Pizza arrived cold and congealed. We ordered a salad which did not come with the order. We will be going back to Outpost!

Me and my friend got food poisoning from here. If you want the real thing and the best thing. Do yourself a favor and go to COLONYGRILL. Thank me later

This pizza is very similar if not the same thing as Colony! The hot oil pizza with cherry peppers is my fave.

My office ordered about 8 pizzas from here. We were told it would take 45 minutes to an hour, but they were delivered in about 30 minutes(pleasantly surprised since I was starving). The pizza was good, thin crust, just the right amount of cheese, and the sausage was quality meat. My coworkers also ordered a plain cheese pizza and a hot oil pizza. Upon eating the pizza, I was wondering why this pizza tasted so familiar. Then I was told that when this place first opened, they hired someone who used to work at Colony Grill, and used their pizza recipe as their own. And it does taste almost EXACTLY like Colony, looks like it too. I can’t give it more stars because: 1) the pizza was a bit greasy, 2) it’s exactly like Colony, and 3) there was a small piece of hair baked into the cheese. Mostly due to number 3.

This is the first poor review I’ve ever written on Unilocal.Delivery time is very poor. If you want to call the restaurant to make sure there isn’t a problem, the phone hangs up when trying to track. You’ll have to choose a different option and wait on hold for 10 minutes before speaking to someone. So, if you’re ordering pizza, it’ll be cold/soggy by the time it gets to you an hour and a half after you placed the order(an hour after out of the oven). Not worth it. The pizza may be great when it’s fresh out of the oven, so maybe you just need to eat it there. Don’t order delivery. Really a disappointing experience.

I been going to Riko’s since they open until recently. My family orders once a week but not since they apparently change the policy that cant pay for food over the phone(only with delivery) if that makes any type of sense. But due to the supervisor(SAL) said they have not been following the rules of the manager request so all of a sudden this is happening. So i got terribly upset and the girl who I was speaking to got very disrespectful. Ever since this incident I order from then once by delivery and they knew who i was by my phone number a pie and a salad took over an Hour(I live 10 mins away). I spoke with Sal over 4 times asking where my meal was and he told me to deal with it. Picked up my first pizza from Riko’s at Newfield Avenue, Stamford and it will be my LAST. This was the most disgusting, greasy, nasty pizza I have ever eaten. Beware, the mushrooms look and taste like they came out of a bottle and the rest just dripped oil everywhere. The taste in my mouth right now is just pure slime and gross. Stay away. I hate Domino too, but would eat that anytime over this nasty stuff.

I just went back for a week to work at Mohegan Sun and spend quality time with my family as I grew up in Stamford. Well, my brother in law brought home dinner one night and it was a half dozen Riko’s Pizza. Had no idea what they were until I opened the box. It looked, smelled and tasted like Colony Grill pizza. I am a big fan of Colony Grill pizza on Myrtle Avenue in Stamford, CT. But I have never found comparable pizza to Colony Grill until this. Certainly no pizzeria in Las Vegas makes this kind of thin crust, flavorful crunchy goodness. Awesome.

Can’t believe I lived two miles away and didn’t know about these guys… especially that they deliver! Great pizza, friendly staff, will be back again… and again… and again.

I have to ask, What happened??? We ordered take-out from Rikko’s today and as I was eating the pizza I was thinking that something has changed. The flavor was definitely«different». I wasn’t the only one. Every person eating was thinking the exact same thing. I have been a Colony patron for 30+ yrs and when Rikko’s opened, I reluctantly tried it, and surprisingly liked it. I liked it so much I had pretty much switched from Colony to Rikko’s. After today, I don’t think I’ll be going back. Something in the recipe has definitely changed. I can’t tell if it’s one thing or a combination of things, but I think they need to go back to what they were originally doing because it was outstanding.

What happened? I have always ordered from Riko’s select street when I wanted pizza. I was one of their first supporters. Tonight unfortunately is my last order to RIKOS. I called them and placed an order around 5pm. I called at 6:30 asking where my order was and was told due to the game there has been a delay an will be there any second, I call back 15 minutes later and this time the reason was different, was weather. I live .25 miles from the restaurant. Finally receive the pizza and honestly was like a warm frozen pizza from the supermarket, I paid 45 dollars! Note to owners, stop growing so fast to other locations, your existing locations are going downhill in quality and suffering with your loyal customer. I will never recommend your establishment again based on the service and quality from my past 3 experiences.

Delivery sucks — Took them(rikos newfield) 1 hour 20 min to deliver 2 pizza. The pizza is good but I would rather get it from colony grill. Even if you go to pickup it takes 45 min at rikos newfield. Order well in advance else be prepared to wait and get frustrated. There are plenty of other restaurant that make equally good or better pizza.

5 guys and 10 pizzas gone in 25mins!!! Sooo good, the spicy oil drizzle is great and the food itself is very flavorful.

This was one of those places that delivered exactly what I expected from them, prior to walking in the door. In this case, it was tasty thin-crust«pub style pizza». For those who do not know what that is, you first need to visit Colony Grill in Stamford, where as I understand the owner of Riko‘s, had previously worked at. So that person, essentially borrowed their former employers pizza style and ventured out on their own. It is not too much dough/crust, lots of mozz, some sauce. But, it is by no means a top notch pie. If this was a bar like Colony, and you had a few drinks, you might give it 4 stars. Keep in mind, this Norwalk location, is only take-out, which given its‘ proximity to many office buildings along Main Ave., was a good business decision on their part. If you‘re looking for thick crust or a «gourmet pie», this ain‘t your spot.

I can’t say anything bad about this restaurant. Great big parking space. Restaurant is SUPER clean and spacious. The waiters are very helpful and super nice. When they are busy they are very accommodating. Been coming here since they opened and nothing has changed since then. Everything is delicious! A few of my favorite pizzas are: Hawaiian $ 13.50, Sausage $ 11, and Mushroom $ 11. Always comes out hot and fresh — thin crust, flaky and crisp! When mistakes were made with our order they were really nice to remove the cost from the bill and gave us free pizzas on the house for the inconvenience. Very nice of them to do :) FYI: If you want take-out pizza, it is still delicious a little cold or even reheated in the oven hours later.

Solid pizza, but strange delivery experience. I added a tip on my credit card when ordering, but the receipt that I was given inconspicuously displayed the tip I had added to the total price and left room for an additional tip. I of course didn’t add anything further, as the tip was already included in the total, but the delivery driver acted indignant and mentioned that tips weren’t included. After I explained the situation he apologized and seemingly understood, but overall it was very misleading and required some close inspection, which shouldn’t be the case. Not sure if this is due to lack of communication on behalf of Riko’s or if the delivery driver was just trolling for additional money, but this has to be rectified.

I have not been here in a couple of years but it is still cranking out good pizza. The pie is made with a beautiful combination of a very thin crust(think of the super thin crust served in St. Louis) and a sweet tomato sauce. It has all the flavor and love without the added fat of the original Colony version.

So I am all alone. From Syracuse NY. My daughter is in being treated at Stamford Hospital. Rico’s had +reviews and Unilocal never let’s me down. I walk in not knowing what to expect. I figured if I didn’t like the look of the place I could order Togo. So I come I’m and it’s a nice clean open friendly place. So I decide to sit in the dining room. To my surprise the waiter brings me coupons. Usually coupons so not work for just one person but I was wrong. He pointed out a coupon for a cheese pizza drink and salad for $ 12.99. Well all you need to see is my photos and you will be amazed. Fresh huge portions. I will be back A+++

So I read the reviews and I have to say, as an Italian and a Chef you people are nuts. Call me Crazy!!! Hey, maybe it’s me, but I’m not a fan. Not even a hairline fraction of a fan. I’ve never been to Colony other then to walk in and walk right the heck out. And I was told these places had great pizza. Thats great pizza? Im sorry… it’s not. Pizza Post in Greenwich can beat those places blind. I know, they don’t deliver but its worth the drive. Sorry Rico… you aint suave.

Interesting history on how this joint came about(see Stamford papers news article). Anyway, the comparison is to the famous pies @ Colony Grill pies of Stamford(see my review) it’s become a «he said /she said» war. Hey, I don’t wanna fight– I just wanna eat! This is a new spot so it’s clean, bright, no nonsense interior style. A ½dozen flat screens adorning the walls cuz God forbid a current sporting event go unwatched! Better menu w more choices like 6 different types of salad– yah! One must balance the carb indulging w a little greens. We had the gorgonzola salad, the mozzarella salad & Rico’s: all were really crisp, fresh, nice ingredients. Comes w O/V but they offer Ranch also. The mozzerella was fresh & had good creamy texture. They offer wine which is just basic stuff &6 different beers so we had Stella by the pitcher served in traditional iced Stella goblets– nice touch. On to the pies: this is «bar pizza» See my pizza list if you care to delve into my hardcore pie philosophy: We had: anchovies & black olive, mushroom w sausage, pepperoni, margarita style w fresh basil, hot oil(my fave!). Texturally the pie is reminiscent of Colony. I like mine well done yet this still has a chewy bite to it. They definately add more cheese but the sauce is basically the same. The bigger difference for me was the hot oil. It’s different in both taste & color & intensity than Colony’s which is richer & spicier. Immaculate bathrooms. Huge private parking. Overall this is a good exsperience & I liked the pies BUT I prefer Colony.
