Food is great, place is clean, employees are nice! We always prefer this place over subway and Quiznos, the food just trays better here. Love that they give back to the community and local firefighters, police, and military. Only four stars since the prices are rather high.

Food is good but price is a bit much. $ 28.00 for two large subs, drinks, and chips was more than expected. Could go to an actual restaurant if I wanted to pay that much. Disappointed in the price but did leave with a full belly.

Good food, poor service Chain sub shop that offer very tasty subs. The service is quick, plenty of room to dine in and tables outside if you choose. Check your order once you pay, the folks working the registers often make mistakes because they don’t pay attention to the customer ordering.

DELICIOUS! My first time trying Firehouse today and I ordered the Italian and steak sub… mmm mm

I’m no writer and don’t care to be, so my review will be short and simple. This place is far better than any Subway, and on par with Quizno’s in both quality and pricing. Personally, I like the theme and am glad my son got a hat with his meal. I no longer use fountain soda machines, but if they were all like these fancy coke machines, that might not be the case. I chose 4 stars because I see Subway as completely average at best(3 stars), and Firehouse is definitely a little better. I have also seen better than Firehouse though.

We were going to stop at Hardee’s across the parking lot but stopped here instead. Pros: a friendly greeting when we entered, a waiting staff ready to make our sandwiches that actually looked happy and engaged in what they were doing(rather than only talking to each other or staring out into space), good sandwiches and lots of drink choices! Cons: I noticed the window sills were a bit dusty but the rest of the place looked clean and was buzzing with energy of families and others enjoying lunch on a Saturday.

I love this place and so does my family. We live in Stafford and have been patronizing this particular store for more than a year. I’ve read other reviews that complain about the staff, and I find them to be like most of the people I’ve met in Virginia-pretty low key and stoic. But, they do yell out«Welcome to Firehouse!» whenever we walk in. I’ve tried most of the sandwiches on the menu and they are all very flavorful and I’m always satisfied. Much tastier than Subway or Quiznos(some reviews say otherwise, but something must be off with your tastebuds). I recently decided to cut the carbs and tried one of their chopped salads and added more meat to it and it was really good-lots of romaine lettuce, chopped vegetables, italian meats, with the roast beef I had them add-delicious. They also have one of those cool ass coke machines with all the flavors, and if its Coke versus Pepsi(even diet which is what I drink) Coke is a deal maker for me-i hate Pepsi products. They get a little busy at lunch because of the Marine Corps Base near by, but it’s worth the wait. I do agree with one other reviewer that Jimmie Johns is the best chain of subs, and in case you didn’t know they have one in Fredericksburg now. Peace

Had the Italian sub and honestly did not have high expectations. This thing was freakin awesome… good fresh meat, tons of cheese, great dressing. Awesome hot sub and great customer service.

We’re new to Stafford & love this place! Within our first couple visits, every family member had their favorite sandwich picked out:) It’s close by, they have a great selection of hot sauces & one of those drink machines that lets you mix & customize any combination of drinks! The kids definitely love it:) I wish they had more selection as far as kids options but my 2 yr old always leaves with a cool ‘fireman’ hat & the service has been friendly:)

Passed by on way home to VA Beach. This was definitely not their best one. Service was not the friendliest. When I enter the VB stores, I’m usually greeted with«welcome to firehouse». And all employees smile. On top of it, you don’t have to wait for employees to notice that you’re waiting to order. Most of tables were not clean. The pulled pork & slaw on Hawaiian bread I ordered is mostly skin of pork & it was chopped in huge chunks. Couldn’t finish it.

Average Firehouse Subs. The seating and queue area are average. There is nothing that espeically stands out about this over the rest of the chain.

Oh my goodness! I have lived in stafford since the summer of 2007 and I have tried Firehouse Subs a month ago… Awesome is all I can say. Better and than Quiznos and Subway. this was the only spot I could get a pastrami sandwich without making it myself. Tasty! My mom got the turkey ranch Swiss and she said it was really good. My husband had the meatball oh that was the best meatball I ever had besides the ones we make at home. Yes, Firehouse Subs is worth the price for a sandwich of all sorts!

We gave it a shot. $ 18 for two turkey subs is a bit steep and we didn’t even like the sandwiches. Not going back.

This is one of my favorite sub shops to eat at. They have a great selection of food for just about everyone in the family. The atmosphere is upbeat and they keep the place clean. They have a coca-cola freestyle dispensing machine which is fantastic. They’ve had some issues with some customer service help that worked the registers, however it’s been awhile since I’ve seen them so there probably don’t work there anymore.

I have been here twice now and have left completely underwhelmed each time. First of all, customer service is nonexistent. No one smiles or even pretends to want to be there. Secondly, the food is just okay. It’s not bad, but it’s not noteworthy either. I’ve gotten the Italian(good meat, but Italian dressing is sweet) and the Steak & Cheese(decent) I would compare it to Quizno’s without the yummy condiment bar. I love the fact that firemen established this place, but besides that novelty, it’s nothing special. I probably won’t go back since Panera, Five Guys and Kabob Corner are all in the same shopping area.

Just tried this place this weekend after passing it so many times. I have to say that it was amazing! It is so much better than Subway and Quiznos! Plus my kids loved all the fireman décor and the free fireman hats they have. I didnt give it 5 stars because it is a little more pricey than your average subway but its pretty darn good! It would be awsome if they had hot firemen making hot subs lol but I’ll be coming back either way.

This place is great. It kicks the crap out of every single sub shop there is except Jimmy Johns, which is hard to find on the east coast anyhow. The food is great and so are the prices. Subway and Quiznos should be worried. –B

I ordered two subs to go one evening after work(about 6 p.m.). The place was empty except for one guy. I ordered the Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket and the New York Steamer. I really wasn’t impressed. Maybe a bit disappointed. I felt, for what I ordered, that this place charged a bit too much($ 18 for two foot-long subs). Quiznos has MUCH better subs than Firehouse for less, but what really sets Quiznos apart from Firehouse Subs is that when they toasted the sub, it’s actually FLAVORFUL. I hate to say it, but with my one and only experience there, I won’t be going back. This place has been in Stafford long enough to work out the kinks.

I am very surprised that no one else has written a review for this place. It has been around for awhile now. The subs are pretty good, with a reasonable price. It can get kinda crowded at lunch, but hey, if it was empty that means they are not very good.
