Food was just«ok» and the service was HORRIBLE. we ordered drinks and they didn’t arrive for 30 minutes when we sat at a table next to the bar. Ordered a plate with chicken and mashed potatoes for 16 dollars and the mashed potatoes were extra dry and tasteless. I asked for some honey mustard and I got it 20 minutes into my meal. When we were done eating, we waited forever for our check.

The food was nice fresh and hot, we got there around 11:30 in the morning. Service was cool until 12 – 12:30 noon. It took about 30+ minutes to get our food. Once the lunch time came the servers were too busy to meet everyone’s needs. But overall food was good. Our server did the best she could.

I’m not a fan of this location, I prefer the South County one off Lindbergh. But I was really craving some grilled chicken and potatoes, plus I was already downtown. I first ordered a house salad. It was a complete waste of $$$. Next I ordered the Sizzling Chicken n Cheese entrée. My plate did come to the table sizzling!!! The chicken was cooked perfectly and had a beautiful color to it. There wasnt alot of mashed potatoes, that sucked for me, cause I like sides more. There was 3 chicken. Breasts, so I could only finish 2. I would have preferred more potatoes, less meat. Overall it was a good plate. I’m such a sucker for chain restaurants !!!

Let’s start with the positives. The location is prime. My server was well-mannered and had very gentle eyes. Right from the start, I could tell she was versed in the art of suggestive selling. The Malbec was cheap and hit the spot. The general manager came out and checked to see if I was doing alright. That kind of personal service is rare at a chain restaurant, especially a chain in the heart of the city. However, busy or not(they weren’t), it shouldn’t take more than ten minutes to get a glass of water. I ordered an appetizer(BBQ Chicken Flatbread), and was so underwhelmed I decided against an entrée. The flavor was fine, but there was no texture. It was as if they microwaved the cheese onto it, then let it sit in the window for a while before bringing it to the table. Enough with the negativity. If i were here solely to drink, I’m sure I would have been pleased with my experience. It’s T.G.I.Fridays; what did I expect?

When my family and I arrived we were greeted but after that it was all downhill, what a disgusting place we sat at our table for approximately 20 min with no service and not one person working there asked if we received any service, we proceeded to leave and the same person that greeted us never bothered to ask why we were leaving even though he stood right in front of our table watching us receive no service whatsoever, the manager should be the first to be fired and then the incompetent staff, I will never step foot in this disgusting place they call an establishment and I will spread the word to all and everywhere I go not patronize TGIF. I am giving this place no STARS!!!

We went to have dinner before the baseball game so we were there fairly early. Usually there is a line out the door, but not this time. I’m wondering how much business has been taken from here by Baseball Village. We were seated right away and our drink order was taken. No appetizer tonight. It might be time to lose a little weight. Mike of course ordered the turkey burger. I decided on the French dip. I wonder how many restaurants actually make a turkey burger and how many use the ones that are pulled out of the box. What I liked about ordering was that we did not have to get the French fries with it. Mike chose coleslaw and I chose a tomato mozzarella salad. His burger was good and he said the coleslaw was very good. My tomato mozzarella salad was good and nicely seasoned, but I could have used a few more pieces of mozzarella on it. Now the bad part — I’m not sure how long the roast beef had been sitting around. It was very dark in color and really dried out. I wish I would have remembered to take a picture of it. It made the sandwich just so-so. Actually not even so-so, just so. I don’t think I would order that again.

I’m not a frequenter of TGIF, but it was the Holiday, they were open and I was starving. There was a wait, so I opted to sit at the bar, which was wide open. Settled on the 3 For All w/Garlic Parm wings, Mozzerella Sticks and Potato Skins. The food came out fast and it was hot and fresh. I thought the wings had great flavor, there was a little finger lickin’ that took place. lol

I’m giving this location a 3-star just for my visit today. Previously i have had good experiences at this location. However, today was not the case. I ordered the Chicken Salad sandwich and asked if there were nuts in it. The waitress assured me that there was not. She said they were in a completely different dish. which I never even asked about. So after asking again she said she was positive. I’m highly allergic is the reason I asked. So 1 bite 2 bite… Peacan in the salad! I immediately called her over and told her that there was a nut in the salad. Again she assured me that there weren’t and that there must have been some cross contamination. OMG!!! Who wants to hear that there is cross contamination going on in a restaurant. «Contamination» alone is a word I’m sure most restaurants want to steer away from. She said she’d send the manger over after offering me a different choice«honey». Yes she called me honey! I don’t have a problem with being called honey but not when someone is so-called rectifying an issue. It felt a little condescending. The manager on duty did come to the table and I explained the situation because the waitress simply told him to talk to us. Ugh. so now I have to explain this again. He was clearly disappointed about my experience and informed me that yes there are definitely pecans in the salad and gave me my meal for free. I’m glad the manager had better sense then the waitress on duty. This could have gone very very bad for TGIF if in fact I had eaten one of the nuts after being told there were none. Cross contamination would not have looked good in a lawsuit for the franchise. Now TGIF might want to pay a little more attention to the cleanliness of the restaurant.

Crappy service. Food was terrible. We had 4 people, and they charged us 18% gratuity. When we asked about it, we were initially told they would remove it, then the manager came over and claimed they couldn’t because our ticket was over $ 75. BS. I am okay paying a good tip IF they deserve it. this place and our waitress did not deserve it! Will not go back ever!

Since I went through Grub Hub I will give a two however I think that is being generous! First I ordered the Strawberry hill LUNCH special which on the menu it says«All natural chicken» I get my salad which was more like a side salad and no chicken. There was however there was bleu cheese and a lot at that, which was not supposed to be on the salad. Then I open my Ahi tuna crisp, which the tuna was so cooked it should’ve been used for cat food! I couldn’t even eat it there was a total of 3 of the pieces of the«tuna» and 4 yes 4 tortilla chips not a crisp at all! My boyfriends burger was decent thankfully he split it with me! I will never eat in or order out from here again and will recommend no one eat there unless they enjoy cat food and side salads!

I haven’t been to this Friday’s in a while. My last visit was truly awful. Our waitress was excellent and tried to make up for the bad, overpriced food. I ordered baby back ribs and when my food arrived, was shocked to see something that was almost as small as a deck of cards. Maybe they thought I order baby back rib. I did complain to the corporate headquarters and received a call from the new manager. He apologized and I was issued gift certificates for my next visit. The second visit was no better than the first one. I ordered an appetizer platter to go and when I got home and looked at the food, I laughed. It was pathetic. I think I would have done better to buy frozen T.G.I.F appetizers from the store and heat them up. I really don’t see how anybody who cares about quality or their customers could serve such utter crap.

It’s a Friday’s. Bar service was slow and the beer«selection» uninspired, kinda middle of the road, like a carcass with tire tracks.

We were in town for an event at the Hyatt Regency and needed a quick dinner spot within walking distance to grab a bite in between performances and awards. TGIF looked like a decent spot to hit up and fit the bill, or so we thought. We were a large party of 16(10 adults, 6 children) so we understood that some concessions would have to be made(timeliness, table availability, etc.) We, however, did not think that we would see such appalling levels reaching into ridiculousness. Upon arrival, there were two of us who showed up early to provide the wait staff and hostesses a time to get a table ready and begin the wait(if there was one). The restaurant, on a Saturday evening at ~6:15pm, was nearly empty with some sections even being closed off for inactivity(and thus no wait). Right away they set up a table for us. We were however told that the majority of our party had to be there to be seated. While this normally wouldn’t have been an issue, we were told to sit in the lobby area that was obviously were people came/left and when the doors opened, the sub-freezing temps(28°) didn’t feel very nice to put it politely. At 7:00 pm, when everyone finally showed up, our waitress then took orders and forgot an entire person! 45 minutes later, she comes back and says«I just got your orders in». This was also the first drink refill time. Those that ordered appetizers and drinks did not see them until ~8:00. Around 8:30, she eventually returned for refills and we asked her to start bringing out food items as they were ready(piecemeal for our large party). Half of the orders came out completely cold, obviously having sat some time. 1 – 2 order began to trickle in over the next few minutes as they came up but this was still 1.5 hours later! Eventually 3 orders remained and 1 steak that was severely under-cooked, oozing red when it was supposed to be Medium-Well. By the time the steak was re-cooked, the young lady who ordered it was no longer hungry and gave away the properly cooked meat after already giving away the breaded shrimp that she had ordered grilled with her meal, as well. The last 3 items were a salad(A SALAD) and two burgers. When the burgers came out, they were both wrong. One was incorrectly a double and one had«garden» when it shouldn’t. The salad, last of everything, was supposed to have chicken strips on it. They were barely warm. As this was supposed to be a brand new salad, there is no excuse for cold meat. This is now the 2 hour mark… One order, that did come out in reasonable time, was a steak and grilled shrimp entrée(much like the young lady before). The shrimp also came breaded. The waitress rudely told that person that his item doesn’t come with grilled shrimp to which he begrudgingly said ok as he was too hungry at this point to complain. Later we learned that he had been ordering the same item WITHGRILLEDSHRIMP for over 13 years at other TGIFs. The waitress came back and said a grilled shrimp order would be «dropped» for us. Around the 1:45 hour mark, a replacement shrimp order came that was STILLBREADED. It was returned. Around the 2:25 mark, as we were close to leaving, after the other 3 meals FINALLY made it, the grilled shrimp came out. The salad being the last item was unacceptable. We continued to speak up, hoping to get our friend her food. We were told that it was made hours ago and given to another table. The waitress proceeded to tell us that«these things just happened» and that we needed to be patient as another was being made. This was told to us at least 3 times(that a salad was coming right out). Finally, our checks were being printed up as we needed to get back for the awards ceremony. We were told by one of the servers(not ours) that the manager was taking care of things and appropriately compensating us for our troubles — this being after we had called over the manager once who only said he «would find out who our waiter was». After the ridiculously rude service we received, we were rightfully upset and expected to see some sort of acknowledgement on our checks for the terrible, terrible service. Absolutely nothing had been changed, no compensation offered, and no apology present. At this point we were becoming very upset especially after speaking with the manager already. Again we requested to see a manager. When he came over, he had no concern for our issues and pretended as if this was the first time we were bringing any issues to him. Rather than offer ANY apology, he asked us what we wanted in terms of atonement for the service that night. All we wanted was the«Service Charge» present on our bill due to a large party removed. He said he could not do that and we then said some percentage off then. He finally settled, incredibly unwilling to apologize or offer any sort of understanding to our issues. We left and will never be returning to that TGIFs and possibly any other, lest we receive similar service.

We went here before a concert because we were really hungry and expected TGI Friday’s to be pretty good and it was a tad disappointing. The skillet my food was in got way too hot and the cheese burnt. Everything tasted good except for the cheese which is a pretty big part of the meal. Our waiter wasn’t very attentive but he was nice. The decorations were cool because they were mostly Cardinals themed.

This has to be the most un-impressive TGI Friday’s that I’ve been to. Then again, why anyone would go to TGI’s while being surrounded by tons of restaurants in downtown STL is beyond me. Still, I came in during the evening with a guest, and had just an a-ok experience. This TGI’s struck me as boring and bland. Not so much the food, but the décor. The atmosphere. The staff. Blah.

Just tried to get a table for 4 on a Sunday evening after the championship game. Got told 25 minute wait, half the restaurant is empty though. 40 minutes later we were still waiting for a table. Ended up going to a competing restaurant down the street that had no wait and tons of open tables too. Do not recommend this place as the food was also coming out cold as overheard from other diners who actually able to get tables and some form of service.

poor food proportions and pricey for nothing great. I go to Soulard Market and Make everything here. I am staying home. I do not like this area as it is during and not during Cardinals and rams games. During Cardinals games, not many people come here. They mainly go to Hooters. This is a quiet resteraunt
