This was our first time here and the food is really good. The chicken and beef dishes were served right out of the oven and were delicious. We will be coming back for sure. The waitstaff was friendly and seated us immediately.

the food was decent. My nephew got chinese food which I had a bite of and it seemed good, but I needed some ingredient information, and im not sure if it was a language block but they had no idea what was in their food. Sushi was decent. The place itself is small and very cold inside.

Mostly good experience. Overall, food tasted good and was fairly priced. Would go again, but wouldn’t go out of my way to do it. There are three menus: the regular menu, the authentic/thai menu, and the sushi menu. Some of the«authentic» menu overlaps with the regular menu. Off the regular menu, I tried the wonton soup and spare ribs. The wonton soup was clear and bland, yet salty. Wontons themselves very average. The spare ribs were probably the winner of the entire night’s meal. Very meaty, not too fatty and VERY flavorful. Some of the best Chinese ribs I’ve had on Long Island. Off the«authentic» menu, I ordered both the pork and beef sandwich buns — basically thai bao. The beef one was a little dry, but both were very tasty, with some heat, peanuts and cilantro. I love bao. They’re larger than your typical bao sandwich, and mostly worth their $ 4.50/per sandwich price. For my main course, I ordered the«Kyoto Pork Tenderloin.» I’m curious to know what makes this dish Japanese style since it was more or less exactly what you’d get if you ordered Peking/Beijing pork at a Cantonese restaurant, i.e., a sweet-and-sour-esque red sauce over fried pork tenderloin. The pieces of pork are very thing and heavily breaded though, so you really don’t get much in the way of actual meat. But still, mostly good. If it were only about food quality/price, this place would get 4 stars, but I have to take a star away for the extras. The restaurant itself is very bare and has minimal ambience. The floor is bare, without any kind of tile or carpet. There are three«paintings» hanging on the walls, which are actually puzzles of Chinese scenery. The tables with chairs are a little on the small side, whereas the longer tables are so close to the booths, that it’s difficult for even an average-sized person to get in and out without pulling off the table cloth. Service was friendly, and while not completely inattentive, was far from ideal. If you wave your hand, someone will quickly come over, but you have to call someone if you want anything. They also were not very familiar with their own menu, at least not the«authentic» menu…

Great food, authentic taste, good prices. Ask for the authentic Chinese menu, not the Americanized menu if you want authentic Chinese food, otherwise they’ll bring you the«normal menu» which is all«typical take out Chinese food». The menu is huge and everything I’ve tried there(sorry, I only had the authentic stuff, never the Americanized ones) is delicious. The staff is a little clueless, but nice. They’re not entirely attentive, I had to call them over many times just for water or spicy mustard. Overall, great place. Normally for staff being this inattentive I’d dock a star, but the food makes up for it. Also, they cook it pretty quickly, which gets it in my tummy even quicker. Protip: Instead of ordering one large dish, order two small dishes to try multiple things.

Only 4 stars because the wait staff is a little clueless about the menu but the food is great here! It is the only place in Suffolk with authentic Chinese dishes and good dim sum on weekends. The 3 treasures over rice platter, fried whole fish, peapod stems, and beef noodle soups are my go to dishes. This place saves me from driving into Flushing or the other 2 decent restaurants in Nassau — Fortune Wheel or The Orient and is definitely a good choice if you can’t deal with«Americanized» Chinese food.

Good appetizer, good egg rolls, good rice and fresh vegetables, but the General Tso’s is on the sour side and beware that the white chunks in the sauce are not water chestnuts but sliced garlic. Staff was nice and attentive but will not order the General Tso again.

Ate here with coworkers and friends last week, and the experience was pretty good. The waiter was kind and attentive and our food came out at a reasonable time. Now on to the food! We ordered five dishes to share: steamed cabbage, chicken, lamb with cumin, pork, and beef– all of which came with a bowl of rice. All of the dishes, especially the pork and chicken, were fantastic, but I wasn’t used to the distinct cumin flavor in the lamb. The servings were a bit smaller than expected but we were all pretty full from the food, so I was happy. I would rate Empire with 3.5÷5 but alas there is no option. A great place to eat with friends!

When I went in and saw everyone in the place dining being Asian I knew I was in for a good treat. Their menu is quite extensive but they haven’t put a dime into the place in decades. The inside looks like an early 1980s diner, but as long as you keep your head down and just look at your food you won’t be disappointed. We’ve had Chinese Japanese as well as Thai dishes here and everything was excellent. As long as atmosphere is not your thing you will be pleasantly surprised at the quality of food.

This is a great asian food restaurant. The menu is very extensive with lots of variety. The soup is always hot and inviting. The food is deliciously prepared and fresh. Nothing has ever been cold or to perfection. This is one of our favorite spots and try to go at least monthly. The food pricing is solid and is a good value. You will not leave hungry nor over stuffed. Just right!

first time here and it was outstanding and awesomeness! I really loved the inside very details. Well now let’s talks about their foods. It was probably the best I had ever ate for awhile. A go to spot for people who missed their hometown food. I really loved their Taiwanese bento box very affordable and fill you up to the point that I couldn’t finished the last bite.

I have known this restaurant for years, it had owner change with quality up and down. We come here almost every week, but not going to be for a while. First Good: 1. Place is comfortable, enough space to sit comfortable, closed room for party of more than 6. 2. Some food are decent: Noodles are my daughter’s fav, she orders them every time and enjoys it. 3. Most waiters are nice and pleasant. 4. not expensive. Now, Bad: 1. Sometimes, the bathroom smell very bad, both men’s and women’s. 2. Most food does not meet the«Chinese food» standard, please do not compare to restaurants in Flushing. This is take out Chinese fast food level. Try not to order fancy food, like lamb chops, lobster etc. You will be disappointed. 3. Recently, We ordered 6 dishes for dinner, 3 of them were really bad: a. toufu skin with beans: smelled like spoiled food, I think they used Na2CO3 to clean it but did not clean it well, it has really bad taste. b. toufu with fish, the tofu was cold, uncooked. C. House special, the toufu was cold in the middle also. I never, ever ask the kitchen to recook the food. If you ever worked in the kitchen, you should understand. If I don’t like the food, I just order something else. I told the waiter to tell the chef there were 3⁄5 dishes not edible when I was leaving, she said, no, that was because of «cold weather», well, it is still summer now. I won’t go back for a while.

Do not expect too much from a small Chinese restaurant at a relatively remote location, and you will be thoroughly amazed by the price-to-quality ratio you get! Several of their dishes taste great — by authentic Chinese standard. Ask them for recommendations. The owner is also courteous. The price is amazing. If I go crabbing nearby again, I will be sure to return to check it out!

I like this place, but a little pricy in my mind. Some of the dishes they provide are very authentic while many of the dishes are also very Americanized. However compared to every other Chinese place around here, this would always be the first place I would recommend someone. There’s too many dishes to go over, as I have ordered or eaten here so many times. I’ll try to go over some of them over time but my all time favorite is the shredded beef with hot pepper with bamboo shoots or onions. These guys have a lunch box for $ 6(no tax, no tip) that delivers to stony brook university at lunch time on weekdays. Very tasty and affordable deal. The basis of my rating is because of the authenticity of their dishes and the affordability of these lunch boxes. Their general menu is not so affordable on a daily basis for a typical student. Lunch boxes include rice, one vegetable and one meat side and usually a side made with eggs(salty, scrambled, tea egg, etc…)

This is very good Chinese food. They offer an authentic menu as well as your typical American Chinese choices. There are sushi and Thai options also. We enjoyed the ho use special soup. It’s in an egg drop base and filled w chicken, pork, shrimp and fresh veggies.,

Very good food and service. Huge menu. Fair prices. Large food portions. I took off a star because the place needs serious updating. A little shabby looking on the outside and Smells dirty when you first walk in. But I would still eat here again. I’m adding photos of the building inside and out. And food photos also.

This place is hands down the best Chinese food place in the area. Great food, good prices and an attentive wait staff. It deserves more than the average on Unilocal so far. This is the most authentic food place in the area and I came all the time when i was at school. The food is delicious and there are so many choices and they have made every dish well. Try the beef noodle soup. It is so good here!

Asian Variety Menu: Chinese, Japanese, Taiwanese, Thai We like to over order, for 2 we order: Chi-A-Mee(Taiwanese Soup) was huge, enough for a whole dinner, lots of meat and noodles Steam Pork Buns: delicious fluffy buns filled with flavorful meat mmmm Shrimp and pork ShuMai: light and delicious Cumin Lamb: spicy, flavorful and melting in my mouth 3 Cup Duck: on the bone, spicy, only a little sweet and melt in your mouth wonderfulness. W/brown and white rice Bill: 39.85 So MUCHFOOD!. .. esp for the price The meats were clearly marinaded well and cooked to perfection. We ate as much as we could and took the rest home. I recommend this for anyone who like authentic style Asian foods. Even though it is a restaurant offering a variety of asian choices the preparation, cuts, and serving style was surprisingly authentic. I would recommend this place and I am def coming back here!… And then we did.. . 8 more times

Asian I am always cautious of restaurants that serve more than one type of regional cuisine so I was a little alarmed when we were looking for Chinese *and* zombie drinks, we decided to try this place. We thought it was a good sign when we first walked in and almost everyone eating there was Asian — that is usually an indicator or good Asian food, so our expectations went up. That was quickly revised when our server came by — young dude and he had no idea what we were talking about when asking for Singapore slings — so he got another girl who also had never heard of such a thing. This is, we thought, a standard zombie drink at Asian places… I guess not. We settled on mai-tai’s as they did know what those were and we ordered up a bunch of apps. The drinks were ass kicking strong — so that was good but to be honest, I would have preferred something a little less strong — we essentially nursed one drink each. The food came out in good order and everything was fine– we inadvertently ordered a little too much fried stuff and it was not too greasy at all — so happy there. The décor is a but run down — apparently the location has been there a long time under different Asian names and it could really use a makeover. Overall a decent place. Food was fine, prices were good, service was off but not unexpected. Parking in front.

They boast a broad range of authentic dishes you won’t find anywhere this far east in Long Island. If this restaurant was in NYC, I’d rank it 3 stars, but since there’s nothing around here for comparison, it merits 4 stars. They also deliver! So raving about their authentic dishes won’t help the majority of Unilocalers who don’t read Chinese — so let me suggest a few off of their traditional Chinese menu: Spicy lovers: Szechuan Beef Stew — call it Water-Stewed Spicy Beef — hot and peppery! You won’t forget it Meat lovers: Pork meat ball — call it Lion-head meatball — juicy meatballs with chinese mushrooms and nappa cabbage Veggies — Spicy — Ma Po Tofu — ask for added minced pork — burns the tongue in a masochistic way Exotic — ask for garlic stir fried baby snow peas — a delicacy Bean-lovers — this one is on the english menu: Dried Sauteed String beans — ask for added minced pork — crispy string beans with tangy pickled radish and the minced pork makes on mean veg dish Japanese menu — treat as you should treat any Chinese restaurant that serves sushi. Thai menu — never tried it That’s it for now — enjoy
