This store is on the small side but it seems to have all the necessities for making a Korean meal. The temperature in the store is high for a grocery store. The prices here are a little higher than what I am use to but I don’t know what is comparable for that area.

Very friendly. And more importantly, their home-made side dishes are delicious! Have to try their to-go meals, but heard from friend they were good too. Good to call and order ahead. And as Asian person, so grateful for these grocery stores that offer the variety we crave!

This is the best spot for Korean groceries in St Pete! The store is always neat and tidy and the folks who run it are very friendly. They carry items I haven’t been able to find anywhere else and the prices are reasonable.

Have been going there for the past month. The prices are good, there’s a nice variety of items, and the staff is friendly. The Kimchi is awesome and I’m looking forward to trying their to-go items :)

Jung Il Oriental Food & Gift is a little blink-and-you’ll-miss-it Korean grocery that sits in a strip mall just a couple of doors down from the popular ABC Chinese restaurant. While they specialize in Korean items, they also have other items such as Japanese desserts, tea and other things. They aren’t large, but I go there periodically to get their«fast food»(bulgogi or bibimbap to go). They are generally fast, although not effusively friendly, their prices are good, and they are very convenient. They also have delicious kimchi, which they sell in several sizes of refrigerated tubs, in addition to other various pickled things.

Way over prices and very unfriendly staff. Not a great selection of good Korean things. Kim brothers in tampa is worth the drive.

It’s the only Korean grocery in St. Petersburg(that I’m aware of). Small but has the necessities.

Good prices, nice variety of choices and delish kimchi! I’ve shopped here on and off and instead of driving to Tampa for all things Korean, this is a one stop shop for what I need 99% of the time. The owners are very friendly which makes for a pleasant shopping experience unlike other neighboring Asian markets who give you the stink eye every time I walk in. They know the meaning of customer service here. One thing I like about shopping here is their prepared banchan, especially their kimchi. It’s the best store-bought kimchi I’ve ever had. Well, correction, best non-mother-made kimchi I’ve ever had anywhere outside of home and Korea. I like my kimchi a little spicier but they’ve got a lot of the little nuances that make kimchi great. I like their seasonal selection of produce and noodles. However, they need to bring in more light, it’s a little dark inside and«facing» the isles can be a little more organized but I’ll keep shopping here.

The grocery I would go for Korean stuff. Dont know there names(the owners) but been going here since 2000, I know they know me by face, they make me feel at home. You can even get Bim Bim Bop here for lunch. A good place also for Japanese food stuff you may need.

While there are so many Vietnamese grocery stores nearby, this is the only Korean grocery store in the area. And I personally buy only Japanese and Korean grocery(no Chinenese or Vietnamese). This store is a really big help because I do not have to drive all the way to Tampa to get what I need. The store is a moderate size. They have all the Korean and Japanese basic sauce and condiments. They have some frozen seafood and others. Personally I doubt they pull out expired frozen food. We bought a box of mochi ice cream and they were definitely stale. They do not really carry vegetable, snack or drinks. So if you have a list of a whole bunch of Korean and Japanese grocery, you probably end up going to Tampa. Their price is higher than other Korean groceries you see in Tampa, however being the only Korean grocery in St. Pete gives them the advantage.

A great place to get Korean, and other Asian, grocery items. Also have prepared Korean dishes. Ordered Bi Bim Bab & Bulgoki. Not sure if they’re the best but they’re really good. Korean Grocery & Korean Food

This grocery store is a hidden gem near 275 on 54th Ave N. It appears to be the ONLY venue in St. Petersburg for anything Korean. The grocery portion of the shop is very affordable compared to most Korean stores in Tampa and elsewhere. There are also many refrigerated banchan to choose from that are made in house. My favorite thing about this store is the made to order Korean dishes to go, like the Bibimbap, Spicy Squid, and Haemool Pajeon. There is also a board by the register that states the items of the day. If you live in the area and have always wanted to try homemade Korean food, I highly recommend stopping by here and getting a to-go meal, asking questions, and getting some great answers.
