Absolute best experience! Barb was THEMOST kind and helpful associate! I started a new job and Barb was soooo helpful with recommendations for outfits and graciously ran out to grab other sizes and colors as needed! She was so caring and wanted to be sure I had everything I needed before leaving! I’ll definitely be back! Very friendly staff! 3 other associates were helping as well!

I’m a big fan of J. Crew products– quality, style, everything. I definitely frequent their stores often, and I believe that it’s a good idea to buy quality, classic stuff that you can have for a while. The location of the place is really nice on Grand next to a bunch of other great stores and restaurants. The one thing I don’t like is their employees, compared to other stores. The Mall of America store, for instance, recognizes my family and I when we go in, helping us and giving us great treatment(they know they’ll reap the rewards). I don’t know if they are constantly getting in new people at the Grand location, but their employees, other than one, don’t act this way. It’s more of a «ask me for help and I’ll help you» rather than a «how can I help you?» attitude. Otherwise, they have a good selection that’s comparable to others in the area(although I want one of the J. Crew stores to get a Suit Shop!). Student ID gets you a 15% discount, chicka yeah.

I love J Crew clothes cuz they fit me. However I avoid this location because of the snooty staff. I could walk into store in head to toe brand new J Crew, and they would still avoid eye-contact, or deign to say hello. I’ve always found this behaviour odd from those who make a nominal wage, and spend that wage on their employee discount. I’ll go to Southdale or the Mall instead, even if those locations are miles out of my way. ************ Update ************** Just found out a new store opened in Rosedale– stopped in– seemed really nice. Now if they would only carry shoes in their retail shops, life would be peachy!
