La Quinta Inn & Suites Houston Stafford Sugarland

Its ok. Not real bad, not real good. Rooms are too small. It is close to plenty of shopping and restaurants.

I stay at this hotel almost every week. The management is great and they really care about their guests! I recently lost my home in a storm, and this La Quinta gave me a night for free because they knew about my predicament. They are always sure to take great care of me! Thank you so much La Quinta for always being so kind to me!

I stay with La Quinta Inns — Or used to because I traveled to Houston to visit my grandchildren. I reserved a king suite. The room smelled like mold, the drive up smelled like rotten trash, the valet *two of them* had flat tires. Will not ever stay with La Quinta again. This is a rent by the hour hotel. It shows. For 109 a night I went next door to the Courtyard by Marriott. Only 8 bucks more, and received an incredible room! Not happy with La Quinta. Also, even thought I cancelled my reservation after seeing the room, they charged me $ 209.00 anyway, and it didn’t fall off until the Tuesday of the next week. Terrible pain in the butt.

I give LQ 5 Stars. Not to say it’s a 5 star hotel, but they do what they’re supposed to do.
I stayed here extensively last year for work trips. Front desk folks were almost always very friendly. The cookies you get if you’re a member of their returns program are amazing. They have free breakfast til 9 and that includes make your own waffles and hard boiled eggs and the other standard continental stuff. It’s super convenient to the highway if you’re intentionally staying in the Stafford/​Sugar Land area (I wouldn’t given a choice!) The rooms need updating yes but it’s a La Quinta soooo… it’s pretty much what I expect.
ALSO the reason I decided I should review it is multiple times I’ve accidentally left stuff in my room and I’ve ALWAYS gotten it back – jacket, phone charger, even the last time my driver’s license fell out of my pocket and under the bed and they saved it for me and mailed it to me lickety-​split. What more could you ask for!

My boyfriend came to visit me from MA and we stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. The front desk was always helpful, the cleaning ladies took very good care of the room and did not bother us when we had the «do not disturb» sign outside. The breakfast was not the best, but at least there was breakfast. And our overall stay was very enjoyable. The reason why this hotel does not get the last star is because there were never any trash bags for us to put in the trash cans and that caused a mess in the baskets we didn’t want to leave for the cleaning crew. One night we found little ants on my boyfriends computer and on the bed, but there were only like 5 and they were fruit ants so we didn’t get too freaked out. Also the pool wasn’t at it’s very best but it wasn’t too dirty.
They have it all and for a really good price. My boyfriend and I had a great stay and saved some money because he’s a Triple A member and they get discounts! Overall, we were pleased with this hotel and it will be the one I will always refer to people who are looking for a place to stay!

Rooms need to be cleaned/​updated to match the external appearance. Housekeeping only available twice during week stay.
However, it is located next to an IHOP, Pappadeax, and Hooters.

I reserved a two-​bed room for my brother, his wife, and their three kids (all under six years old). When we arrived, someone was smoking marijuana at the front entrance. The security guard was right next to the person!
Once we checked in and paid, I helped them to the room. When we tried to open the door, the key didn’t work. After trying a couple of times, someone from the inside knocked on the door! The room had already been booked and no others were available. I informed the front desk, but they had no idea why the room was occupied. They proceeded upstairs and knocked, then pounded on the door. When the person inside wouldn’t come out, we decided we would not be staying here and asked for a refund, which we were promptly given.
We went across the street and checked in at the Hilton.

I stayed at this location on a business trip. After a long day of working and returning to my room after 6pm it had not been serviced and the next night i returned after 10pm and it had not been serviced. My air conditioner did go out at about 1am. I was invited to move to another room so I could get some sleep. I was given a certificate for a free night stay, but I don’t think I will ever use it.

My aunt and uncle came from oklahome to visit my family and they stayed here. In the middle of the night they saw a families of lizards everywhere, they left in the middle of the night and my uncle died months later. If this hotel wouldve been nice we couldve spent a weekend together before he died. Thanks alot!
