So… I called this office today(10÷16÷15 A.M.) to inquire about rental availability. The«lady» that answered the phone was RUDE from hello. Her nasty tone/attitude regarding rental availability and method of reservation were completely unacceptable. She confirmed that Unit#401 was available for the time I was looking to be on the beach and wanted my CC info over the phone. I advised that I am uncomfortable with giving my CC info over the phone and inquired about online reservation availability or even stopping by the office as I am a local. She continually repeated«We need $ 200 for the reservation.» I advised that the deposit was no problem and again inquired about online reservation availability or coming by the office to reserve. This same conversation went on and on and on, over and over again. Finally I asked why she was being SOOOOO unnecessarily nasty/rude in her tone and reluctant to answer my question. She says I need to speak with the manager who is out today and that the manager doesn’t like having people in the office. WHAT!!! That was all I needed. There are way too many rentals on the beach for me to have to put up with this crap. I told her to forget it and hung up. What a waste of time. They should probably get someone else to answer the phone.

The Gulf Beach Resort on St. Pete Beach is awesome. They are condos that you can rent out. Most of them are individually owned so each unit is decorated differently. The in-laws have been coming here for years. We went for Labor Day weekend and had a blast. The building is right on the beach with a nice pool. They have a big hot tub and plenty of space to lay out or grill out with family and friends. The beach itself is very pretty with really soft sand and great sunsets. This particular weekend the waves reminded me of the east coast because of a big storm out in the Gulf of Mexico, but normally the water is calm and mostly clear. I’ve been here with them one other time back in high school but I forgot how nice St. Pete Beach is. Within walking distance you can rent jet skis, go parasailing, and slide down one of two massive blowup water slides. There are a plethora of other fun things to do in the area and tons of dinning options within a ten minute drive. The units all have full size kitchens with all the major appliances and they are stocked with silverware, plates, bowls, glasses, cooking pots and pans, etc. All of the units have balconies and spacious closets. Our only complaint was that the pullout bed mattress was very uncomfortable, but we were able to MacGyver a makeshift bed on the floor that ended up being just fine for the couple of nights. All in all, this place is great and we recommend it for anyone looking for a nice place to spend sometime at the beach.
