What a great spot. With a name like that you have to be good and they are. The food is excellent and the prices are almost unbelievably low. When ever I am in town I will stop by this great little side of the road spot

Love it. Super divey but I like the fact that I can walk in with shorts and a tank on, covered in sand from the beach, and no one cares. The drinks are cheap. I really like their bloody Mary’s. Get the wings. Get them blackened. Thank me later. Also, the burgers are great. So are the fries. It’s bar food but it’s a level above most places. The also have a special every single day of the week. My favorite so far has been the chicken Parmesan. They aren’t really big on to go orders. I got lucky when I called it in last time because they weren’t busy but she told me they won’t do it again. It’s better when you eat it their anyways.

Delicious food and good drink deals. Tuesday’s are $ 2 drinks, so don’t plan on getting a table unless you show up at 4pm. Their burgers are big, they have shrimp, wings, spaghetti, etc. Definitely good food for a bar!

Dead Bobs what a name! But thanks Unilocal because of the reviews below my boyfriend and I jumped in the car and set off on a new food adventure. Pulling up is memorable in it self because parking sucks if they had better parking and a pool table this would be 5 star for me… Drinks were super cheap I think Tuesday they have a special on drinks they were 2. And some change. It’s a dive bar but some great food comes out of this place. The only thing is they do not take togo orders. I think by doing so they would make so much more money. Open till 2a.m. and it is the best bar food I have ever encountered, hands down in Pinellas County. We started with fried pickles and cheesesteak eggrolls… Both were good really! Enjoyed the cheese dipping sauce they give with the eggrolls, yummy in my tummy. We both ordered meals and decided to split. The apps themselves were so filling we ended up boxing our food. We ordered the ragin cajun chicken burrito it came with rice and beans they really gave that plate justice I mean it was great! 420 burger was huge and amazing it was one of thoose meals you almost feel guilty eating because it looks like a heart attack waiting to happen, but its delicious and you do not care at that moment. The 420 is not something you could eat all the time but for sure left a place in my heart as a foodie. Prices here are so reasonable you would be a fool not to have a drink and try it out. Very casual friendly vibe…#Support local businesses…

All I can say is looks can be deceiving. They have awesome food! You wouldn’t expect the type of food to be delivered from a small locals bar. You have to give it a try. You won’t be disappointed. Try the Philly Cheesesteak Eggrolls. Delicious!

Just a good spot to hit on the way to or from the beach. Mixed bag of people-all walks of life-all ages. Open front. Good looks good. Typical Mike Anderson place-he knows how to set up a bar. Busy every time I’m there like all his places. I like the place.

Best little bar in town… has really great food and nightly specials to die for. and it’s cheaper then some fast food places. They have some of the best buffalo boneless wings I have ever tasted. just the right amount of heat. The beer is great too.

So after reading rave reviews, I decided I would check this place out for myself. I ordered the ragin cajun chicken burrito and was NOT disappointed! It was HUGE and very delicious. The only negative comment would be it came with a side of rice & beans, which were also in the burrito so a different side would’ve been better. The service was ok but considering the place was PACKED, I’m ok with that. If you want peaceful and quiet, go someplace else but if you want great food at INCREDIBLE prices and an upbeat and lively atmosphere, GOTODEADBOB’S!

Dead bobs is one of a kind. The servers know us by name, and remember what we like. It is a very local bar and restaurant where most everyone in there is from this general area. It may look like a dive bar from the outside, but don’t let that stop you! I’ve yet to find a better burger anywhere, and their daily specials are hard to beat. Don’t expect a fancy martini or a 5 course meal at this place, but do expect a rowdy and fun experience that you’ll be wanting more of!

This place does«dive bar» really well. They aren’t trying to apologize for who they are or pretend to be anything other than this and as an added bonus, it’s not a shit hole. If you’re looking for a local dive bar with good service that actually has Jai Alai, well you found your bar. As an added bonus, they serve fries with gravy, too.

Love my Dead Bob’s…great food, good drink and we can watch all the games on Sunday. Friendly staff and great vibe with an outdoor feel whether your in or out. And we can walk from home! Great food specials for as little as $ 5.67 and nothing here will break the bank. Love the burgers… a huge sammich with two hefty burgers cooked to order and some of the best onion rings around. Not ur frozen, store bought variety. And where else can you get a fried bologna sammich? Well… at Dead Bob’s. Nothing dead about this place. Love me my Dead Bob’s. And Tuesday’s you’ll find a great night of $ 2 drinks. Definitely worth the stop.

This is a crowded, noisy, dive bar. That being said, it is AMAZING. 5(million) stars for the food & prices. The food is delicious! We ordered the philly steak egg rolls and the cheese nuggets for appetizers. Both were fun. The cheese nuggets are like mozzerella sticks cut into smaller bites before deep fried and the egg rolls had steak and onion inside and were served with yummy white cheese sauce for dipping. The app menu looked like bar fare. The dinner menu had burgers, sandwiches, and plates and everything that we ordered was excellent.(Another Unilocaler posted a menu pic, check it out!) Great prices and portion sizes! For dinner we had the osso buco(huge and nice presentation), and the scallop dinner(blackened, they were cooked perfectly). Drinks: Tasty, good prices. No draft beer :(only bottled. Service: Fantastic. Our server was pleasant and kept our plates and drinks full. The manager came out and checked on us too. Highly recommended.

I’ve been here a few times now and really enjoy the place. The bar is actually in a plaza, but it’s it’s nice and open with a laid back relax atmosphere. The service is always good, people are always friendly, have a good selection of drinks and have some pretty good bar food. If you’re familiar with Willy’s on St. Pete beach, this is owned by the same guy. Knowing this, I went ahead and ordered a burger. Holy cow(no pun intended)! These burgers are huge! When I ordered the burger, I thought that it was just going to be a standard single patty burger. No every burger comes with 2 patties. I’ve checked out their Facebook too and it looks like they always run some good specials. They have dinner special like salisbury steak, Pot roast, Fish Fridays, etc all under $ 9.00 a meal! They also have wing and beer specials for all the college and NFL football games! Just a heads up. They don’t have any beers on draught, but I will say they have a decent selection of beers and craft beer to choose from.

I have been to Dead Bobs a couple times now and always have a great time. For a bar placed inside a small plaza it has a great beach bar type feel. We stopped in again Saturday to grab a bite to eat before heading to the beer festival downtown. Knowing we would be drinking all day, we wanted something along the lines of a sandwich or just something simple. We all ended up getting burgers. These things were huge! They all had two patties on them and all the toppings. By the way did I mention they were awesome! Its pretty typical barfood menu but didnt taste like typical barfood. They have a large number of beers although I dont believe they have draft. Not a big to me. We saw some girls that were getting their hair done at the salon next store sitting at the bar with foils in. So I guess its also a good place to go when waiting for your hair. Some advice for the ladies:) Definitely a cool little bar.

Dead Bobs isn’t the first place I would think to go to dinner, it’s a Bar. But, late night munchies and apps? Yes, sir. This place is quick with the food and doesn’t disappoint. You HAVE to try the Philly cheesesteak egg roll. Seriously, they should be installing that sign any day now. It is 100% worth the calories and 842 burpees to work it off. It comes with a side of white cheesy dipping sauce, and if you add a little hot sauce to it it is the kind of thing that makes you glad it is one of your neighborhood bars. Also, notable mention: fried cheese curds. For some reason I have always been put off by them because of the bake ‘curd’ but recently I have been broadening my cheese horizons and I order them everywhere. For extra cheesiness I dip the cheese curds in the cheesy sauce left over from the egg rolls. I know, I’m going to have a heart attack before I leave next time, but I don’t care! Let me live!

Dead Bob’s.I’m not angry at it. Obviously if you are eating at a bar you don’t expect anything fancy. However, for bar food this is decent. We have never been here before but driven by many times. We had to be somewhere in the area by 4:45. There aren’t many great food options in the area so with 45 mins to spare we decided we’d stop and try Dead Bob’s. Prices are very reasonable. They have no drafts but they do carry cigar city in cans. Good enough for me! I had the philly and wife had chicken tenders. Both decent. Not much meat on the philly but sure was tasty. Chicken reminded me of the ones at fergs. Cornmeal maybe? Anyway. It did the trick. Got fed, didn’t hate it. Not a place I will go if I’m looking for amazing local food but definitely will come back for a «burger and a beer».

Total wannabe beach bar. Service struggles to be average and it’s really nothing special. I must say, I haven’t had food here but it does look pretty good. On the off chance I find myself here again, I’ll give it a shot. If the food is good, I’ll be more than happy to give a more favorable review. But as it stands, too crowded, unfriendly and slow bartenders and just nothing about this place makes it stand out. Sorry Dead Bob!

So, if I am recalling correctly, I moved into the neighborhood around the corner from here a little over a year ago and this place popped up not long after. At first, there was just this black and white sign that said bar and a decent amount of motor cycles parked out front. The miminalistic nihilist in me wanted to check this place out, but you know life just happens and so over a year later I still had yet to visit. Over that year, Dead Bob’s eventually got its blue neon sign and the crowds continued to grow. So the other Friday night we walked on over there. The crowd is local, and that is cool because we are local. They have food. We did not try it because we ate before we walked over. We would have tried it, but it was not clear from Unilocal(or any other online sources we may have hastily consulted) whether they served food. I remembered reading a Unilocal review back when there was a black and white bar sign saying they would be getting food, but no confirmation that it arrived there yet. Good news, they do have food. The menu looked to have a little more bells and whistles than your traditional bar food, but not too many. The layout of the bar works perfect for the location and crowd. The bar straddles the front exterior wall and makes it so that it is indoor-outdoor. The smokers smoke outside and can sit just across the bar from the non-smokers sitting inside. The inside is actually quaint and beach-like and pretty modern looking. The bathrooms were clean. The staff was very very friendly. And the locals, many neighbors we had not met before, were very friendly. We even got a ride home. Good selection of liquors. I do not believe they had any beer on tap, but they did have a small selection of craft beer that they shared with us upon request. I’ll have to go with 4 stars for now, but if the food is good when we come back(and we are definitely coming back to Dead Bob’s), it could seriously get upped to a 5 star. Fun times and very cool local dive bar.
