Bought a package that would expire in six months, I went in just after five months and they said it had expired. Six months should mean six months.

Love this salon whether it’s for indoor or spray tanning! Lisa the manager is extremely professional and customer oriented. I’m super pale and she hooked me up with the perfect spray color before my cruise, customizing my experience so it wasn’t too dramatic looking. Thanks Tanning Cove girls!

Bought a voucher through Unilocal — 70.00 for 40.00 … Being the coupon was suppose to be worth 70.00 and they offered 4 spray tans at 90.00 the lady made me a deal for 3 tans for 70.00 voucher I bought.
I went in there today after rushing from work to get to my appointment only for them to tell me I only got two tans and besides my voucher expired 6 months ago … They are wrong … I have copy of my voucher which was good till 2016 June.
Rip off company, plus last spray tan was very streaky … First Lady was awesome at job … Next lady rushed through it

I went to tanning cove for the 1 hour spray tan and am now addicted. The tech is so professional and friendly and the results are amazing! If you don’t get a nice tan naturally this is the option for you! Also the one hour option is so great if you can’t wait 24 hours to shower. Pricing is totally fair for what you get and the monthly options really save you some money! Totally recommend!

I have been a multi-​unit manager of various national tanning salons on and off for almost 10 years.
The manager here, Lisa, is a girl I would hire in a heartbeat if I were still in the tanning industry.
She’s a fabulous manager. Kind, responsible, and customer-​oriented.
The beds themselves are very old and lacking in basically everything, but the bulbs get the job done… and at the end of the day that’s what matters in tanning– the result.
I think hiring some more «sales» girls to focus on pushing some products and specials, upgrading the beds into this decade, and maybe adding an automated machine (like a hydration station), and they could have an even more successful tanning cove. ;)

I just moved back to the area from California and was looking for a good place to get a spray tan. I was nervous when I saw the 2 star Unilocal review, but tried Tanning Cove anyway. I’m really glad that I did — Megan was my spray tan technician last night, and she did a wonderful job. She really took the time with me and did a wonderful job. My hands and feet are not orange, and I have an even tone all over. I would highly recommend Tanning Cove — so glad I found it!

We had a great experience getting a beautiful spray tan here. Taylor took her time and was very meticulous. It looked AWESOME at the salon. However, the next morning we were quite orange. And our hands were orange (see picture). Maybe they should consider a different product? Taylor was truly fantastic and I don’t believe this was her fault.

I have been spray tanning for 10 years and recently moved to the St. Pete Area. I will be honest in saying I’m very fair skinned and very picky when it comes to spray tanning. Tanning Cove has great customer service and always works to fit me in even when I’ve called last minute for a spray tan appointment. I have been tanning at Tanning Cove for the past 6 months. Their packages make it very affordable and I’m always in and out under 30 minutes. They mix up a solution that would best complement your skin tone so it looks as natural as possible. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a spray tan. Ask for Lisa :)

It’s so hard to find a great spray tanning place, where you don’t have to worry about turning orange or being splotchy. Especially a place that hand-​sprays you instead of stepping into a machine. This place is a gem and the girls who spray you are really sweet. If you want a little less on your face and more on your legs, they do it. And they’ll mix color levels to create the perfect tan color for your skin. Love it!

If I could give this salon zero stars, I would. My sister reviewed this place and her review was removed. I was visiting her in St. Pete and due to the unfortunate weather, decided to go indoor tanning because I was hell bent on leaving with a tan. Our first visit was perfectly fine and enjoyable, but the second time we came was a different story. We showed up on Saturday morning at 10 am, there was no one there, so we figured the technician was probably running late, no big deal, we waited for a full twenty minutes before a girl came racing into the parking lot and then grumpily walked toward us and two other people who were waiting. She looked at all of us rudely stated «I wasn’t supposed to open today» she then proceeded to open the door for herself, and let it slam in all of our faces. We tanned that day because we had purchased tans there, and then vowed we would never return to Tanning Cove again. I have never received such poor and blatantly rude customer service in my life. It really is a shame because their facilities are quite nice. I’m sure the owner will have my review removed also, which really does irritate me. I would prefer he or she contact me and deal with the issue rather than erase it.

I brought my sister to tanning cove while she was visiting me this weekend. To say we witnessed terrible customer service is a gross understatement. We arrived at the salon (after my sister called first to confirm their Saturday hours and spoke to the owner) at 10:10 AM. A woman was already waiting outside, apparently the technician was running late that morning. Shortly after another woman joined us as we waited for the technician to arrive. At about twenty after ten (even though we had been told the salon opened at 10) the technician came flying in to the parking lot and stormed up to the four of us, obviously annoyed. She unlocked the door and let it close behind her, without a hello or even an apology for the fact that we had been waiting outside for twenty minutes. When we walked in, she told us we would have to «wait» because she wasn’t even supposed to work that morning and proceeded to stomp around and turn on the lights and the computer. One woman, who was understandably exasperated, walked out at that point. My sister and I had prepaid for tans and each had one left so we decided to stay for that visit but both vowed to never return to Tanning Cove. There is a Planet Beach located down the street which we visited the next day and the staff and services are phenomenal. Needless to say, I will never be returning to Tanning Cove.

Adriana (?) I think was my technician. I’m not 100% on that. I did not inform them that my hands are very dry and apparently that had an effect on my hands. On Dec 30, I went in to get a spray tan before leaving for Cozumel. The next day I noticed that a large amount of orange was on my hands and thumbs. I was leaving the country and didn’t have time to go in, so I shot them an email asking what causes this. Someone responded and was very apologetic and mentioned that my dry hands could have caused it. I plan on going to Tanning Cove for my wedding in October (along with all my bridesmaids) so I will be sure to explain this and make sure they are extra cautious! :)
Other than that, it was a good experience!
