Be wary of any orders you want to have shipped! The winery itself was fine. It’s the lack of customer service on the back end that has resulted in this post. I ordered six bottles of wine on 12⁄3 and still haven’t received them. When a call was placed 12⁄16(2 weeks later) I was told they broke in transit. They wouldn’t provide me with an initial tracking number to indicate that it was shipped soon after I ordered it, nor to corroborate their story of the packages being broken.(typically indicated by FedEx or UPS). They couldn’t explain why it took 2 weeks for them to find out the bottles broke in transit, essentially blaming the courier. It’s somewhat hard for me to take their word for it when they offer no proof(just their word). Now they state my replacement package will not be shipped until Monday 12⁄21. So much for«expediting» my package. I paid for the shipping charges — If the courier broke the package I should get a refund on my shipping charges as well(surprise surprise — not even mentioned by them).

Brutal. No info on anything about the wine or how it was made. Terrible tasting experience overall. Go to Silver Oak or Flora. It was bad.

This group does an amazing job with wine. Everything is good, even down to the merlot. Fun, light atmosphere.

This was our last stop on our Trolley tour. I’ll say this was the best out of all the three wineries we visited. Jady was our very-knowledgeable server. I truly enjoyed his services, because he knew the location and the wines very well. I could also tell that he truly enjoys what he does. I absolutely recommend Provenance Vineyard for people who enjoys a great time with great wine.

Really enjoyed our tasting here, the staff was professional, knowledgeable and went out of their way to make our large group feel welcome. And corn hole on the patio was a fun way to end the day.

Another incredible experience in Rutherford. We loved Provenance Rutherford Cabs walking the door, but after tasting their Beckstoffer To Kalon Cab, and their Howell Mountain Cab(«If it says Howell, buy it»), we had to join their wine club. A small, unpretentious tasting room, but enthusiastic and insightful guidance from Jady(«O Canada») made our visit exceptional. Highly recommend Provenance for the best of Rutherford Cabs and loved meeting Jady on our anniversary trip in August 2015.

This is probably my least favorite vineyard we visited in my four day trip to Napa. Maybe because it was the last stop of a trolley tour we had done all day, but I just didn’t care for it much at all. The woman working the counter was pretty rude. It looked like they were already busy and then when our tour group came in(which was only 7 people) she just got really overwhelmed. She couldn’t have been more obvious about how she felt about our group — that we were an inconvenience and she wished we weren’t there. My parents and I decided to order a glass of wine each instead of a tasting. When my dad tried to order a glass for my mom, the woman said, «That’s ALL you’re going to order!?» And my dad explained that we would order for me and him as well. We felt so unwelcome that as soon as we got our wine we went out on the patio to drink it. The wine was ok — nothing to write home about. I liked how the patio had couches and plenty of seating. But the winery itself was just so BLAH. Seriously other than the rude woman who worked there, the only other thing I could remember about it was playing corn hole with my dad. This was the only winery I took zero photos of because there was honestly nothing interesting to want to capture and remember. If you’re going to have a boring looking winery then at least have friendly staff or good tasting wine … But unfortunately they had neither …

Amazing wine, amazing service, amazing atmosphere! Did a flight of wine — split with the husband — and each had a glass of wine on the patio. Wonderful service, Jady took such great care of us! Everyone was so thoughtful and not only took care of us, but took care of our puppy. Thank you Provenance!!!

Valentina was very sweet! Cabs were good! I also enjoyed their Malbec rose! The people that were working were affable and let you taste pretty much whatever you want. The Hewitt Cabernet was very good! Not one of the prettier buildings/grounds but it’s all about the wine!

A group of my friends and I visited as the guests of a club member and we were treated like royalty. Our instructor was extremely knowledgeable and made our experience was so special. We were able to tour the vineyard while he explained the entire process of how they made the wine. And of course, the wines were phenomenal. Kind staff and great wine, what more could you ask for?

We stopped in here randomly while on our honeymoon trip and it was an amazing experience. Jeff made sure we were taken care of and also recommended a great place for lunch. In addition, we were able to meet and chat with Tom Rinaldi! Overall, fabulous experience and I would highly recommend going to check this place out year round!

Very nice experience! Our wine presenter Jeff C. was warm, knowledgeable and attentive. He presented the wines well and enhanced our experience very much. We enjoyed the reserve cab flight as well as the red blend list. We’ve had Provenance wine before and also love their Hewitt line. We’ll be back!

Our experience at Provenance Vineyards was one of the most memorable we had in Napa Valley, all thanks to Debbie Ortenzi our wine educator. Her passion and enthusiasm combined with the great wines left a lasting impression that made us love Provenance wines even more.

Our final stop of our wine tasting was another Cabernet tasting at Provenance Vineyards. Since we arrived late in the afternoon, the tasting room, which consists of a U-shaped tasting counter, was not busy. After getting our first pour from the Reserve Tasting Menu, our server said we could stay in tasting room or sit in the patio and he would come out and continue with the subsequent pours. The new patio furniture was very nice and comfortable and it made it nice sitting outside enjoying our tastings. The four tastings of 2009 – 2012 were delicious, though the 2012 tasted a little young. We ended getting bottles of the 2009 – 2011. We had a nice experience at Provenance and were impressed with the generous pours. Also with our purchase, the cost of our tastings was waived. We’ll be back in future visits to the Wine Country.

we had a group of 25 and they took us outside under a tree located next to the vines with tables and a sommelier. Perfect setting, amazing education and good wine. They even printed us food menus and called our order in for to the food stop on the tour. great service, great people.

We weren’t happy with this visit. Which was disappointing since the wines are really good. Our visit was due to poor customer service. Our party of 8 had reservations for a tasting and when we arrived, we were greeted and each given a taste of a vino. They showed us to a picnic table setting so that we could all be seated and enjoy the visit. Shortly after being seated we were greeted by another employee and that’s where the disappointment began. I really wished I could remember his name but he looked as if he just crawled out of bed. He was wearing jeans that had a fairly large hole in them at the top of his leg. You couldn’t miss it! He didn’t say much just asked what questions we had. The first question we asked was how many acres did the winery own. He quickly replied, I don’t know. Sad. He provided no history, no future plans for the winery and no up selling was done by this employee of the month, not! What a let down ~ come on HR! Who’s hiring these misplaced folks?

The first review I wrote was a little on the hasty side, so I have decided to write a more professional review based on my recent experience at Provenance. I was with a group of 8 people, half from California and half from Seattle. We had been touring the Valley all Sunday, and Provenance was our last stop. Upon walking into Provenance, the man behind the bar(Mike) failed to notice, or acknowledge us. When he finally greeted us, it was in an unwelcoming way. It was as if we were putting him out by being there. The way we were treated, could be expected at a fast food chain ran by teenagers, not an upscale winery in Napa Valley. He asked us how many were sampling and went to get glasses. After the first pour, he walked away. I guess it’s more important to wash dishes than to EDUCATE your guests on the wines. We continued to get this treatment, not once did he try to talk about the wines. Simply poured, and walked away. I’ll tell you, this group I was with shells out a lot of money in the Napa Valley. Being members of several wineries, they commit to spending a good amount of money throughout the year. This experience, caused my friend to rescind her membership at Provenance. After all, there are a multitude of other wineries in the area, who would bend over backwards for a member! I could not believe the way we were treated by the«General Manager». He made it quite clear that he did not«normally work the weekends» and didn’t want to be there… which we heard him say to other guests. You would think in this industry, you would want the cream of the crop representing your business. I get better service at 7 – 11. Mike needs a new career. His customer service skills are amongst the worst I’ve experienced, and overall he lacks the passion!

We were introduced to Prvenance via my fiancé’s boss who is a wine club member. The breakdown of my rating is as follows: Wine: 5 stars Price: 3 stars Tasting price: 3 stars Ambience: 3 stars(very corporate) Overall, I would rather enjoy this wine at home than go to the tasting room.
