my boyfriend and I went to tango grill thinking its nice because we were celebrating a special occasion. the food was amazing no doubt about that, but the service was terrible. we had 5 different servers come to the table every 5 minuets and ask us if we were all done or all set. because clearly the place was empty and they were trying to leave. its definitely not cheap so we didn’t expect to feel like they were trying to push us out. next time i rather get a take out order.

the wines by the glass were ok, nothing great. the food? after living in Miami for so long i am very used to good argentinian food, tango grill has a long way to go. The H had the churrasco, the quality of the steak was good, the size VERY good but the taste?! too much smokingness, the smoke flavor overpowered the great flavors a skirt steak, and it was missing plain and simple salt. just a little salt can go so far. I order the beef milanese, they made a mistake and sent a chicken milanese instead, it is ok, it happens, but in my point of view if you inly have 2 customers in the whole place(we set at the bar) it looks VERY bad that you made such a mistake. anyhow, the décor is nice, parking its free, service was ok. overview of our experience? non memorable but would we be back? i dont think so.

Whether for a family dinner or couple’s night out, I have experienced many hits and misses with my culinary ventures but in 20 years, I’ve never felt compelled to write a review. That changed last night. Our evening at Tango Grill had to be the most horrible, unpalatable, and possibly a risky dance with food poisoning experience. Five of us went to dinner, so the restaurant had five dishes plus appetizers to try and get it right but from start to finish, each dish just got worst. Clearly stale bread. Unseasoned and still frozen fried zucchini. Caesar salad with wilted and brown lettuce with a sour aftertaste. The Branzino had a pungent smell and taste. The penne had a store bought vodka sauce flavor. The chicken was raw and gummy in the middle. The mixed grill(beef) had the taste of approaching its expiration date if not already passed. And the steak fries that came with were all raw and frozen potato in the middle. The servers had a listless attitude that reflected the quality of the food and I’m baffled to understand how with only 5 tables occupied we could have been so lost in obscurity to the staff for periods of 15 minutes or more. I read all the reviews before making reservations and decided that the good outweighed the bad. Please don’t make my mistake unless you’re Gordon Ramsey taping an episode of Kitchen Nightmares and decided to give a helping hand.

Had dinner the other day. Overall, it wasn’t a very positive dining experience. I won’t be going back The food was good. I’ll give it that. It was a pricey for what we got. The service was awful. Our waitress had an attitude, was rude and unfriendly. Service was slow in general, and we were the only table there. Stamford has great energy in general, but this place was dead.
