What a great place for an incredible breakfast, if you’re searching for that Mom and Pop diner this is the place, the scrapple, fried okra, biscuits gravy…

I will never be back here again. The server was friendly and the food came out quickly but that is all I can say positively about this place. All of the food is terrible. I paid $ 10 for my meal which consisted of two eggs(overdone), biscuits and gravy(not warm and from a can), «home fries»(cold seasoned potato chunks). I guess I just expect that if I’m paying for it my money should be earned and the status quo here is lazy cooking if you can call working a microwave cooking.

I have been here a few times for breakfast as an alternative to IHOP and Bob Evans. It is typical small diner setting and popular with the local community. It gets pretty crowded if you arrive for late breakfast dining. The service was very good and staff was friendly. The food was disappointing on my last visit. I ordered bacon, eggs, home fries and toast. The bacon was over cooked to burnt and the home fries were not freshly cooked. They tasted like they were leftovers and heated quickly in the microwave. My husband loves pancakes, but was advised by the waitress not to order since they were small, go figure. Nonetheless, we won’t return.

This is your perfect ma and pop diner setting. The food is awesome with a home kitchen style and taste. I came here for Easter brunch and the special was country fried steak. I left fat and happy. Delicious. Great place in the area standing strong with all of the chains around!

My father-in-law and I come here every Veterans Day and Memorial Day for breakfast on our way to the Quantico National Cemetery. Great food and especially great place to sit and take your time. The«vibe» is very family friendly and feels like your mom is making you your favorite breakfast on a Saturday morning. If you want to be rushed, and feel the hectic pace then go down the road to IHOP, but if you want to catch your breath over a plate of great breakfast… this is your place.

We came here for breakfast a year ago and it a great, came back a few weeks ago and Oh My! What a horrible decision that was! The Coffee was very watered down and weak! The service was horrible and the French toast was over priced for what you get! The bacon was almost too crispy to enjoy! Not sure what happened in the year, but we won’t be back!

Tried this place for the first and only time. We were excited when we pulled up because the restaurant was busy, so we thought for sure, they would be good. We sat down and didn’t get greeted for about 10 minutes, which we understood because it was busy. We ordered the 3 stack of pancakes as an appetizer. The pancakes were the tiny frozen pancakes you buy at the grocery store! They were so disgusting and could could not believe they were 4.75 and that they would serve those! My husband and I both ordered the breakfast platter(2 eggs, potatoes, choice of meat and either toast, grits, or oatmeal); he got bacon, I got Kielbasa sausage. My hubby’s bacon was the real processed kind that’s really crunchy and fake– gross. My sausage was good, but I got 3 tiny little pieces! I felt so ripped off! The potatoes and eggs were cooked well, but definitely won’t come back and we don’t understand how the place was so busy. I just think they’re not many good food options around here.

We had seen this café many times while driving in the area. We finally decided to stop in for breakfast last week. We got in there about 11:30am or a bit after. There were a few customers in there and they looked pretty happy with their meals. So we thought it would be good and were pleased we stopped in. We were provided a full menu — breakfast, lunch, dinner. I contemplated ordering lunch, so did my mate, but when staff arrived to take our order we were told«breakfast only» was being served, since it was the weekend. So we reviewed the menu quickly, and I ordered. My adventure mate began ordering, and then the staff ask if we knew the specials — we didn’t because no one had mentioned that they were available and we didn’t see any signs when we came through the door. So we learned about those and my mate ordered the country fried steak and eggs. I got the ham and cheese omelet with american cheese. I got coffee and he got sweet tea to drink. The coffee came out quickly in a big mug and it was pretty good. Then our food came out. My omelet was brown on the outside, and had very little ham and cheddar cheese in it. And since the staff had asked me what kind of cheese I wanted in it — I thought I would get that, but I didn’t get american cheese at all. The toast was good. The hashbrowns were just ok. I was not happy with my omelet but I ate a bit more than half of it. My mate’s meal was just ok. The country fried«steak» was more like a sausage patty that was breaded and deep-fried(I had a bite) and covered with white gravy. He ordered his eggs over medium but they were not — and the whites were very runny. The prices were quite a bit more than we thought it was worth. We could have eaten at many other places around there for a better price and with quality food. We won’t go back. I know many folks like this place and frequent it often. We were not impressed all in all.

The food was pretty good but our table was dirty. I like the mismatched coffee cups but unfortunately ours were dirty. We love small diners and we were really excited to try this place but after a wait to get in okay food and a dirty table we were not overly impressed.

I thought I check this place out since there are no other places like«jimmy the Greek» restaurant. I was hoping to call this place me and wife’s new weekend breakfast place. I’m afraid I’m going to have to go somewhere else from here on out. The service to get the food to the table was quick, so I won’t hate them on that. However I thought the quality wasn’t good. I ordered 3 eggs, sausages and a small order of biscuits and gravy. The eggs were okay and that was all. The rest of every was Cold and not that tasty at all(sausage was cold and hard). The biscuits and gravy tasted like they were microwaved. Keep in mind that I came here at 10am, so no one can say i came during the time of lunch. The waitress was nice so they get a 4 for politeness. However I had to get up from my chair to go ask for the check as I was never asked how my meal was while I was eating. I’m not sure if their other items on the menu are good, but I think I will pass. I rather go to Bob Evans for some breakfast instead

Burnt hard dry bacon Weak coffee that we had to ask for a refill of. Over easy eggs when I asked for over medium. Bland boring homefries with an odd sour taste. French toast that wasn’t far off from just slices of cheap bread. Cramped seating and a dirty feel over all.

Ham and cheese omelet lacked ham and cheese. Sides of bacon were bricks of about 3 – 4 overcooked pieces stuck together. Biscuit was dry and plain, seemed like it came from a store bought roll. An omelet and french toast breakfast(2 people) with drinks cost us $ 25 before tip. Overall I could have cooked a much better breakfast at home. I doubt I will be coming back.

We visited for breakfast with one of our boys while the other was camping with his Scout group. My husband got the chicken fried steak after seeing it brought to a nearby table and asking for their review(they raved!). The ladies were spot on and hubby was indeed happy with his decision. My son got biscuits and gravy and really enjoyed those as well(he’s 12 so there weren’t many details offered, lol). My pancakes, however, were severely undercooked. I found this intriguing since they were on the thinner side. Upon telling our server, she apologized and offered to have them remade or bring me something else. She also said they get a lot of praise for their French toast if I’d rather try that. I love a good French toast so I opted for that over pancakes 2.0. The bacon I ordered was extra crispy as requested, which always perks up my morning. Breakfast was redeemed! Coffee is served piping hot and frequently refilled in mismatched mugs like you’d have at home; the servers are friendly and attentive and the dining room is clean. Parking is a challenge so be forewarned. The front parking lot is small and slopes steeply. The rear parking lot is small, so park carefully. The prices are a bit more than a chain restaurant(e.g. IHOP) but we personally don’t mind paying a bit more(it really is just a «bit» more) to support a «Mom & Pop» establishment. I was a bit let down that the syrup is served in pre-portioned plastic to-go condiment cups instead of a decent container(Mike’s staff: consider mismatched mini creamer pitchers or small gravy boats). Also, there are no «combo platters»(pancakes/Fr. Toast, eggs, meat) available, something I personally prefer. A la carte items are available. Overall: GREAT place to eat if you like REAL local joints. You’ll see plenty of regulars(the staff greets them by name) and you’ll feel right at home in the dining room that resembles your Mom’s or Grandma’s eat in kitchen.

Wasn’t a fan. Kinda expensive for really simple sandwiches like a BLT. The service made us feel like they wanted us in and out. Wouldn’t go there again.

Ate there for the first and last time after living in stafford for 10 yrs. The cooks idea of scrambled eggs is a large plain omelet. Have not been back since.

Food was poor quality when we visited last year. We have not returned. I had the breakfast. The omelet was horrible and the toast was cold. Coffee was burnt. Hopefully they have gotten better since our visit.

Get whatever the special is –my chicken fried steak was sent down from heaven. It’s good food, locally owned and well priced. I always choose it over IHOP or Bob evans, but it’s also popular so get there early.

It is a small mom and pop kind of place so the hours are short and to the point. I came here at brunch time it was fairly busy but they found a spot for us to sit. the food was amazing with nice portions and the staff was very polite. i think it’s really cool that they have a bunch of random coffee cups to give everyone haha. This place is worth a visit for your family or by yourself. I will be back again. Pros– Cons– Price Parking Staff. Location Unique Food quality Portion Coffee
