This is AKA Calico Toys & Games and a very fun place to visit. Several of the selections are unique AND reasonably priced. Salespeople are in each room but they help when you need it and don’t crowd you. We were happy to find a few treasures in this fun, bright and clean store and will be back.

This place should really consider changing its name as you would think it’s an art gallery store versus what it really is, which is a huge 2-story toy store! They do sell some prints and frames in the back of the first floor, but the rest of this joint is filled with toys for all ages. I felt a bit cramped walking around downstairs as there are lots of items packed in a relatively small area, but it was a bit more open upstairs. I would think young kids could easily spend an hour perusing thru this store(or at least my two young boys would). While we were here, they were having a big sale and nearly everything was 50% off, so my wife and I took advantage of that. If you have children in tow or simply need to find a gift for a child you know, I would take the time to stop in here. Staff was very friendly as well.

This isn’t really a gallery even though they do have some framed prints(we actually bought a framed print). It’s mainly a toy and game store. You have never been in a toy store until you’ve been in this place. They have lots of really cool, unusual stuff that you might remember from your own childhood as well as new and cool stuff that would please any child(or adult) today. Way light on the«electronics» and deliberately so. This is a place to buy stuff to capture your imagination without a lot of lights and sounds. It is the way children should play and learn. I can’t say enough about this place and it’s a definite«must visit» if you’re in Saint Michaels and it’s on our«must return» list for Christmas and birthdays.

Wow. This is like the BEST toy store I’ve ever seen. And it’s not a chi-chi, «we’re all wood and German-made and you’re all Very Involved in Your Children and can drop loads of money for them» toy store. Just really great toys, games, puzzles, books, posters, kites, science kits. Anyone could spend hours here. It’s intimate without being claustrophobic or junky, with a huge selection. Everything there seems like a quality product that you’d want for children. Probably worth the trek from DC and environs. Get some crab while out there.
