Good small seafood store, but if you want fresh shrimp (as in never frozen), don’t come here. When I am in Florida, I want fresh seafood. Especially near the coast as it’s the case with St Pete, it’s just obvious to me. Not freshly frozen and defrosted at the store, but actually fresh. Think about it… you can get frozen seafood anywhere in the country. They have several kinds of shrimp as well as other seafood, so selection is there. I also appreciate the honesty of telling people that shrimps are previously frozen as it would have been evident right away by smell, texture and flavor.
Ended up getting some key west shrimps and scallops, all was good, grilled right on the beach. The lady working was extremely nice and helpful.

Been driving by for quite some time. Decided to try This market out. I was little worried how fresh the fish would be because the shop is a little hidden from Gulf Blvd.
Pleasantly surprised! Fish is caught within days of being sold directly to public. I think its a Father/son team.
Gentleman assisting me was VERY helpful! I purchased Red Snapper filets & one crab cake.
Grilled snapper, meat was moist, & tasty! Like butta! Reminded me of fresh caught snapper we used to catch ourselves!
Crabcake good (more lump meat please)
This may be my new go to seafood market. usually i hit IC SHARKS, but this place more convenient to my commute home.

As each year, we came back at Treasure island for a couple of weeks and are glad to taste the crab cakes once more time and they are always so delicious. Also get a red grouper filet: wonderful.
Not always a lot of choices but in any case fresh and tasty. Welcoming team. They can supply you with ice for transportation. Great service

I love this place. Father and son run it and they always have a fresh catch. They are extremely knowledgable and will give you a free education in buying fresh fish. You might say they school you, pun intended. The only suggestion I have is the place needs a facelift, maybe a fresh coat of paint guys!!! Keep up the great work.

Outstanding. They know their fish and Shrimp. We came in for a long weekend, my daughter wanted shrimp. She located this place, not much of a store but sure doesn’t need to be with product like they have. The shrimp tasted like little bites of lobster, just like the man said. The best seafood chowder ever! Went back later in the weekend and got crab claws and grouper. Yummy. Keep up the great work!

I’m giving early thanks for finding Key West Shrimp Company. It’s been a looong time since I was in a place that features such fresh local seafood at really good prices.
Just got home with their Stone Crab Chowder and 3 pounds of awesome looking stone crab claws! The stone crab chowder is awesome. Great seasoning and chunks of that delicate crab make this my new favorite chowder. (Sorry, New England.)
Logan and Bryce (sorry if I misspelled it)
were very helpful and made me feel quite welcome.
Looking forward to returning.

Great customer service. Gentleman is very helpful and offers many good suggestions for what your tastes are or if you’re looking for something you haven’t tried before. Nice place to do business.
Prices are inline with local markets.

Amazing food! These guys know what they’re doing! I got the Surfer Benny (Eggs Benedict with shrimp, scallops, avocado on a toasted croissant! Yummers!!! Husband ordered all three of the sliders, he was practically licking his plate. Try this place! Mimosas are delish as well!

Fish looked fresh. Not much to choose from. I bought red snapper fillets. when I got home, all the scales were left on the fish. when i called they told me they do not scale the fish. I have cooked fish for many years but that was a first. Not easy to scale a fish with a knife.
