I asked if you have any vegetarian suggestions(since it was a Nepalese restaurant), he said well I would recommend something non-veg but it wouldn’t help ! Lol. But he did warn us the Momos will take time and was courteous and the food was Great !! So giving 5 stars..

We were just looking for quick and light lunch as it was late and our dinner reservation is early. After doing all the wine tours, I was craving for something flavorful and this place satisfied my craving. The tandoori lamb racks were excellent! Tender and juicy with the tandoori spices perfuming every bite.

Decided to stop in for lunch on our way up wine country. Never had Nepalese food so why not. Reading the Unilocal reviews it looked promising and I was prepared for the slightly higher price points. I didn’t realize I would be paying $ 10 for a plain, no frills, strawberry salad. We ordered the veggie dumplings and curry. The curry was good and flavorful. For medium spicy we were thinking we would get something with a little more heat but it was just a tingle. The dumplings were a little bland even with the tomato sauce. I ended up dousing it in the sauce. Overall it was a decent meal but not exceptionally memorable. The chai was a nice warm up from the cold and the rain, but it was lacking the spice notes that I enjoy when drinking chai. Their spice notes were mild. Staff is friendly so that is a plus. Worth another stop… maybe just for the curry, but that would be a fairly high priced curry that wouldn’t fill up 2 hungry folks

We found out the hard way that most stores and restaurants in downtown St Helena close around 5 – 6, basically the town shuts down except a few restaurants, and this is one of them. I got the Chicken Masala with Naan bread and it wad great. I chose the spicy version and it was HOT! Needed some yogurt sauce to cool it off(if you like spicy — do that, if not it will be too much for you). Food was great but we had a service hiccup done by a new server, she was only 2 days there so it’s understandable and hopefully it won’t happen again, but they made up for that just fine.

My husband and I eat out frequently(3 + times a week) and living in northern CA, we’ve grown spoiled. This cultural specific restaurant in Napa Valley’s St Helena was a delightful surprise in food and hospitality. We eat Mediterranean, Indian, middle eastern and Asian food, frequently. Quality of both food and service here were outstanding and no St Helena lines! We’ll be back!

This is near Napa. Good Indian food after the wine tour. The food is good BUT the portions are really very very small for the price. The staff and the hosts are very nice. We had ordered a spinach dumplings, chicken curry, paneer curry and nans. The nan and chicken was good. The dumpling was pretty new to us and was good. I would have given it four stars but one star less because of the portions.

This is my first time here and I can’t eat the food because I need my cholesterol checked but am living vicariously through some friends. The food looked to good not to create a post. We ordered the lamb and chicken dumplings, chicken eggplant curry and garlic naan with rice. As I sit here suffering smelling the food here is what I can tell you. The naan looks good and I can smell the fresh garlic permeating the air in front of me… almost mocking me. The Chicken Eggplant Curry looks delicious and the others enjoyed it. The Dumplings look like little pouches of yumminess that know I can’t partake. And they are nestled around a sweet orange pepper dipping sauce for added flavor. The restaurant is clean, staff courteous and attentive. The price seems reasonable given the location and quality of food. Looking forward to coming back here to get my eat on in the future.
