China Xpress

I’m really surprised to see these negative reviews! China Xpress has been great in my experience. I’ve only had delivery from them, but they are always super fast, friendly, and the food comes hot, always. They are a solid option for Chinese food in Stamford and with no delivery minimum, it’s a win-​win!

Horrible. This is a good restaurant when you have no time. But the service is horrible. The workers are not nice at all especially when you order online and the place is overpriced. The prices online are different than what they actually charge and when they say it comes with something you have to pay extra.

I ordered 3 different kinds of low mein and they all tasted terrible. The majority of my noodles were burnt and they used different kind of veggies in each of the low meins. There was absolutely no parking when I went to pick up the food and there was a bunch of noise in the background when I called. I’m from out of town and the Chinese places where I’m from are so much better than this. Don’t waste your time here.

I used to order takeout here occasionally but that ultimately ended after one of their employees argued with me and cursed me out over the phone. Once upon a time on a weekend afternoon in early June, I called China Xpress to place a order of shrimp and broccoli w/​white rice and garlic sauce. The guy that answered the phone did not seem enthusiastic about his job at all. It seemed like he was almost whispering over the phone. I could barely make the words he was saying but placed my order anyways hoping that he would understand. Soon after placing my order I told him I would be paying by credit card and told him «im ready when you are,» he then asked for my credit card numbers and kept getting them wrong after repeating them to me for confirmation. After 3 — 4 attempts he was pissed and started cursing at me. I thought this was a joke but no, it was real, real terrible service! I would give this place a negative 1 star if I could but i guess Unilocal’s one star and my experience is sufficient enough.

Yummy dumplings and tangy dipping sauce– a favorite we always order. Hunan chicken has subtle heat and excellent veggies– broccoli, bell pepps, onion, snow peas, shrooms. Delivery always prompt! :-)
