Good views, great food, and free onion rings. The service was a little slow, however it seemed that the waitress was a little over worked. Looking for good seafood? You can’t go wrong.

As locals, we’ve eaten here many times over the years but sad to say, it seems to be going downhill both in terms of service and quality. Last weekend, we went for my father’s day dinner around 4 in the afternoon. Despite being half full, we were ignored after being seated for awhile and had to ask for a server to come take our drink orders. Our server was not rude but didn’t really keep on refreshing our drinks and the orders took longer than usual to come out of the kitchen. My daughter’s Mac N Cheese came out in a dirty bowl. The other orders were meh at best and my scallops,(which I think might have actually been shark or ray… OR frozen for a decade) had the consistency of the rubber balls that come out of the kid’s vending machines. Portions for price were off too. At any rate, very disappointing considering all the great meals and service we experienced in years gone-by. I hate to think CB’s is resting on their location for customers now, rather than quality.

Delicious fish tacos! And the onion rings are to die for. I was shocked when the order got to the table. It’s the biggest basket I’ve ever seen. Great roof top bar area with view of the beach. Perfect spot for lunch :)

Not a bad place, but the service could be better… Also, the employee walking around taking pictures to sell to you was a bit much for just wanting to sit down to have a decent meal.

This is my first time here. Started off as no one greeted us but then a nice lady at the souvenir shop saw us then we got the service begin. The food are pretty good! Nice view to the beach!

I thought the food was great. It was very busy Saturday night(but consider the holiday a factor) I thought the staff and manager were friendly and accommodating by putting on the nba game at the bar tvs. Great experience.

Service was very good, food was mediocre. Got the free onion rings, calamari, and shrimp cocktail for appetizer-they were pretty good. For dinner my husband and I shared the seafood platter that had snapper, crab cake, shrimp and scallops. It was enough food to satisfy both of us. My favorite was the crab cake dipped in cocktail sauce. Ambience is family friendly, casual, and bright. The waitress was very friendly, attentive, and fast.

We came to crabby bills to escape an afternoon thunderstorm before we went to the beach around lunch time. It was not busy when we arrived, maybe six other tables. It was very disappointing. We ordered some mixed drinks and a few appetizers since we weren’t really hungry because we are ate a late breakfast. It took 20 minutes for our first appetizer(chips and a crab dip) to show up. Absolutely ridiculous. We also ordered the boom boom shrimp, and the conch fritters(we ordered the conch fritters based off a Unilocal recommendation). They must have changed their recipe for the conch fritters, as they were terrible. It’s basically a fried ball of breading with a few pieces of conch. Basically, it’s a darn hush puppy. Do not order. The only decent thing we ate was the boom boom shrimp. They were okay, nothing like the bang bang shrimp they were trying to imitate(bonefish grill). These shrimp were very greasy. To top it all off, our waitress had a piss poor attitude. She made it very clear she was mad we only ordered appetizers(we also ordered five alcoholic drinks between the four of us, but never mind that). Our bill ended up being $ 73(excluding tip). We are visitors here, but if we come back to St. Pete, we will never come back. STAYAWAY.

We sat at the bar. Tavoris was our server. He was very friendly and had a contagious laugh… lol, he laughed about everything. We started with fried pickles. I don’t eat fried foods very often and they kind of made my stomach turn. I didn’t really care for them. I ordered 1 lb of Alaskan snow crabs with a baked potato and coleslaw and my other half ordered 1lb of steamed clams and a 1lb of steamed mussels… All in all the food was okay. I had my crab fix so I was happy… ;)

I have been to Crabby Bills three times and feel like they were all different experiences. My understanding is they are owned by different people so that’s understandable. This review is about this location only. We got there and it was busy for a Monday night. We are in Florida and it’s on the beach so expected. We wanted to watch the sunset like everyone else so waited upstairs. It felt like we were in the way no matter where we went. I’m sure this is frustrating for servers. I’ve been in that situation and not their fault for setup but we were told to move quite a bit. Never could find a decent place without feeling like we were in the way. There were just two of us. Positives– staff was pretty friendly. Service was fine. View for sunset was amazing. Negatives– time our food got there it was stale. I’ve eaten the crab cake sandwich in Clearwater and it was amazing. This was honestly gross. Stale bread. Cold crab cake. Felt like our food probably sat there awhile before being delivered. I don’t blame server bc they are busy and I’m sure kitchen is far from upstairs patio. They need help. My boyfriends coconut shrimp was same. Cold and stale. He also had eaten this at another location and it was good so maybe this was just a bad night. My suggestion is to help get food to patio. They are busy up there and food quality suffers.

Well the place has the view going for it. Maybe there is better items on the menu than what we chose. The food was okay, nothing really spectacular. My appetizer was the U-Peel em boiled shrimp(hot version). No flavor whatsoever. Just plain plain plain. My entrée was the Frog Legs. Again, plain with no flavor. They were tender. Small, but tender. Just no flavor. My roommate had the broiled seafood combination platter. He thought it was okay. Only took one bite of the crab cake and sat it to the side. He did get diarrhea that next morning when he woke and wondered if it was from dinner. I did not get sick at all. While the food wasn’t horrible, it was far from what we expected. Oh and for the fellow Unilocalers, if you check in and show the waitress you get a free side of onion rings. Maybe ours was the bottom of the barrel. They seemed crushed or hurried and SUPERGREASY.

Service: Very fast, attentive, helpful, nice, and funny Food: Unlike most people that eat there I don’t like seafood and I was really pleased that they had a few options that I could choose from. I got a cheeseburger and it was extremely good and the fries were amazing. My brother got the fried shrimp and he loved them. My mom got the meat ball sub and she said that was amazing as well. Price: Unlike pretty much all the other seafood restaurants around St. Pete, this place is pretty reasonable with their prices. Plus they are really reasonable if you aren’t getting seafood. Wait: We went around 5:30 and there was no wait at all. We walked right in and sat down. However I did think there was a wait to sit outside. View: The restaurant is right on the beach so you have a beautiful view of the ocean. Plus when you are done eating you can burn off the calories by walking on the beach! Atmosphere: Unique, bar-feel, and casual

I’ve come to Crabby Bill’s while on vacation at St. Pete Beach three times now, and I would say that there are better options on the beach. When I came in 2014, they had an amazing happy hour and early bird deal, but their prices have since gone up. I ordered the coconut Shrimp Your Way from the appetizer menu, and for $ 9.49, I got five or six(albeit delicious) shrimp. I understand that they’re on the beach, but this seemed pretty expensive. Their outdoor patio is nice, and the staff is kind, but the indoor section of the restaurant seems outdated, and as another review mentioned, it does have a fishy, stale smell. In an area with so many bars and restaurants, I would suggest checking out some other places before heading to Crabby Bill’s.

Drinks and apps were awesome! I wouldn’t bother with the main courses, though. Pros: — Outdoor dining overlooking the beach. First come, first serve seating. We opted for the bar. — Friendly bartenders, strong pours. My Mai Thai was tasty. — Conch fritters were top notch. Cons: — The indoor dining area had a very unpleasant, musty/moldy/fishy odor to it. Good thing we sat outside. — Crab cake sandwich was meh. Not the lump crab meat as described on the menu. The bun was fresh and tasty and buttery. Fries tasted frozen from a bag. — My fiancés Mahi sandwich was also meh. Fish was overlooked and dry. Overall: Sit at the bar on the outside deck, grab some conch fritters and a drink and skip everything else.

Recommended to me by a coworker. I was elated to try everything on the menu before I even got there. The food was mediocre — nothing to rave about. Don’t get the crab cake appetizer, it only comes with a small sized patty for $ 8. The raw oysters were good, as was the calamari and the spanakopita. I would return, hopefully not on a Monday night because apparently those nights attract the entire city.

While I was In town for a few nights for a conference, I was ushered by others to try Crabby Bill’s if I was looking for fresh seafood. I turned my Monday night hunger into a stomach full of good eats. I rolled into Bill’s where I was greeted by a hostess who presented many seating options(indoor, outdoor, booth, bar, or table). After being seated in table facing the Gulf, I looked over the menu with a variety of seafood appetizers and entrees including salad, pasta, sand which, and even turf options to compliment the surf.(I was mindful when ordering that many of the food options prices were listed as «Market» and do vary given the day). However, the Key West Platter was reasonably priced for what was on the menu(mahi, 2 skewers of shrimp, 2 sides, and 2 conch fritters). I made the mistake of ordering with big eyes and did not leave hungry! The food was delicious and ’twas a good Monday night outing!

This is our first stop straight from airport(as long as we don’t take late flight). Perfect for Bardai crab legs, best clam chowder ever and sunset! Got to eat outside on the patio upstairs. Bartenders are your waitstaff and they hustle.
