I’ve never played tennis before and wanted to try a clinic without spending too much money. I googled tennis in the Stamford area and found Shippan Racquet Club and saw the promotions they had going on. I was able to pay $ 150 for 6 lessons and got a free racquet… the tennis pro was not only friendly but he made me feel less nervous about trying the sport. It was definitely worth the money and I recommend anyone wanting to try the sport to go to Shippan Racquet Club.

I have been taking clinics for 2.5 years at this place and ONLY because I like the people in my clinic. They are priced way to high for the service. Pros are good but they staff only cares about making money. You will never be able to make up a class. The rates just keep going up and they don’t tell. Many times I find out once I check my bank statement. They never return phone calls unless is time to get paid. They are not accomodating, they kicked us out of our clinic time before telling us and had already reserved another kids clinic (of course because it more money). There are so many other clinics in the area that are worth the price. After this winter session I will NEVER do another clinic there again regardless of who is in the class.

These people are so rude and unhelpful. Phone calls were never returned. I was tossed from one class to the next and then the woman coordinating classes basically told me that I was a bad tennis player and the people in the class didn’t want me there. Even if that was the case, you don’t need to tell me the details of how I suck– that is the reason I was taking the class anyway. I would NEVER go back.
