So delicious we ate here twice outside on the patio while on vacation with our kids. Don’t let the upscale look fool you… they were really great with my children. And the food was so good and filling. The fish was fresh and my god… that hummus they start you with… I dream about it. Definitely recommend a stop here. Does get busy and there was a slight wait both times but it moves quicker than you’d think.

This place is great. My boyfriend and I walked over for a romantic dinner and it met our expectations. We got the shrimp appetizer. It was absolutely perfect. The portion size was huge. My boyfriends ordered the fish and chips off the early bird menu. We were really impressed at the prices on the eb menu. It was strange that it came with a pre-meal coleslaw. The coleslaw was awesome though! Can’t comment much on the fish because my boyfriend devoured it. I got the sesame wasabi tuna. It was amazing. I was really impressed by the presentation. I was slightly bummed I got a middle piece and end piece as the end piece was more well done. The meal came with a salad which was very good. I think we want to come back again before our vacation ends!

Delicious food and good service. A bit pricey and noisy inside. The waiter was attentive. The décor is artistic.

We loved it here! The seafood was phenomenal! Ordered all the top recommendations from Unilocal including the stuffed grouper, the blue tuna appetizer, the encrusted tuna entrée. We were so impressed with the plating/appearance, freshness and wonderful mixes of flavors. Desserts(crème Brule and Key Lime pie) were pretty good too. The service was perfect. Fast, informative, non-intrusive and polite. I cannot wait to come back!

Never again will I come to this restaurant. It’s not so much that there was a dead cockroach mixed in my wife’s salad, covered under the lettuce. Stuff happens, I get it. However, when this happens, the whole table loses their appetite, the meal is over and it’s generally accepted that your entire meal will be compensated. After we discretely notified them that there was a cockroach in our food the waitress said she would get the manager. We waited several minutes and the manager didn’t come. I decided to locate the manager myself. Initially I found our server and this is where the server, manager and restaurant completely failed. The server said, «I’m trying to get your wife’s salad taken off the bill». To which I replied, «Excuse me, there was a cockroach in my wife’s salad, we’ve lost our appetite and will be leaving now». She than said, «That bug flew in from outside, in to your wife’s plate». I replied, «Are you fu**ing kidding me?». I will add that we were seated in a covered outdoor patio out front so their claim that it flew in from outside isn’t completely off base if not for two key factors, the roach was dead and buried deep within the salad. At this point the manager walks up and repeats that the«palmetto bug» flew in from outside in to her salad and this is a «hazard of outdoor dining». I realize we were eating at the beach and there are a lot of tourists here, but don’t patronize me by calling that massive cockroach a palmetto bug! I know it’s a damn palmetto bug but I also know that a palmetto bug is a gigantic cockroach. At this point, I was floored. I raised my voice and said, «Are you kidding me, there was a cockroach in my wife’s salad». The woman told me to calm down, our entire meal will be compensated. We left, we will never be back. If you’ve made it to the end of this review just understand that it’s probably a dirty kitchen, then again it’s the beach and most of the restaurants are probably gross. But if you expect to be treated with dignity and respect, you may want to consider another restaurant.

Fantastic dinner! Loved this place. Good food and the service was great. We started with the Appetizer Basket of Fried Clams, which were very tasty. Loved the dipping sauces and we asked for fresh lemon as well. The house salad… OMG… the house salad. Not sure what exactly the dressing was but it’s obviously made with some sort of magic. I asked our server and she said it was made in-house with garlic, olive oil, mustard, and a few more things but that’s all I can remember. It was super tasty. The Wasabi Crusted Tuna was delicious. I will definitely order it again! My mom enjoyed the Lump Crab Cakes, and the Key Lime Pie(with raspberry drizzle) was scrumptious too. The Early Bird specials are also a great deal if you go early. Look out for those. Not a lot of parking in the back. Update: I tried making the salad dressing at home and I think I came pretty close using mayo, sour cream, minced garlic, mustard and lemon juice. I’ll take another stab when I pick up some buttermilk and cumin.

Love this place! We had 3 early bird specials(huge portions) and my son had the fillet off dinner menu. Food was fresh and delicious! Salads served on cold plates«love that» they even have is complimentary Key Lime pie for dessert with the early bird special. Not too many beef options and no burgers at all… Didn’t matter to us but for some it may.

Came here around 9 pm on a Monday night and there was still a short wait to be seated, this place seemed super busy so make sure to make a reservation or not to come during dinner rush hours! I was super impressed with the service, all night our waiter was very attentive, funny, and super helpful. He seemed very passionate about this restaurant and his job so it made our dining experience much more memorable. –For dinner we shared the wasabi tuna and the stuffed grouper. Both amazing options! I would recommend subbing jasmine rice for the potato on the tuna entrée for a more sushi bowl feel but otherwise everything was fantastic. Playing was beautiful, everything was well seasoned, and the side vegetables, potatoes, and rice were all also all delicious. Only complaint I have is that we ordered a bottle of champagne and it turned out only to be a half bottle. A little embarrassed for not realizing this but wish our waiter had given us a heads up! Otherwise amazing food and service, fresh seafood and not too overpriced. Awesome place for a date or night on vacation.

— Short Synopsis — Snapper’s Sea Grill has great seafood with a cool, dim ambiance. — Detailed Summary — They have a parking lot in the back. There are no reservations for this place, so the parking lot capacity is a good indicator on how long the wait might or might not be. The crowds seems to peak around 7 pm. Having been here a few times, I have enjoyed the food at each visit so far. The service has also been good and attentive. My favorite dish(so far) is the Blue Crab Stuffed Portobello in the appetizer section. This would be the one dish I would recommend. The combination of the crab, mushroom, cheese, and chipotle sauce provides a great depth of flavor and is delicious and rich. Of course, their other seafood dishes are all good quality dishes. The two popular tuna dishes are good(Wasabi Crusted Tuna and Blue Tuna). They both have nice texture and flavor contrasts. Some of their dishes have interesting flavor combinations that I do not usually see. For example, the coconut-cashew crusted Mahi-Mahi has a sweet, nutty, and savory combination of flavors. With the nutty flavors from the nuts, the sweetness component from the mango chutney plus banana add something interesting and different from what I am use to in fish dishes. The side of salad served with the entrees is decent and I enjoy it. The thin, crisp flatbread served with hummus is refreshing, although I have had better flatbreads and hummus elsewhere. The seafood is where this place shine. Snapper’s Sea Grill is a great place to grab some seafood. The owners also own Madfish and 1200 Chophouse, which are pretty good themselves. I like Snapper’s the best though out of the three.

Our fellow Unilocalers did it again! Thanks to the reviews on this restaurant, we tried it and loved it. We’ve passed this place dozens of times over the years, but it is now on the Rotation List thanks to the wonderful service and excellent food! Our Server, Jimbo, was excellent and kept the flow at a smooth and calm pace, with no gaps in service. We started off with the Snapping Shrimp appetizer, lightly fried shrimp with a sweet chili garlic sauce that was very nicely done. My wife enjoyed the Shrimp Scampi with very large and tender shrimp with just the right touch of garlic. My Fried Fisherman’s Platter was an excellent and included lightly battered and fried fantail shrimp, scallops, mahi a crab cake and fries. And for dessert, the Key Lime Pie was delicious, not too tart and had an Oreo Cookie crust that was a welcomed surprise. The atmosphere is relaxing and bright and is a true pleasure. And to top it off, the Early Bird Special prices added more pluses to a very nice evening.

Super! 5⁄5 !!!

I had the wasabi tuna, my wife the coconut shrimp. Both were excellent. At the end I said to the waitress«our compliments to the chef». «He gets that a lot» said she. You expect to pay a bit more for such quality, but the prices are very reasonable. Presentation and service are top notch.
