My grand daughter will be 3 in February 2015 and every day I give thanks to Dr. Hanley and his team for the superior medical care they gave to dear Ellie to correct her heart issue Tretralogy of Fallot that runs in my family. Dr. Hanley gave my daughter exceptional care on the birthing day and then 6 months later for the 14 hour open heart surgery to correct Ellie’s heart issues. The surgery was a complete success and now Ellie is running, jumping, playing and in target with all her growth and development. Dr. Hanley must sit next to God for his professionalism, care, wisdom and healing. Thank you to Dr. Hanley and the staff @ LPCH @ Stanford.

19 Years ago I was 10 and Dr. Hanley saved my life. He was at UCSF back then and was one of a few surgeons in the country that could perform the surgery I needed. I owe every breath I take to this man. Thank you.

I’m pretty sure most parents would agree there is nothing more terrifying than handing your child over to have heart surgery. From the day we met Dr Hanley, he could not have been more understanding and compassionate with my wife and I regarding our two year old daughter who needed her heart repaired. Along with his beyond fantastic bedside manners, his passion and talents to help heal our children are matched by only a select few in the entire world. We were blessed to have Dr Hanley fix our daughter who is now happy, healthy and living a normal life. Thank you, Dr Hanley for what you do! Fantastic experience all around!

What words can you say about someone who has saved your childs life. This man has a gift which has saved the lives of so many children. I pray for him since he has been an angel and hero to our family. He is the best in the world and I trust him completely. I think he has wings hidden under his scrubs!

This man is a true hero. He pioneered a one-​stage surgery that he performed on my son when we were told that he would need 3 open heart surgeries to get to where he is after Dr. Hanley’s one stage procedure. Not to mention that he squeezed our son’s surgery into his already impossible schedule. I cannot say enough about this man and the work he is doing. My son is currently doing better than any other child my cardiologist has see with his particular lesion. Dr. Hanley is the man.
