I enjoyed wedding crashers and I was so excited about this place. I need to mention that we did not stay at the hotel, we only showed up for lunch and my review is only about my experience . They receive the guests very nicely and seat them . We had a great view from our table. Room set up is such a way that you literally can hear the people at the oposite corner of the room, there is no privacy in between tables. I think they have more table in the room than they should . There is nothing special about menu, you would think that is an average bar menu .but they have a good wine selection. Service was one of the issues I noticed, multiple people were serving us and I was not sure who is our server . I took very long to get our drinks, bloody merry should not take 15 min to prepare . I ordered crab cake burger, crab was good but greens on my plate were in terrible shape, far from being fresh . It took quite long to check out considering that resturant was not that busy . The lady at hotel’s reception was very friendly and helped us with bikes outside, riding bike in St. micheals was fun experience. I don’t recommend the resturant, hotel might be different tho.

The service for the Resturant deserves 10 stars with our waiter Chance. We had lovely fresh breakfasts– the problem was that staff do not communicate very well with the servers(I have dietary restrictions to dairy products) the hostess apparently knew about this, but that info did not go any further that morning. We had several delicious meals & I needed to repeat my dietary requirements. We had dinner last evening in the stars RESTURANT — lovely meal. We had the halibut– it was excellent. The funniest part of the evening was desert. My husband ordered the Chocalate dessert with Chocalate sorbet– so I ordered the plain Chocalate sorbet. A few minutes later the hostess arrives at our table and tells me that they have run out of Chocalate sorbet. I decided to get another flavor. Ok. As my strawberry sorbet is served, my husbands dessert is served with Chocalate sorbet. I thought they ran out of Chocalate sorbet– what happened guys?

We booked the Chesapeake afternoon tea. It is served in the morning room instead of the Stars restaurant. The room is lovely, but seating is inappropriate for eating: comfortable chairs and sofa, but eating at small side tables or coffee table, too high or too low and too far away. Server was friendly and accommodating, but food came out very slowly, long after teapots were served and tea cooled off. Inadequate amounts of clotted cream and jam for scones. Tea, sandwiches, scones, cookies and mini cakes were tasty. Not recommended.

Not much has changed from Sherwood Forrest besides the name, which is good. I’m not sure if I enjoyed the fried green tomato crab appetizer, the soft shell crabs over cheddar grits, the amazing view or the engaging and delightful service. I’d want to try a few more entrees before I offered a 5 for food but the soft shells were a six in my Book.

Dined at Stars again last night. We really enjoy their terrace overlooking the lawn & river. When in St Michaels we always enjoy a Cornerstone beef filet prepared in the Star kitchen. Great service, meal & ambience. Ps. Pups welcome on terrace!

I was pleasantly surprised by Stars. I generally discount restaurants in hotels but the food and service was first class. Soft shells were cooked perfectly. Crab soup rich and heavy with crab. I recommend.

Fantastic Restaurant with Excellent Service. Food 4 Stars Service 6 Stars Picture Perfect Ambience with Clean food topped with exceptional service. Food meets moderately expensive price although its not NYC3 Michelin Stars quality and not as expensive… but Service is right up there and comparable to any of the michelin rated restaus in NYC. Pet Friendly with a canine menu too!

We ate at Stars breakfast lunch and dinner during our short stay at the Inn at Perry Cabin and were really impressed. Stars has a stunning setting: right on the water, tranquil with a beautiful view. Wide range of choice on the menu including gluten free options. All dishes were delicious with generous portions. I had the tasting menu with wine selection for dinner which was great value for the quantity and quality of food. The steak was incredible — cooked to perfection and very tender. The burger for lunch was just ok though. The service from everyone was warm welcoming and friendly, with good knowledge of the wine menu. We would highly recommend and will definitely be back.

The hubsters and I came here for a Valentine’s Day brunch — as stated previously, the restaurant is now known as Stars(as it used to be Sherwood’s Landing). The restaurant offers continental breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, as well as Afternoon Tea, Jazz Nights, and Gourmet Packages to add on to your stay. I highly recommend in making reservations, as this place gets filled quickly — the hubs made a reservation and requested the best seat in the house — and, boy, did I feel so lucky to be seated next to the largest window, right in the middle, with a lovely view of the water!!! We were seated promptly by the hostess, Jessica, who welcomed us warmly and was such a sweetheart! :D The hubsters and I had the following: BLT with Farm Fresh Eggs(smoked bacon with a large slice of roasted tomato, artisan greens, over easy eggs with a balsamic vinaigrette, all set on top of a toasted brioche; I loved how the eggs were cooked perfectly, and the huge slice of the roasted tomato was quite nice as it was very juicy and fresh); Green Eggs and Ham(two poached eggs, spinach, and Canadian bacon, set on top of cheddar herb rolls with a hollondaise sauce, with a side of country hash — this was our favorite, as the poached eggs, again, were perfectly prepared; the sauteed spinach was a nice touch, and the country hash was crispy and seasoned well); Brioche French Toast(battered brioche slices with roasted bananas smear, topped with vanilla butter and a cup of Vermont maple syrup — I think the brioche could be cooked a little longer with more of the batter; I did like the roasted bananas, and I really appreciated the fact that this dish was not too sweet); a side of pork sausages(comes as 2; these sausages were yummy and not at all salty); Greensboro Scrapple(definitely different; it had a lovely crusty exterior, but it was one of our least favorites); white toast(yes, the bread/English muffins are at an additional charge, but highly recommend, as you can try their fresh, house-made spreads(strawberry, blackberry, honey, and orange marmalade — all were just so delicious, and we were both fans of the strawberry with its huge chunks of the berries!); the Cinnamon Bun(this was slightly dry); the House-Made Muffin(comes with 2; the flavors change daily, and we had the Cinnamon Streudel — these were also, okay, but forgettable); fresh cranberry juice(served warm, though, which I would have preferred it to be nice and cold!), and a Fresh Fruit Smoothie(made with coconut water, this was a combination of all the berries; very thick and fresh, but slightly forgettable). I really liked the fact that the dishes all tasted so fresh and clean. Our server, Brittany, was very kind and friendly, as well as the rest of the waitstaff. I loved the high ceiling with the natural light, as well as the lovely picturesque views of the water — definitely a cute place to grab a meal with either your sigfig other or a small gathering of friends: D +housemade spreads(strawberry is worth the drive!!!) :D +perfectly prepared eggs(!!!) +Country Hash(nice and crispy!) +Pork Sausages +make reservations(request a window seat!) :D +known for their brunch +located inside the Inn at Perry Cabin +friendly staff: D(ask for Ms. Jessica(hostess) and Ms. Brittany) +plenty of parking in their lot
