For a museum café this is exceptional. It was a great place to stop while viewing the exhibit and grab a decent snack. There are salads and sandwiches but also lovely crudités and tapas. The plastic chairs at the bar leave much to be desired but I think they were chosen for their look rather than their function. The staff is pleasant. They don’t rush you but they do hustle to take care of a ground. The cava was unique, the prices are more than fair for a trapped audience and it’s a great place to stop so you don’t rush through the museum.

My wife and I normally avoid the inflated prices and mediocre food typically associated with the food service provided in museums, galleries and other attractions. But after touring the Salvador Dali Gallery in St. Pete, FL, we were starving and decided to give this unique Café a try. Thank goodness! It was a gourmet lunch! We both enjoyed the daily special that included a very unique salad and artfully prepared sandwich. Inquiring about the tasty salad dressing, a staffer took the trouble to explain some of the fresh and unique ingredients used everyday. Great gallery, matched by a truly spectacular lunch!

Really good food. I enjoyed my tortilla espanola for lunch during my visit.

After reading all of the positive reviews on the Café, we decided to time our visit so that we might enjoy lunch there. We visited the museum on a day that became fairly crowded. There is extremely limited seating both inside and out. None of the furniture is comfortable(perhaps intentionally?) and people stood around like vultures waiting to grab a table that might be vacated. Wow! The food must be amazing, right? Well, in my opinion, this restaurant is incredibly over-rated. The menu is extremely limited and offers food that is, to be kind, unique. I ordered a ham and cheese panini(the only non-unique item on the menu). There was virtually no ham(a very thin slice or two?) and it was like eating just bread and cheese. Given the high prices for the food, I certainly expected better. There are too many great restaurant options close by the museum. I recommend that you seek out one of these for lunch.

This is a wonderful little café located inside the Dalí Museum in St. Petersburg. Since the museum on this day had two exhibits, after our first tour we decided to have some lunch. My wife and I enjoyed a charcuterie, which was a small but was excellently done. She ordered a Spanish style torte with ham and cheese. Both dishes were excellent. And they were both washed down with a Blue Moon beer. Service when you ordered, was quick and effective. But you do have to go pick up your food, and bring in a tray to your table. Definitely worth while treat in between exhibits/tours.

We only decided to eat here while visiting the museum because of the good reviews on Unilocal and Trip Advisor. There is a very limited menu and for picky eaters, it would be tough to eat here. I had a very good soup of Spanish ham and beans. Very tasty and nice and hot, served with a roll. My husband had a ham panini, which didn’t have enough ham, but otherwise ok. Can’t say I would eat here again as there are so many nice restaurants close by with many more choices.

Meh. The food was overpriced for what it was, but it was edible and not terribly expensive. If you’re already at the museum and can’t wait to eat, go ahead, but it’s nothing to write home about.

Love this museum! It is totally worth the visit! Lovely layout, lovely Spanish food in the café and the Los Vinos De Dali event is so good! A must visit when in town!

Had the cheese plate, gazpacho and a veggie wrap and coffee. It was all good. We shared everything and ate well for 24. Counter ordering but table delivery. Beautiful café. Better food than most museums and I’ve been to almost every major art museum on the east coast. The choices and level of cuisine were unmatched especially considering the price.

After a private tour of the Dali museum, I really needed some coffee, so I paused at the Café for a moment. Three people behind the bar, and it took 2 of them to make an Café con Leche(A Cappuccino). At first the woman said she’d make it, and then the guy took over. He made it perfectly dry, and it was absolutely delicious! I really appreciated the rock candy stirrer. I made the mistake of giving the cup to the husbeast to watch… he drank most of it, and so he went out to get me another. he came back with both an espresso and cappuccino. This time the cappuccino was wet — the difference being foam and no foam. I LOVE foam. Still tasty.

Just one word of advice: make sure the gal behind the counter doesn’t put both hands down the back of her pants before handing you your wine. I kid you NOT.

Great Spanish tapas dishes from tortilla de papa, seranitas, gazpacho soup, and your typical Spanish jamon serrano and manchego cheese. Great outdoor setting to lounge and relax outside near the garden for a luncheon or snack.

If you need a food break while visiting the Dali museum, this is your place. While it the sole food offering at the Dali, it’s also a good one. Had the warm serrano ham and cheese sandwhich and was delish.

We came to the Art Museum and wanted to sit down and get a cup of coffee. We order two coffees. I was thirsty and asked for a cup of water with my order. The lady said: we do not have water. I asked: you don’t have water here?(I was confused because how can a coffee shop have no water ?) She said: our water filer is not good, I can give u a water cup and you can get water from the water fountain. So, I was wondering, how can a coffee/tea shop have no drinking water? The coffee shop either serving tea and coffee with nasty water, or the service was just terrible. But 5 mins later we sit down, we saw another customer got a cup of water from them. Not sure what’s up with their customer service… I would never came here again for sure.

This is a nice café within the Dali museum. I got the serranitas but I wish I got the Andy Warhol special(tomato soup with a mozzarella cheese panini). Oh well. The serranitas was good. Had good flavor and the tomato slice made it moist. I would’ve sat outside near the garden but it was chilly and windy. Instead, I sat by the table near the glass which provided a great view or the garden and the water.

This café is located inside the Dali museum. You don’t have to buy the ticket to eat at this café. The place is very small and has limited seating so you do not wanna go when it is crowded. Their menu does not offer much variety however everything was great and not too expensive at all. We got two kinds of muffins… both were good and I loved their Panini sandwich. Definitely recommended to take a break from the museum viewing.

Great little place on the first floor of Dali Museum. Seating is limited inside, but step though the door on the left into Avant-gardens — there are tables & chairs under the umbrellas with beautiful views to enjoy. Refreshing Gazpacho with croutons, perfectly made and chilled, and solid lunch/snack specials — frittata, wraps and sandwiches. Veggie wrap with anchovies, cucumbers, tomatoes & olives was delicious. Nice for a quick bite after your museum visit.

EXCELLENTLITTLECAFE After touring the museum, we stopped in here for lunch and surprisingly found it to be exquisite. I had the Ensalada Jamon, comprised of fresh greens, ham, cheese artichokes & oil dressing. It sounds ho-hum, but it definitely was not, thanks to top-notch ingredients. My wife had the Tortilla de Jamon, which was quiche-like in the Spanish style, I think. The Kahwa coffee was very good. The meal was reasonably priced and superb. BTW, Gala was Dali’s wife…
