This place had really gone to hell. I have been a fairly regular customer for the past 12 years. My last 3 visits, which span about 6 weeks, have been horrid! I used to be able to come here and get a quick, accurate, and fresh meal. For a chain restaurant it was always pretty good. Recently we have had problems with order accuracy which I put on the server’s shoulders. We went in this morning with 10 people. Everyone ordered breakfast. All of the potato dishes, whether home fries or hash browns, were burnt to the point of being inedible. The sausage links were almost the consistency of jerky, the eggs were cold and the pancakes seem to have been cooked last week. The manager did take care of our check, but I spent an hour and change and never got to eat. Stay away!!! The Bob Evans in Woodbridge is much better.

we went there today for breakfast(husband, 2 kids and me) service was excellent, Waitress super friendly, came a few times to refill our drinks, food was fresh hot and delicious, eggs could have a little more salt for my taste but not a biggie you can always add extra salt. Would recommend and will be back for sure.

My husband and I sat for half an hour without anyone even taking a drink order or acknowledging us. My baby started crying from hunger so we finally gave up and left without eating. Will never return.

I recently moved back to the east coast after being gone for nearly 3 years. I haven’t eaten in a Bob Evans in over 3 years, but I remember that it used to be a staple of great food years ago, so on a trip back home from DC I decided to stop in for lunch on a busy Sunday afternoon. This turned out to be a terrible decision. My waitress was very nice, but service was just bad. I waited over 40 minutes for two eggs, sausage, biscuits(which I never got) and hashbrowns. I waited 10 minutes for a glass of milk, and about 8 more minutes for a refill. The waitress kept coming over and asking how I was doing and I’m like«Just waiting on my food». She finally told me that my order had been lost in the back and she put it in again so it should be out any moment. Finally my food came and it was the most bland and over/undercooked food I’ve ever had. Eggs were just so bland, the sausage was undercooked and the hashbrowns were burnt and disgusting. I never even got my biscuits that were supposed to come with the meal. Overall I was just really, really, disappointed with the food and this experience makes me never want to return to this Bob Evans, or any other Bob Evans in the future.

First time here. 20 minute wait on a Sunday(normal), the food was good but the service was not. Because of the crowded restaurant our waitress informed us they ran out of silverware – not ok. Our food was served to us and then we waited patiently for silverware – not ok. When silverware came there was food residue on my silverware! Gross. After asking for new silverware it was extremely hot because it came straight out of the dishwasher – whatever. Bottom line this place should be prepared for a crowded environment, there are plenty of other options around to accommodate our family with better service.

Typical Bob Evens. I like the place. I can get breakfast any time of the day and it is better than most other places that offer that menu. The service was good and the staff was friendly.

Great and amazing service. Every time I come here the food comes out quick and the wait time isn’t very long. I also love the cleanliness of the restaurant! Will definitely stop by again when I’m in the area.

Coffee was the worst ever. Food was cold, and tasted average at best. Service was decent enough. Atmosphere was what you would expect for such a chain It was very busy, but either there aren’t a lot of options, or there were a lot of first timers as I can’t imagine going back. If you MUST go, the French Toast and buttermilk biscuits were good — but cold.

Not impressed at all. 2 stars is being generous and that is only because my daughter LOVES the pancakes. Where to begin? We came on a Tuesday evening around 4:30 — not busy at all, only 2 other tables occupied at the time. We were seated at a booth and I noticed right away the table was gross and sticky. When a waitress FINALLY came to our table to take our drink orders she wiped the table down for us. After placing our orders of breakfast for my daughter(which she loved), I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak — which they were out of. I then opted for the chicken finger platter — out of that also… WHAT? So, I annoyingly picked a sirloin steak cooked medium. We were supposed to be offered either blueberry, banana nut bread, or dinner rolls while waiting for our meals. I had to ask for those. My steak came completely raw on the inside not even close to medium. I was reluctant to send it back but I knew I wouldn’t eat it. So, after having to flag down the waitress, she took it back and said they would prepare a new plate for me. By the time it came out my daughter was done with her food and I just asked for a box for mine. Our drinks were never refilled and the waitress never brought our check. I just got annoyed and went to the cashier and told her what table I was at. Also, I received a punch card for a free cookie when a kids meal is purchased… but they had NO cookies out. WTH???

The service here can be hit or miss. Sometimes it’s awesome, sometimes it’s literally inedible. :/they do have a sign up where you can give your email & they send you coupons which is nice & offer 10% for military.

The food and service here was great. The only reason i didn’t give this review higher, was because the grilled chicken strips were raw. They weren’t a little undercooked– they were raw. They were going to take it off the bill, but because if was kids night, they took off one of the adult entrees. The restaurant was clean inside and out. Id might try again for breakfast.

We don’t have Bob Evans on the West Coast so when my family moved out here a little over a year ago we were told that we had to try Bob Evans. Following that advice was a very smart decision. I’ve had breakfast and lunch fare, both have been very good. The biscuits and sausage gravy are superb. The cinnamon supreme hotcakes were very sweet but since I was expecting that they were very good. Cobb salad with the house sweet italian dressing is my favorite. I love the dressing so much I buy it for at home use. The slow roasted turkey bacon melt is delicious though I don’t recommend it as a left over, the bread gets a bit soggy. The service at this particular location is always good. They get very busy and sometime there is a bit of a wait to get a table but the friendly service and good food more than make up for it. All in all I am glad I have had the opportunity to try Bob Evans. I am surely going to miss it when we leave Virginia.

Food… GREAT! Service… GREAT! Our waiter mistakenly placed my order incorrectly, he was honest that he wrote down the right order but typed in something different when submitting the order. You don’t find this too often. When I brought to his attention that I had the wrong order, he quickly removed my plate and placed the order. My food was hot and fresh! The fresh ingredients at this establishment has always been good and service always accommodating. Thank you Bob Evans for making my experience GREAT!

This is not the first Bob Evan’s I’ve been to, but it was the first I was dissatisfied with. The food was not good. Pancakes were undercooked and chewy. The bacon was like rubber. The water and soda was good :) The server seemed grouchy and unwelcoming. However, she was not slow and took the order and brought the food in good time. We all had breakfast food except one cup of cheese potato soup. The soup and much of the food went right into the garbage and we left hungry.

I don’t normally like to go to chains restaurants, especially for breakfast, but while visiting my mother-in-law, she wanted to go. The service was okay. Typical for a Sunday brunch. But the food was institutional. My M-i-L said they had good omelets, so I ordered the one with all the veggies. Meh! The eggs were overcooked and the veggies undercooked. The bacon tasted like it had been microwaved, and then stuck under heat lamps. I could do a much better job making my own breakfast. Never again.

Bob Evans is synonymous with comfort food. They make a great breakfast, the service is consistently good, and you can also get delicious pies if the mood strikes you. It’s the kind of place you go when you want middle-of-the-road, not too expensive, nothing exotic or wild kind of food. A hearty plate of bacon and eggs with some pancakes on the side and a great cuppa coffee kind of place. No matter when you go, the place is buzzing with customers. Always a good sign. It’s clean and comfortable, fine for kids, the whole family in fact. I see a lot of large families there. It’s down-home cooking for the masses. Chain or not, I enjoy it every time.
