This a small pleasant library, not too many computers. Children’s area in front facing checkout counter. Comfy seats in rear periodicals/​magazine area. Large meeting room behind computers. Clean restroom. Right on MLK bus line and in front of Fossil Park, so you can take a stroll through it when tired of sitting.
Several eateries a few blocks away. Money well-​spent here.

Gets the job done. If you live on this side of town, the best thing to do is to order your book online and run by here to pick it up. The staff is very nice and there’s never any line to checkout. You’ll see some sketch peeps hanging around but it’s nothing near as bad as the libraries downtown. And this branch is the most modern of facilities. But it’s free (you don’t have a choice to pay taxes), so for free… not so bad.

This small branch is useful if you are located in North St. Petersburg. It offers all of your basic library needs. It is the most simple of libraries, and is staffed by helpful folks. The online system will allow you to reserve books. I am looking forward to trying the electronic sharing via my Nook.

I have been visiting this library since I learned how to read. North Branch Library was remodeled a few years ago to add additional computer rooms. It also has a meeting area inside which is used for children’s activities (such as weekly storytellings), classes, and meetings. The room can also be reserved for use by non-​profit groups. While I used to spend time browsing through all of the shelves to find my next book rental, I now use the online library system to reserve books. I get notified via email when they are available and I just run in and pick them up. The staff is always very helpful and friendly. I also use Overdrive — library eBooks available for free to cardholders.
