Hit them up at harriet brewing food truck rally — had the bulgogi rice dish — flavors etc were excellent — my only beef was the lack of kimchi in the dish — there was 3 – 4 smallish pieces and the bulgogi /kimchi flavors combined were amazing — but I only got that for a small part of the dish. We got the mandu as well and I’m more of a fan of pan fried vs. deep fried for that type of dish.

These guys came to children’s hospital today and the food was great. Four items on the menu. I picked Seoul tacos and mandu. The mandu were a little greasy, but flavorful and the tacos were awesome. A tiny bit of a kick, but by no means blow your taste buds off spicy. Prices can’t be beat. 6 for tacos and 3 for mandu plus 1 for a soda. All in all… Super satisfied. Also on the menu Seoul burger and Golgi plate. All looked yummy.

Service was good, and I really wanted to like these folks, but the pot stickers I ordered were overdone and greasy, really not something I’d go for again. My friend had a burger, and he enjoyed it very much. So I’ll give their burger a try if I bump into them again in the future, but stay away from the pot stickers… I did get a tip on how to improve home-made Kim-Chi. That was cool.

At long last I finally was able to catch up to the Gogi Bros. truck at the 612 brewery tonight. And I am very glad I was able to. Their menu is not very large, tonight it was beef galbi(marinated short ribs), bulgogi(marinated beef), tiger balls(kimchi/rice balls topped with a slightly spicy sauce) and mandu(veggie dumplings, similar to potstickers). Got one of everything and the total was under $ 20 which is a steal for Korean food. Both meat dishes came with sticky rice and kimchi and were packed with flavor. The one thing that could improve the overall flavor would be cooking the meat on a charcoal grill to add that extra woody smokiness that is oh so good! The tiger balls were a hit at the table and next time we will order more than one order, two is not enough! The mandu had a nice crispy touch to them and the dipping sauce was perfect for the dumplings. Hopefully I can get a chance to track down(stalk) Gogi Bros. again and they will have some non-beef options with more spice. Hey Gogi Bros. Get me ready for my trip to Seoul! Spice it all up!
